I think a Painkiller series would be kinda lit. After watching The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, it’d be nice to see a series like this one. Calloway does a good job of balancing the cold, efficient, ruthless, killing machine which is Painkiller, and the calm, silently tortured, remorseful, and well-intentioned Khalil.
It's absolutely insane that the studio has abandoned the Painkiller show. That episode on the last season of Black Lightning was FANTASTIC, probably my favourite episode of the whole last season. Hopefully Netflix or HBOMax pick up the Painkiller show and give it the respect it deserves.

This show just needs to avoid Black Lightning's mistakes. 1. Lack of focus(focus on one character and story or as few as possible) 2. Maybe minimize the social commentary(that could probably fall in subcategory of number 1 maybe) 3. Bad CG(that owl and those city shots last night were terrible) 4. Corny dialogue that can be overly expository(unrealistic dialogue. Talking for the sake of talking and characters literally telling the audience what the plot points are at times) 5. And last but certainly not least, don't RECAST CHARACTERS (Jennifer) Hopefully they'll get a good budget to avoid some of the production stuff like the CG or whatever and the costumes. They need better costumes than that Ishmael ninja guy from a few weeks ago.
What a lead should be. People oughta take notes. You wanna cast the model or the pretty boy at least make sure he can act. And he can. This show got potential if it goes to series. Maybe. Salim Akil tho. I worry about what type of obstacles and detriments it'll face under him as showrunner because honestly Black Lightning seen better days and looking at the totality overall of the show I'd say it's been hit and miss. Maybe more miss than hit. Season 1 had almost nothing wrong with it. Season 2 was amazing in the middle but took a huge dive in the end and season 3 was just bad. Season 4 started off real strong but the last 2 episodes (not counting the Painkiller pilot episode) were tough. They need a showrunner that loves comics. Probably the best thing would be for Akil to executive produce and let someone else run the show. Someone that loves comics.
