Good video, I’ve had the extending tray 2 years and use a Preston support arm to make it rock solid rather than the 2 extending legs and use the Matrix bait brolly with it. Like you say only downside is it can’t be locked ‘closed’.
For the money that's a brilliant bit of kit it's 2 trays in one really when it's fully extended its huge but when you slide the 2side plates together you've got a smaller tray but it's still a good size with the box and tray together it looks awesome it looks solid as a rock. Shame were in lockdown again looking forward to seeing it out on test, as always another great informative video many hand ben
I must admit to being rather partial to Matrix gear myself. I'm pretty much without spare money to get hold of the latest and greatest, so I get occasional bits and bob. Never had a pole or box, but I'm building up a nice lot of Matrix stuff, I keep looking around to find what I want at a price I can manage. I've loads of cheap stuff over the years, and have decided to invest in some better quality tackle, that's going to last some time. And so far, it's been matrix that ticks all the boxes.
Have this side tray about 2 years and that was a great buy. This tray is so stiff don't need added legs. Haha I was forgot this tray looks like this I must clean mine.
Hi Ben, Great video again. Dont forget all your matrix legs have a thread off cap with threads in them that allow you to attach rests onto them etc. Mark
Hi Ben. First thing first I wish you All The Best in The New Year 2021. I have xl version of this tray and, as you say it provides more space than it is necessary. Very good workmanship. I'm using it with Daiwa T500 seat box. Will serve you for a long time. Greetings from Poland. Stan
Perfectly fine unless it’s a metre to the bottom of the lake like at tbf with the very small pegs, it’s better to shave a couple of support arms underneath
@@Angling4U I've got a support leg, they're great, I also bought some 25m box section aluminium and now have a leg long enough for those deep margins, I use it to attach a pole roost, have you ever fished TBF? Some pegs are a paving slab with no room for anything but your box with your side tray hanging over the water, I dread drawing one of them as I'm always dropping things in the drink 🙄🙄I did say a couple of support arms but have just noticed the auto correct to shave 🙄🙄🙄
there you go mate matrix gear, love all mine, nice to see more people seeing the light lol

Absolutely lol
Neil can you wait until February 😃
It Will be interesting to see how it copes with mushed up pellets or groundbait getting in between the sliding joints
Its just down to the user I suppose I swill my stuff off regularly to keep things clean.

Great idea that extendable side tray. I bet preston jumps on this. Watch this space. Great review Ben.
