Special thanks to Jamie Kirkby and her original composition Ghost Faerie - • Ghost Faerie (Theremin... - and Scott Marshall for his composition "Ghost Sonata" - • "Ghost Sonata" Origina... -
Apologies to touring comedians Brian Barganier and Mike Shustock, who were recorded for this, but we missed a few lines.
Thanks everyone for your subscriptions and comments. I've written a horror film called Hell Van, and would really appreciate your support during its production - videos coming soon!
Doesn't need to be gory and shrieking to be chilling. I appreciate that.
Tony G carpenters movie didn’t have that much gore, it had it’s creepy moments
@@subways610 they had a shit ton of gore. The Thing is one of the most visceral movies ever made. That’s one of its hallmarks in history
"We must burn! All of Us, Burnnnnn!" *Get's a knuckle sandwich* @10:12 cracked me up hahaha : D
Romeo WOOT Haha yeah, I still laugh at that too. I also like his "I'm blind!" delivery.
Hahahaha Yeah! It fits well with the theme and how this is old school version of the The Thing : D Gives me a Johnny Quest vibe.
7:47 _No! If it lived with an ax in his head-bullets wont do it!_
Yet uses a handgun to shoot the Thing😂😂😂
So he'd just stand there and do nothing?
I automatically play morricones thumping end credits in my head as I read the end credits.
I love that you guys are making motion comics again. I only wish there were more Thing comics for you guys to read, you guys make it so fun to hear them.
What an excellent story to make a movie from.
or even a game if done correctly
Funny how a short story turned movie twice influenced so much of modern horror fans tastes.
Carpenters masterpiece side by side w mouth of madness.
I loved the four Starstream comics! I wonder if Carpenter had the dog transformation of this version in mind when he made The Thing!
I thought that too!
Blair's voice actor was channeling Krusty the Clown.
Wow, this was amazing and so much better burning a doobie.
It's very perfectly directed and performed by the narrator as how she actually added expression of tension n agitation while reading those narrative lines 💯 lovely work enjoyed a lot ❤️
I hope they make another Thing film. The 2011 film was not what I wanted but with this franchise I was willing to take what I can get. As long as the effects are practical and the script is great.
I have an idea for this franchise that would blow it out of the water!
@@slowmutants plz do share via video!!! It would be cool if yoi made a story board and voiced it like you do the comics.
@@NextGenCouncil That's a great idea!
Well, the sequel has been announced recently.
@@artemorekhov8040 Can you pls share a link to the announcment?
What fun! Thank you. I have the Starstream magazines from my /childhood.
Carpenters version is far more realistic and down to earth.
6:01 For some reason, the original Thing looks funny in design😂😂😂
I think it's in Frozen alien infected with the "THING" virus from some planet?
The original design is actually full blue
@@darkkomet1653 its" man " with light in his face
@johnnywantyoudead5113 That's not the original "thing"
As for the comic dialogue, it seems like an unintentional comedy in each of its moments
Well considering the time of the comic it kind of makes sense but I agree with you I feel the the narrative help a lot to improve the comic
Had my eyes closed so let my miangation take the feeling of the story very good thank you
I could see how this as the basis of the 50s version of this story. The background music seems to be from the movie too.
This comic was released in 1976.
Wish these comics became movies they would be interesting, now i cant sleep. ive been up for 2 days now. and its snowing where i am
I've been sleeping in 2 and 4 hour increments.
@@slowmutantsBe careful you two. 😢
Enjoyed that. Thanks.
Omar's Music & Tech Thanks for watching again!
In the original short story, the alien space craft was described as having a submarine-shaped hull with no conning tower, not a flying saucer.
I see what they are doing here, the comic's creators are trying to create an adaption that reconciles the original short story with the 1953 movie. Not done too well either.
The Thing looks too much like a man with a silly three-eyed face. Not the horrific inhuman monster described by Cambell.
"Criswell presents...Who Goes There!"
I feel like making a fan film based on this story using blender, spore, roblox and some of the adobe programs.
the girls acting here is great
I enjoyed this, thanks

?
Maybe edit the Thing to look blue as the source material
This comic book was panned on RUclips by a guy with a hat and is friends with Linkara.
Going on and on about how there are no guns in Antarctica. It is a comic book from the 1970's and he is bellyaching?
Jeffrey314159 I think you're referencing the Above the 4th Wall guy. The way I look at it is "everyone's a critic" and some people are gonna be more vocal about it. That guy makes valid points, but I'll bet he's never had to interpret a story with a deadline and X amount of space to fill. I kinda thought this comic was dull, but after putting it all together I really enjoy it! Perspectives can change.
comic book novel got the creatures size terrible wrong he wasnt 400 pounds and over 7 feet, it was About 80ibs and around 4 and a half feet tall in the original book
2 people want to go to sleep until a rescue team finds them
"Yeah...why don't we...stay here for a while..." *Passes drink.*
How about motion comics of ec comics or dc comics house of mystery/secrets or witching hour books of the late 60s 70s or even creepy eerie books as well if the copyright is free.
who goes here
John, I smoked with Paul too.
Why is MacReady here? I'm like 90% sure James Arness wasn't playing MacReady, and then in the remake it was the Norwegians who let it out.
Edit: okay i looked it up, i really thought Matt Dillon was cast as the hero but he was actually the Thing. However, there is no MacReady.
Great work, but could you do me a favor and remove the swing noise? It hurts my ears
What comic book is rhis from? Who published it?
It says in the description. 1976 Starstream magazine.
@@slowmutants Thanks. I found it and I'm going to go read it.
The dialogue is a bit off. The writing has weird word choices.
Victory celebrate?
is there anymore
Emmett D'oliveiro There's a while playlist of them! Volume 1, Climate of Fear, Eternal Vows, Questionable Research, and The Northman Nightmare.
Who are the "kids" in the intro?
My niece and nephew.
