I also disagree it can be compared to a Nissan Juke. It’s a luxury car

Unlike the ct200h that it replaced, you can't get a spare wheel under the adjustable height shelf in the boot. But the shelf can be dropped down or removed to give another 4 or 5 inches of depth.

Thank you for your review. We in Germany have this car in a dark design (Style Edition). So it didn't get dirty fast. 😁 I drive it now since 2 weeks. It is a fantastic car. It is comfortable and really relaxing to drive. The cargo space is enough for weekly purchase for a couple (for us here in germany very important: The beer crate is no problem.)😉

I wouldn’t describe it as a family car but it’s still an excellent vehicle for retired couples not needing space for grandchildren. Or singles and couples. We have just bought one second hand in premium sport spec , 2 years old ,for not much more than the Honda Crosstar which we were considering. If reliability and comfort are important to you but you don’t often carry passengers it’s a good choice.

Never thought about a Lexus before but this car is stunning and I love the look of it. No car is ever going to be perfect, but, this ticks all MY boxes in the design of it and it's a Lexus with reliability built in as standard.

Great review! I really like the UX, I always turn my head when I see one! (especially in the orange or blue colours)

Wireless charging has been omitted from the car I’ve on order. Down to shortages of supplies, so Lexus may well have intended to have a wireless charger there but had to omit it.

that is a shame! I have heard similar with BMWs etc doing same

I does have a wireless charger and the touch pad is great once you are used to it. I own one with black seats. It is an option, you can choose colour. I own one and I love it.

This didn't have a charger and the touch pad sure, but I'm comparing it directly to Lexus and their flagship car, the lc500

Think they are doing away with the touch pad for 2023 models thankfully.

This is no family car. The outside length may be there but the interior is just not roomy enough in the back or the trunk. You can make it work if you really like the car but it's not ideal for whoever is going to sit in the back, even a dog. And the trunk is just tiny, I think even bigger shopping trips will be a problem with this trunk, and longer vacations will be a problem if you'd want to bring some snowboarding gear besides clothes.
Otherwise, the car is amazing in the front and it drives like a dream.

For a rich man its "hhmmmmm" , For a poor hard working man this is "WoW".
For me even a car as smart For two is "WoW "
Most important "Whats the Quality" .

Ux. That's funny, in the tech world ux often refers to User eXperience. I'm pretty sure that was done on purpose. Toche Lexus

Excellent review - I have been thinking about one of these, but might be a bit small in the back and boot for my needs. As you mentioned, the ergonomics aren't the best.

I remember last year when I was looking for a new car, and was surprised at just how tight the back seat area was on some hatchbacks (sedans and crossovers).
The other thing that shouldn't have surprised me was my sedans payload...only 849 pounds (I'm use to my pickup truck which is over 1600 pounds). So depending what your car is going to be used for, the max load it can carry for passengers and luggage, could be an issue. Which is probably why so many people like their big SUV's and Pickup trucks in NA.

All the safety cushion is taking space from inside. Hatchbacks are size of sedans on the outside but inside is less space than in the 90's.

    • @MrHVlogsMore
      @MrHVlogsMore  2 года назад +1

Honestly, after being in a Juke and feeling how shit their brakes were, I was genuinely surprised by how good these were. I think it's the weirdest thing that must cheap cars, which first time drivers will buy, or family cars, have the worst safety feature, shit brakes

Awesome video, definitely wanna see more of the channel. This car reminds me so much of the 2019 Merc GLA 180 amg line . This is a little bigger, but the things I hated on the merc was all functions are on one stalk, indicators, windscreen wipers ,and headlights high low beam ,horn the climate control I couldn't operate if I was driving. Because of the awkward place they had it, I had to use a stylus to work the controls and I was stationary . The seats were too big for the inside of the car, made it really dark, and very Claustrophobic, the best thing was the steering wheel, it had the feeling of top quality, and the ride was comfortable the sat nav was useless. I owned it for 7 weeks before buing my 4th qashqai
