Lol. Thanks Jefferson. My videos kill my own wallet as well. Glad you enjoyed it. The Bellman cut is definitely the most dynamic. Maybe they release a 50th anniversary edition mastered by Bellman as well. Guess we wait and see how they will take our money. Lol
I have the CB copy. It sounds great. I didn’t notice any speaker wobble but I don’t know if I have played it loud yet. I’ll try and remember to look for it next listen.
I always love a shoot out and this was no exception. Looking forward to more..please. I have marked the 2009 CB as one to get. Surprisingly they are very well priced. Thanks for your great videos ! Cheers Steve in Australia
Steve your right. The Bellman cut is amazing. Anyone who doesn’t have this…get it! Very clean, flat vinyl. Full of dynamics. I doubt you will find any better, unless this is done as a One Step. 😁👍👍
I could never find a clean OG press (maybe just unlucky?) so I got the Bellman cut. No complaints, sounds as good as any OG copy of the rest of his catalog I have. All the reissues of his are pretty great.
I own the entire Nautilus Super Discs collection and love them. On my set up, most shine with only a few bad masters. I think most get a bad rap because they listened to the DBX encoded vinyl and unless you have the proper DBX equipment does not sound good.
I have so much to choose from at the HIFI Centre here in Vancouver. I used a Pure Fidelity Harmony TT with a Stratos MC cart, Gryphon Diablo 120 Int amp and Gryphon EOS speakers with Audioquest Firebird speaker cables and interconnects. Plus it’s all in a dedicated listening room specifically designed to maximize the experience.
Thanks Steve. I guess we will be getting a 50th. Im turned off and disappointed by Neil Young and his attempt at censorship of Joe Rogan. Him or Joe Rogan at Spotify. Imagine the hypocrisy of Neil Young shouting down free speech, even though he is Canadian. .
Neil Young isn't shutting down free speech. He's simply asked his OWN music to be taken down. Can't blame him really. In the middle of a pandemic for some asshole to be spreading lies and misinformation that can end up in people dying just to sell a few streams is a pretty shitty thing to do. But hey 'Merica, right?
@@Twin_Hook He tried to strong arm a company to censor. He lost. While I love Neil. this was a chump ass move. I'm not even a Rogan fan, but what a dick move. And you call yourself a hippy. Typical big fake phony authoritarian hippy. Maybe the 4th jab went to your head, like Neil.
What a great time it was when a song like "Heart of Gold" could top the charts. . . . .
Long gone are those days sadly. 😢
Great video Steve,
Southern man was on After the Goldrush👍
Thanks for your kind words. Yes. I meant to reference the song Alabama and had Southern man stuck in my head. 😂
@@stevewestman7774 😂I thought that Steve.
Again keep up the shoot outs doing a great job 👏🏻👏🏻
I have that 2009 album too. Haven't played it recently enough. Thanks for the shootout and the reminder.
Thanks for watching. Dust off your 2009 Bellman and give it a spin.
Great video!! Nice shout out to the ATR-102 tape machine! You’re killing my wallet now that I have to find the Bellman pressing!

Thanks for teaching us about the Harvest album. Good job!
Thanks for watching. Glad u you enjoyed it.
I graduated in 1972 and loved this LP then and still do so today.
Steve, Southern Man was on After the Gold Rush in 1970 not on Harvest 1972.
lol. U are correct. My bad. Thanks for watching.
I just realized I had Southern Man in my head all day and mixed it up with Alabama. Lol.
As I first was viewing it I did also Steve. If I wasn't so familiar with this LP I would have thought the same.
I have the CB copy. It sounds great. I didn’t notice any speaker wobble but I don’t know if I have played it loud yet. I’ll try and remember to look for it next listen.
Thanks for watching. Yes. When it’s cranked you might be able to notice a bit of wobble. Or it’s all in my head lol.

My pleasure. Bellman cut sounds great.
Really liked the video. Great album. I have a clean original that is great. So no need for anything else. Keep on keeping on.
Glad you enjoyed it. 👍

The Bellman cut is the one to own. So dynamic. Glad you enjoyed my review. That was a fun one.
Harvest is 50 years old and pre-dates Skynyrd by a few years. Ronnie was commenting on the top 100 hit years later.

Bellman cut just more dynamic. 👌
Never hear a Nautilus I liked. Love the CB!
Bellman cut really shines.

what equipment do you use to do your comparisons with?

I hear Joe Rogan wants him on the show! :D
Lol. Good one.

Thanks for watching. Crazy times we live on with all that is going. Not sure if or when they will press a 50th. Guess wait and see.

@@mmmbbq wow. you're pretty good and making up things in your head and believing them to be true, huh? Hippy? Fourth jab? Nice imagination.
Interesting take... (lol)
