Indian English speakers will use a thick accent that no-one else will understand & feel proud speaking it. Be confident that you have the right accent that everyone else will understand
Hey @madhukarrao3683, thanks for the feedback. :) haha maine ye dhyan nai dia kabhi! I think ispe bhi dhyan dena padega, may be because of my HINGLISH 😃
Doesn't matter whether you have an Indian accent or not, if you don't sound annoying or rude it is fine. Sundar Pichai has a pretty Indian accent but it sounds gentle. The same cannot be said for every person.
I teach online to people of different countries, none of them have trouble understanding my accent at all. Because, I know which are the tones/accents that Indians overdo that's very different from Native english speaker. So, it's not "Wery, it's Very", it's not "Tounge in cheek T..that ends with tttttt..., it's much more relaxed and breathy T, same with D", and slow down, because Indian vowles are shorter and doesn't have the phonetical ups and downs, our English sounds too fast to a native speaker...so, slow down, say the words clearly. This is called neutralization..You don't have to pick the foreign accent, just remove the thickness from your accent and neutralize it, everyone will understand it and like it.
It is not about gaining accent. It is about 'neutralising' some thick/strong ways of speaking - which varies by whether you are north, south or east Indian. Finally, rolling the 'Rrrr' and stretching the 'Llll' is an American thing - it is not neutralising.. Brits, Aussies, Kiwis will struggle to understand. So - you are best off by NEUTRALISING .....
@@ParasPerspective thanks mate - after neutralising - next step is correct pronunciation and right syllable stress. finally, most important - Indians speak too FAST!!! We need to slow down and think clearer. This will make you sound like a Global Indian CEO 🙂.....
In America, accents vary depending on location, such as Black, white, young, old, male, or female, office, and general ...." Keep chewing gum in your mouth talk Indian English it sounds like...native speakers English. Indians and UK people speak very clearly, we can understand word by word...
@@ParasPerspective You are spot on about talking in Hindi though, you can take an Indian out of India but never take India out of an Indian. We never forget our native language which we grew up with

Phonics is taught in schools in the United States.
I believe so. And for kids it's easy to adapt. Clean slate and no need to UNLEARN.
Bhaiyya aapka Hindi may bhi English accent hai. You don't notice

Indians do not have to roll any words. Just be careful about your V and W. Most Indians substitute W for words starting with a V.
Thanks mate for the feedback. That's another point to note.
No offence but ur hindi sounds very similar to Chatur from 3 idiots.😂😂
😂😂😂 hopefully only Hindi and not anything else!

Thanks Ritu for sharing your insights. Absolutely, be clear with your speech.
😂 you are pretending you have different accent and it sounds very cringey.
hahahaha.. that's why the first thing I mentioned in the video is I always get trolled for my English. :-D But - was I clear enough? ;-)
Your hindi accent is not nice, Speak hindi like a Indian native speaker. My intention is not to offend you,
Thanks Ananta for the feedback. Yes may be it got mixed because of Hinglish.

Amazing @Amuzic, thanks for share your experience. Neutralisation is the key. One must be clear enough even without picking any accent. Thanks again.
Very nice point of view 👍👌🏻
