Memory is such an interesting and varied experience. When I was a kid I had close to perfect recall and could usually say what the person was wearing and where the comment took place. When I was hospitalized for four months I had to learn to walk again, learn to read and do math, etc. I lost years of my life in that brain damage. To this day I have to work really hard to remember things to do with daily life.
