Eiji Muroya I’ve never played with a zhangjike alc before but I am playing with a zjk super zlc now and I can tell you the latter is much stiffer and the bounce is a lot more than that one the Viscaria.
Actually the Viscaria is still produced by Butterfly, it can be found in their official store. So you say it flex a bit? Because usually the carbon is quite stiff.. Anyhow, I have the ALC too, it's a great blade, I really like it. But I agree with you, it's not for beginners. You can't feel it too much, it basically doesn't vibrate.
Have you ever played with a thick allwood blade?? I have a 5plies all wood donic epox offensiv and I would like to ask you if butterfly viscaria is less stiff than my blade... Because despite my blade is allwood, its thickness is like 6.8mm or maybe 7mm. And Viscaria has 2 layers of ALC but it is only 5.7mm thick. I really appreciate if you can help me out because I want to buy a zhang jike ALC or a viscaria due to the soft feel with great speed.
Eiji Muroya I’ve played with two all wood blades. My first one was Hurricane H-wl. My second one is Stiga Ebenholz V. They are both. They were both not as fast as current carbon blades, but then again they are just normal thickness. I’ve never played with an all wood blade thicker than these two. However I did try Schlager Carbon which is really thick and quite a powerhouse.
i tried both of them in other rubbers, timo boll has more nice feel with tibhar MXS rubbers, viscaria with TENERGY 80 has more vibrate feel, and what i think is diferent is timo boll alc has reserv speed, viscaria is more bauncy in first contact, bot when a tried without rubber timo boll alc is more bouncy and more fill, viscaria is more hardnes and lees bounce and more vibration what I dont like. Don't forget, has no blade than timo boll alc feels is amazing
+MikeyMakesMusic yes just for amateur players overall I would recommend softer blades over stiffer blades and if you r going with all wood then 5 ply instead of 7.
thanks for the help man really appreciate it!! My recent blade just broke and i have nationals in my country very soon and am panicking to get a new blade haha just ordered timo boll alc bc I've heard it is amazing.
Hey dude, I have a quick question for you. Currently I'm using a Timo Boll ZLC (T05 FH & BH) . I'm not feel confortable with that blade. My main concern is that I can't felt the ball specially on my BH when I make a topspin. Also I have a bunch of issues to return short serves (touch play) I let the ball really easy for the oponent. For my is a good blade for fast hits without much spin. But is really difficult for me make a safe slow topspin I was thinking if a Timo Boll ALC can have a better ball feeling and more control than ZLC. What to you think? You mentioned that the viscarya has soft-feel. It means that you can feel the ball more than the TB ALC? Thanks in advance. PS: I'm from argentina and I'm not a professional player, just an intermediate one. Sorry if I made some english mistakes.
Hello, I've never played with a zlc blade before, but from what I heard they are of less control than alc blades. Out of the alc blades avid aria definitely has the most control. The vibration can be felt pretty much any where on the racket. That means different areas you contact will give you a different vibration. For many players with good technique and strong power this blade with such control is the perfect balance.
Thanks for your response. So, in your opinion the Viscaria has the best control compared with the others ALC blades from butterfly. In my case I have no a good technique yet. Do you recomend this blade for me? or should I try with a all wood blade (like Timo Boll W7) instead of a carbon blade? Thanks
+Julian Gonzalez Actually I don't know you need to have that good technique to be able to play a carbon blade. Most carbon blades provide a good feel and has that "automatic propelling ball" effect, which means less energy is required to perform a shot with more power. So I'd say even new players can play with carbon blades. If you don't know your body like professional athletes I'd recommend playing with a carbon because it saves you more energy to perform the same type of shots. All wood blades does provide more control but lacks the self propelling property that carbon blades have, so unless you train like athletes you'd not get the most out of all wood blades.
Thank you friend. You were really clear. I have never tried an ALC blade. I used a Primorac and then I moved to the Timo Boll ZLC and so far is really difficult for me control this blade. Thanks for your help
sam sailo if the serial number matches that of the box then it should be real. The new logo is butterfly's new design. As in my video there's a comparison with the older logo on the timo boll all.
shingoukiex cheers bro , one more question , coz I'm using donic topspeed blade and mark v rubber and I like to try something different or better , however I love the mark v . So u think it's a good try to go for timo alc and tenergy 05 ? Thank u :)
Fayzo911 I'm currently using mark V on my backhand and I'd say it's a relatively slow rubber compared to Tenergy. You need a really good technique to get the full force of the mark V effect, i.e. very good brushing. So I'd recommend trying tenergy.
AARON LEE Can you elaborate on what the JTTAA should look like? This is the new batch of viscarias made after the old viscarias in Japan has been discontinued, that's why everything including the butterfly logo and box look different. I've been using it for over a year and it's quality is superb. A fake viscaria would not play like this.
The "J.T.T.A.A."on the bottom of the racket is blurred. It does not look like a product from Butterfly. You can find many pics on the Internet, and compare them with your racket. Actually, some of the copy Viscaria have reached similar quality as an authentic Vis.

Hi, can you tell me how timo boll alc compares with Zhang jike alc? Thanks
How do you compare butterfly viscaria to butterfly zhang jike ALC?
Eiji Muroya I’ve never played with a zhangjike alc before but I am playing with a zjk super zlc now and I can tell you the latter is much stiffer and the bounce is a lot more than that one the Viscaria.
shingoukiex thanks for your answer. It helps me a lot 😃
zjk alc is completely different from viscaria, I played both. zjk alc have a bad ball feeling, don't like it.
Hi I'm using timo boll alc ,, it is getting faded and getting white spots due to sweat,, is it common
Fading is common because of sweat especially the blue part on the handle. But it should’ve have white spots.
@@shingoukiex ok tku

i need to know which is better in speed and conrol alc or viscera
Eng Ahmed ALC is faster. Viscaria has more control.
Viscaria is an ALC composite blade .. compose of 5 ply wood with 2 layers of carbon which is ALC
Ok ... which rubber is good on viscera.. 05 black and red.... or blufire m2 red and black or mix .. please
Eng Ahmed these rubbers are similar, but I do find tenergies to last longer.
how do you compare viscaria to nittaku acoustic carbon?

Hello, thanks for the review. Lin Gaoyuan alc harder than boll alc? What about vibration, “ball filling” and control ?
Hi. I haven’t tried LGY alc before, so I’m not 100 sure.
i tried both of them in other rubbers, timo boll has more nice feel with tibhar MXS rubbers, viscaria with TENERGY 80 has more vibrate feel, and what i think is diferent is timo boll alc has reserv speed, viscaria is more bauncy in first contact, bot when a tried without rubber timo boll alc is more bouncy and more fill, viscaria is more hardnes and lees bounce and more vibration what I dont like. So Viscaria has more control then ALC??
Viscaria is an ALC blade. Just a relatively softer one.
sorry i meant Timo Boll ALC haha. So for more control and spin you would recommend viscaria?

Looks like the TB ALC is fake, the real logo on the bottom without text. Sorry if i’m wrong

I know that tenergies have long lifetime .. i mean if i put 05 black ... and m2 red is that good for viscera..and my style play is offensive..
Eng Ahmed sure I think it's a good set up
