I'm a college instructor and mine are all open book, open note tests. I even show students how to keep tabs open for the material. And guess what? Half don't even bother and just click through, guessing. That's why they fail. So there's that...

Yes it allows you to get the answers from another source like a study guide or chatgpt without the teacher being able to know if you changed tabs or windows, there will also be a built in answer bot soon so dont worry.

I think if you open a future assugnment in the grades page then the name of the assignment will show up at the top of the screen. If you click that it should open the assignment.

Usally when taking a test on Canvas teachers can see if you switch tabs/windows but might not check it or just dont have it activated, but play it safe and get the Canvas Hack just in case someday they do.

It does not work because it only targets websites with instructure (canvas instructure cm) in their url. A lot of schools instead have "canvas 'school name' cm" which means this ends up not working.

But if you want an advice, only go out pf the exam for less than 5 seconds if you can, because they dont receive any alarm if its less than that

Nope the teacher will not be able to know if you do and no, canvas can not detect if you open an extension it if you have this extension installed.
Does this extension also work for the Digiexam(not the Quiz)?
It breaks the log negative flag eg. "✖️ Stopped viewing the Canvas Test" so it means that canvas can't detect tab changing
