That's right. to me, the song wake me up when september ends is indeed a sad song because it is about his father Billie Joe. But this Whatsername song is even sadder because it’s about the feelings and memories we once had with someone, and we’ve also forgotten who that person is. That’s sad and painful at the same time. Just my opinion, though.

green day is an amazing live band :) like they really make it a SHOW . its not just them playin music like other bands and thats what i love about them.. and even when they get serious and play the songs, they sound amazing like this vid :)
I almost(key word is almost. I don't think I can even cry anymore...) cried when I watched this. It's such a touching song and Billie's so passionate, I always get kind of emotional when I listen to their music, especially when they're performing live.
Why at 3:30, they don't do the "GO, GO, GO, GO" part the first time, but they do it the second time. They always do that while performing Whatsername live, and it kinda bothers me because that's one of the best parts of the song.
