We are all imperfect. We all need forgiveness of sins that only God can provide. No human can provide eternal forgiveness of sins. Only God can possibly provide.
Jesus lived a life of love, kindness, truth, self-sacrifice, and forgiveness. Humans' imperfection is mostly sourced in selfishness and pride, and that selfishness and pride are fundamentally undermined and defeated in some sense by following Jesus.
Matthew 7:7-8
"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
Luke 6:38
