+ArmonkFD1111 Thanks! The bowling pin helps the low level strainer out when the water level gets low. It prevents the water from going into a whirlpool and maintains a vacuum for a lot longer than if it wasn't in there. We've seen a whirlpool as high as 1-2 feet (which is a lot of water left if you take into consideration how big a dump tank is) and then we lose prime.
