Deus Pater is not equivalent to Hades. He is equivalent to Jupiter/Zeus, the latter being also called Zeus Pater. The term literally means "Sky Father". If you think of the J letter as sounding like an "I" in Jupiter, you`ll see the connection.
But... we're taking about Dis Pater, not Deus/Dies Pater - the latter equates to Jupiter/Zeus, the former to Pluto/Hades. Two different beings. Funnily enough, Wikipedia even has a "not to be confused with..." note in Dis Pater's entry.
@@WillyMuffinUK You are right. I was just listening to the video and got confused due to how I`m am accustomed to the fact that english speakers have a hard time pronouncing syllables with separate sounds.

@@henriquecamboim I'm pretty sure I butchered quite a few names for exactly that. I do try, but it doesn't come naturally to us.
