I love the trajectory of the story. The fact she is still single is weirdly comforting not because I don’t want her to be married but because it seems more realistic or relatable. Most every testimony I’ve seen like this always ends perfectly. They do some magical fast, or say some magical prayer and then boom the perfect guy shows up the next day and it makes me feel forgotten or like I’m doing something wrong because I’ve been praying, fasting, crying out to God for 10+ years. I’m finally at a place of peace but like I said it’s refreshing to hear something I can actually relate to
I admire you Ashley for standing up to what Society thinks you should be doing. I’m trying to get my daughter to understand this concept. Before my Husband and I met, we both had come to the place where we did not date at all for Years! It was a choice to be set apart for our future spouses. It’s possible and meaningful. I encourage every young person to separate from the “hookup culture” and explore who GOD says you are. It leads to true happiness in a secure marriage.

Great video! Ashley is a beautiful godly woman and in her honesty helps out myself and many other single people. 3yrs later the video is still making an impact! I believe if we all put God first in our life he will see to it that he will fulfill us. I think God likes to use our hearts desires as a tool for our growth. Being 27, single, good looking, confident, etc isn’t bad but when you want to fall in love and find your wife/spouse it can be hard. Very humbling experience. The key I think outside of putting God first is to be the kind of man women want, and more importantly be the kind of man you want to become. Something along those lines is important, the world needs strong godly men and women. Anyways of course I don’t have the final answer, but this life is short and we need to live it to the fullest. Wish us single people luck lol! We need it
Consider surrendering that desire to the Lord, completely. Jesus. I give this desire to be married to You. If it's in Your will for me to be married, You do it in Your time. If it's not Your will for me, then work in me to be completely okay with that and content with You and You alone.

I once had a guy from bible study ask me this some years ago, Keith, you are single and so am I, how to you approach searching for a life partner? I simply said this: As I journey thru this life as a follower of Christ, I first place Him first in my life and place the desire of marriage into His hands because I want to have a burning desire of knowing Him and directing the love I have to Him alone and if I am to be married, then He will bring forth the best for me rather then I search for her.
But, I felt like I should have went for two sets of 40 days but I didn’t follow through, I haven’t had someone who seems to be for me, yet... I lost a bit of money... & don’t have much, nor do I have a job or am I allowed to manage “my” own finances.
Great to hear this I have been doing this for years many years I have had different woman want to marry me but I don't do it because of my requirements it must be a truly godly woman that I choose not that she follows me about God but she already has had a long relationship with God , a mature godly woman
anthony esparsen why long? You’re part of the problem lol. You are probably missing out on great God fearing women because you created an unnecessary requirement of length. I believe this generation of men, need to go forth and pursue their wives rather than choosing passivity. The onus is on you all

I love this testimony I feel like I been doing this longer waiting for marriage and no dating nor flirting or any intentions to date unless God confirms that my husband. The wait feels forever but in reality when we are at peace with God he makes the waiting time the most joyful times when he’s in the midst and centre of our lives we let go and let God and his timing is perfect. The waiting is never wasted🙌🏼! Jesus my beloved

Ashley, who said that quote? & that what you said, ‘God is your portion.’ Was for the tribe of Levite’s who was not given a portion of the Promised Land, ‘HaShim’(The Name-Hebrew for God) was and is their portion.
I idolize marriage, because I struggle with lustful thoughts and desires and hope to solve this problem to give all my passion to a christian wife. So I can enjoy sex to the fullest, without committing adultery anymore.
What I see in the world is woman putting their man before God , just because they are attracted to him, even if the manis not a Christian 99%of the time they are not at all not even in the ballpark
I can't even get a date and never could get one. Women hate autistic men. I feel as if I've given God years of my life and got nothing back. I'm still alone and never had a date in my life. I honestly feel cheated.

It is the best thing to do. I'm a single mom and I've been celibate for 10 years and I've grown in Him. It changed me too💓

When I was in my early 20s I gave God a year and I became friends with my future husband at the end of that year.
