Thank you for the review! I just received mine and was horrified when there was next to no instructions on the thing. I did manage to figure out how to get the radio stations where I live on it but that was it. I do wish I know how long it takes to charge though. All in all I absolutely love my tiny radio! Thank you so much for this vid! it was a massive help!
A general guide to charge times. A standard computer/laptop USB jack is 5 volts @ 500 mAh. The standard guideline is to divide capacity mAh by the charger output mAh to determine time it takes to charge. This radio has an internal lithium polymer battery which holds 600 mAh capacity. When plugged into a standard computer USB port the charge time will be an hour and ten minutes roughly. The price of this thing on eBay versus Amazon it is cheaper to simply buy a few. I got mine for $6US. The newer computers or ones with a specific high capacity charger output can output as much as 1000 mAh so adjust your time accordingly. Also there are many variations of this device even though they are all labelled TD-V26. Mine flashes the full rainbow spectrum of colours (red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet) when playing music, but only red-green-blue when charging. Yours seem to only flash red/blue. But basically they are all the same thing because they all accept the same buttons and sequences to control it.
Thanks for your guide. Please will you tell me how can I know does this player charged or no, I can't understand by indication on the display. Shall I turn it off during charging? And how many hours it takes during charging? Thanks
Good review thanks. If anyone is wanting to check, repair/replace the battery. First remove screws from the bottom with a small philips ( + )screw driver. Then use a plastic ruler edge to remove the face plate just little by little until it snaps out a bit them from the USB side use ruler to remove it and take it out, slowly and gently cause there are wires for Antenna(red), Battery (red+white) and Speaker(red+black) your colors might vary I do not know! Visual check the battery and wires. If the battery is bulged/fattened then it is bad. If you have a voltmeter/DMM measure the battery and check voltage. Sometimes the battery is bad even if voltage is ok. The battery size (Width x Length x Height) is around 30mm x 37mm x 5mm The battery got red (+) and white (-) wires and is probably of Lipo type. I think its charge is around 200~300 mAH, and that is why it does not last long. Find a battery of same size but better mAH (can have more charge) or use maybe 200~300 mAH batteries in parallel. www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=3.7v+lipo+240 There is a white connector on the battery just cut the wires below it and solder the wires on the board or if you do not want to solder, use the wires of the older/bad batteries and separately connect them with the new ones. Red with red and White with black. and use quality/good electrical tape to cover the wires. If you could not find a battery then get an Android/Samsung...etc. Smart Phone Battery but it has to be of smaller size and use it. These have 3 to 4 connects, so just use the + and - terminals. If it is bigger then see how to extract the inner battery out of that outer case, search for it to learn how. Watch what this guy is doing, you do not have to understand the language, to get an idea on how to extract the inner battery ruclips.net/video/WGvOJz54WRU/видео.htmlm42s Good luck
hello i have a newer model the TT-028. you can increase the reception a lot by getting some wire about 6 to 8 feet long and solder a alligator clip to it on one end of wire then hang the wire up and clip the other end of wire to your short antenna coming out if the radio. there you go an awesome antenna which will pick up 5 to 10x more radio stations. hope this helps
Thanks for the thoughtful review. I bought one a while ago. What I like most about it is the excellent build quality. I left mine in the car in the sun on a really hot Aussie Summer day and all the plastic on the front of it melted but it still works fine. What I most dislike aside from the flashing lights is the lack of a shuffle function.
I finished up buying one of these players, and I can only say it's a great little unit. On the display, on the right-hand side, there are two battery-shaped icons. The top one stays steady while enough power remains when playing music or files on a USB or TF card, then the one on the bottom flashes (presumably denoting the unit needs recharging). So, what I did was connect a power bank and then recommenced playing the files for three hours or so. The unit then gets charged at the same time as I enjoy the music or audiobook files. BTW, this one DOES have the "resume" capability. I guess they're all the same?
I have read nearly every post....some good reviews, some not so good. Lots of great ideas! But to the maker of the video......thank you so much for your in-depth review and knowledge of how to work this little speaker. Mine is charging as I type this. Thank You
I notice that the annoying flashing light on the bottom comes in handy walking down streets at night or jogging if you prefer while listening, it's purpose must be safety for the walker from passing cars to spot you and for that I like it
I've got two of them and the batteries only last 3 to 4 hours, the little round one remembers what you played last and starts there, this one always starts at the beginning whatever the light is for it does shine brighter on a very dark street with no lights
I have two of them won't hold a charge long I got a 5v iPhone type chargeable unit and they will run a good while plugged up to that, this one starts over at the beginning each time you turn it on, the round one remembers where you were and starts where you left off, these things sound very good if they didn't I'd trash them but they have a good sound
I brought mine from wish.com I ordered it in December and it took so long getting here, they actually refunded me my money, and told me I could keep the product if it arrived, as you can guess I'm a happy bunny! I only got one cable with mine, the charger, but I'm still happy with the product, only thing is my mode button is the one that searches for the stations and the one next to it is the one that stops the search, all the other two buttons do is raise or lower the volume. I'm going to get a micro SD card and see if it works in mine.
My one (same model) has a red picture of a 3/4 filled battery on the RHS of the display panel which I assume will change to the full battery picture above it that I can see the shadow of when it is charged.
Where I live you can get it for approximately $6. lol. I was surprised at how punchy it sounds despite its size. It's almost puny. This is perfect for bathrooms, kitchens and generally places where your phone or tablet's speaker just doesn't cut it. Sounds 10x better than my iPhone's speakers.
The charging time for this thing is optional. I asked my seller. The seller replied that there are no limitations. I suggest one hour and thirty minutes for last quite long.
Hi Torrie. I'm not sure, i don't have this model. It may only respond with the TT-028 and 29 models. You might want to try it again, only needs to be about 2 seconds,. :) Good Luck
Hello, Thanks for review. I bought same one, and I am totally disappointed about functionality. First, device can't remember last volume setting, so if I turn radio on early in the morning I wake up all of my family. Bad ! However, greatest disappointment is pointless stations scan. If I turn of device, after radio scans for station everything is lost. Totally stupid. Anyway, sound quality and FM signal reception is great.
Hello, I have such a speaker on the cottage. The thing is, I previously plugged a flash drive into it and the radio played too. I plugged headphones into the headphone input and it only played the headphones, but not the speaker. Some time ago I mixed up the holes - I put the headphones in in. When I realized - I put in correctly, but since then in the headphones it plays, but unfortunately in the speaker too. Something must have broken. Does anyone know how to fix it?
So here's a silly story. I bought mine just hours ago and after hours of playing music the battery died.. so it's time for charging and I couldn't find the usb cable so I searched for all my cables and nothing fits.. and then I looked at the box and the damn usb cable is inside that LITTLE BOX!💁
Found one of these in the trash yesterday... Fully working but the owner (or previous user) apparently broke the antenna at the housing. So like I have to buy a spare one online somewhere... 🤔😇🤗😕😒😟
Just got one today and was searching for reviews on it and landed here. Just want to say I do not face the memory loss for volume or radio stations when I switch it off and on. Maybe because it is a later model. Still have those lights though.
read above in several posts on this device. i am in the process to see how to deactivate the lights. this is the major cause of the battery life being so short. when i figure it out i will post fix here.
@@randyz7906 I just unscrewed the plastic foot. And I demolished the light with a small hook. I couldn't see if I destroyed the light, or seperated the wire. But it works just fine, without the flashing lights. 👍🏽
I have a problem with this, since no matter how hard I try, I cant seem to get any of my pen drives to work with it. I formatted 'em with fat32 and put in mp3 files in all ways thinkable. any help?
Does this unit have a "resume" capability, meaning it will automatically start again from where you stopped it -- for example, when reading MP3 files in an audiobook which have been loaded on to a memory card/USB?
To turn off that annoying flashing light hold down the Menu or Mode button till the light goes off. Mine dosnt play if I unplug it from the charge/computer. the sound sometimes fades in and out, I think it is a dud and want to return it!
please help me.at first i put the pendrive then its work.after a few minute i took out the pendrive.then i put it back its does not work like the first. Its just showing PC and back to fm and show PC again.PLEASE HELP ME!!
You say overnight to charge it others say 4 hours, a couple of people said the battery will burn up if charging it over 4 hours I'm not sure they don't come with instructions
I've heard there's several types/versions of this specific radio model, some being cheaper than others in terms of quality. I've plugged it into a USB wall charger overnight several times without the battery burning up, at least for me. But if you're really cautious, 4 hours should be enough to charge the battery. Most electronics nowadays should have overcharge protection, but i'm not so sure about these kind of super-cheap stuff from China.. I guess I was lucky D:
How do you charge it? I left it switched off and plugged into the wall all night, and it works great until I unplug it, it just dies. Even switched on and plugged into the wall, flashing its lights everywhere, still just dies as soon as I unplug it
Hello! On my little one it says that I can set up an alarm. It also says "external high-sensitive MIC works with sound storage chip, which restores your voice perfectly." Any idea how to access these features? I tried holding all the buttons, but nothing changes. Also, I don't know if it's supposed to, but my computer doesn't see it as a device when I connect it through the cable. Any suggestions? Thank you!
this is a great cheap little portable radio / mp3 player. for the radio, it will auto scan for the available channels, do remember to extend the antenna. the microsd mp3 will auto play from the last song played, good function. the flashing lights are very annoying so I just black tape the bottom part, lights covered and issue solved.
Avoid touching the 2nd button to the left, that scans and stores FM stations into memory and I've never figured out how to use it properly. Power off the radio and turn it back on and the memory should be wiped. Now you can use the two buttons on the right to select a station.
Sanjeev Sharma Based on the comments, i'm assuming there are several different kinds of these things yet they all have the same model number and work differently. For me, my radio's light doesn't turn off when I hold the menu button but I have a friend who has a blue one but holding down the menu turned off the light but it only had about 4 hours of battery life! I guess not all TD-V26's are made the same...
well first off read earlier posts on how to increase radio reception. do this easy fix first see how that works. as far as tuning in exact radio stations you can not the way this radio is made. this radio has a PLL chip in it which means phase lock loop. this means when button is pushed to change station it scans to next strongest station. so that is about it. now do the antenna fix i mentioned above in another post it will allow your radio to pick up more stations therefore you would have a better chance in getting a station you want. hope this helps. randy
If i'm understanding your comment correctly there really isn't a way to determine when it's done charging. I use a USB wall adapter to charge it and whenever something is charging the adapter gets warm to the touch and cools down when that something is done charging. That's how I was able to guesstimate a 2-3 hour charge time.
just look in upper right side of the display while radio is on and it will show battery status with a picture of the battery with lines in it. it will charge while playing radio. as far as the power supply goes make sure it takes a usb connector and that it puts out 5 volts dc and make sure it is under 1 amp. if you use the wrong power supply - the supply will get warm to very hot. this is very hard on supply and can cause internal damage to the radio. so make sure no more than 5 volts dc and under 1 amp output or say goodbye to radio and supply. hope this helps.
randy z Just wanted to step in here to say that the TD-V26 model that is featured in the video doesn't have a battery display at all. You're referring to your model which is slightly different so please keep this in mind.
how much lasts the battery at low volume? Does it save your custom volume once you turn it later on? Can you switch the battery once gets obsolete? Would appreciate some answer, thanks!
Man you just do not wanna know, battery is total trash, honestly I forgot but it was short like a coupla hours to a coupla minutes. But if you change the battery to ORIGINAL Li-ion of smaller size but higher charge (1000~+3500mAh) then it should last long. Dunno what size of Li-ion battery fits inside it, I am researching that. But to be honest for the price, it is really good and the FM audio quality is great, mono though, just a single speaker. Also the size is great, it is just a 5cm/2inch cube. And looks pretty. I say go for it, try it. Then once I finish research I will tell you on how to change the battery to a better one or enhance it maybe by doubling(putting 2) same as the original one which is probably a lipo of 200~300mAh if not even less.
I too have found that light to be very annoying. When I play music it starts to pulse to the beat like it has some loose connection or something. It is pretty cool though. I feel like getting up and dancing like a prince!
Dude mine won't let me change the stations. It will only scan. But I can't get it to stay in the station that I want. Any clue what I'm doing or not doing?
I would like this for a night time radio, can you tell me if it can play all night while on charge. Sounds like a dumb question but I've had products that don't work while charging.
I don't even know anymore. As far as i'm concerned my radio does, but I've heard others have shorter battery lives or they can't charge it while it's on.
well i bought a cheap usb charger from our local dollar store for 3 dollars. make sure the supply does 5v then you are OK. i download relaxation music that lasts between 6 to 12 hours and save it to mp3 format then save it for your radio.. being plugged in it will play until you shut it off. if you run it on just battery then pending what model you have will play a min. of 1 hour to a total of 9 hrs. but like i said pending on your model on how long it plays on battery. now this is going by the model i have which is TT-028 this model has a clear back half of the device so you can see inside the device. they put in a few led lights that flash multiple colors while it is turned on. i find this suck as it is bright and if you want to go to sleep you have to cover the device so you will not see it blink all night. i am going to look at it closer to see if i can disable this flashing light. this is what uses up most of the battery. disable lite then it will operate much longer on the battery. hope this helps you. oh read above i gave a tip to increase your radio reception.
ok i just recently bought my radio and yours looked like mine. but looking at the front of mine it is a different model mine is TT-028 i would of thought the radios would look different between models. well if anyone would know how to set the clock please let me know.
i just got a new speaker/radio/mp3 player and it is a Music Angel SD-102 but the TT-028 is much better because the tt-028 has better radio reception. the sd-102 has no antenna like the T-028 does. does anyone know how to get better radio reception by adding or making an antenna for the sd=102?
I see there is version of this "player" that hasn't got an FM antenna. All the FM radios I've seen without antennas use the headphone/line out wiring to do the job. This usually cuts out the speaker if it has one, it's sometimes possible to push the plug in just enough to do one and not the other, I've wound cotton around the plug base to stop it at the right spot ;-)
I just got mine as well. Mine will scan but always goes to PO1 or PO2, and will skip right over the stations that have a good solid signal. I am stuck listening to either elevator or country music : ( . I tried to changes the channels from the forward button on the far right end of the buttons, it is unresponsive and sends me back to PO1. That light is driving me crazy as well. I pushed the "mode" button and held it. The blinking light won't shut off. It does have pretty good sound for such a small radio.
From playing around with it, there is no way to preset the stations - When you hit the play button, it scans for the stations it's able to pick up but that's it.
I got one a while back, and it does autoscan and saves all the channels it finds. Now it got a dead battery which I am fixing, I forgot how to do it, I think you press and hold down the mode button or the one next to it. Maybe they updated the firmware on latter batches.
Hi everyone !! :) Which device I connect the other end of the mini USB cable to recharge the mini speaker? How can I charge / plug the mini speaker? Thanks so much
I bought one of these (or a close clone) from Bangood, when the battery stopped taking a charge after a few weeks I opened it up to investigate. I found, under a bit of blue plastic and masking tape, an old USED cellphone battery that was alarmingly puffed. This maybe the answer to a few of the comments I've read here. I soldered in a cheap 800mAh lipo and it seems to work OK. I snipped the flashing LED while I was at it, now I find out from here that a long press on the mode button turns it off! Duh...
Hi, I have a brand new V26 and battery lasts only 20 minutes. I tried to open the radio but after removing the plastic bottom I didn't find a way to open it without damaging the case so I used step-up + one 18650 as a portable power supply: www.dropbox.com/sh/oh6l7dz4o5pv0rg/AAA_Ci6RSSA5SBeegRHJsEwEa How did you open the radio?
+ChupoCro I put a thin blade between the metal case and the chromed plastic speaker that is the back of the unit, then levered it loose there is nothing holding it in, it's just a press fit. The LiPo I replaced the battery with is for a small toy quadcopter or something similar, it has a basic protection circuit as did the used phone battery. This is to stop over charging/discharging.
I charge this for one hour and it gives me one hour of play with the mp3. as for the flashing light, i opened the box and removed it, will see if that allows longer playback time.
Mine will play them up to about an hour long over that they won't play, I like the little round player it always starts over where you left off, this one always starts at the beginning
i have a TT-028 and i can play 8 to 12 hours all in one mp3 file. it is relaxation music. i will not play that long on battery so i plug a usb power supply in it that way it will play until the files are done or not. it will also play multiple mp3's 8 to 12 hours long as well as long as you have it plugged into a power source.
I don't know if you've found the answer yet, but you need a lead with a 3.5mm jack plug on both ends. One end in the iPad, or whatever, the other in the A [auxiliary] IN socket.
People actually dont realise this. But the flashing lights are leds. Leds use so little amount of battery power that you wouldnt believe it. So dont not buy it because of a silly reason
How do you play music from the SD card? I have tried several times, but the device won't read from the card at all. Do I need to create a special folder? I cannot find any information that would help me.
Yanick Rochon I've got two of them and the only sd card I can get them to recognise is a Samsung evo 32 gb. It doesn't seem to accept any other types I have SanDisk, Phillips etc
Try a class 10 uSD card or better(U1, U3...etc. see wiki) with different files systems like Fat12, FAT16, FAT32, NTFS...etc. Mine works ok, I think I used FAT32 but it was a class 10 The class is the number showing inside a circle on the uSD, there are the classes (2) (4) (6) (10) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secure_Digital#Speed_class_rating
Maybe the wires need resoldering. Open it up and see. Unscrew the bottom 3 screws (+) with a screwdriver. then with a plastic ruler try to remove the face plate a little from each side then from the USB side remove the face plate. If you can not solder just join the wires with some other wire like a phone wire(of the wall not the external thin one) and use any quality tape scotch or electrical so it stays in place. I mean just use the phone wire, not connect to phone line or phone. Or you can use any other kinda wire. www.bdc.co.uk/image/cache/data/Cables/2-pair-telephone-cable-11-800x500.gif Speaker wires are red and black battery wires are red and white antenna wire is red You might need to remove the battery to check the speaker wire, it is held in by a double-sided tape. so remove gently by any tool, maybe use a metal hanger cut and bend to form a pulling tool like the letter J. Make sure the lower tip of the J tool is not sharp to achieve that first bend the hanger metal into a U like shape then do a J with that. Work Gently with everything since it is very delicate, the wires and other stuff. If you wanna solder, watch soldering videos on youtube, instructables or other sites, it ain't a biggie. You might find a cheap soldering iron stick on ebay or anywhere else. Good luck
I didn't cover the FM presets because they wouldn't work very well for me. It doesn't even remember the presets when you power it off. I rushed this video a bit so I'll admit it was all over the place.
***** Ok fair enough - the FM presets really confused me but after after some time of playing around with them I finally sussed them out. If you want to know how they work send me your email address & I'll be happy to send the details to you
quadra privat I really wouldn't know how to help you... sorry! I have heard others with a similar model are having the same issue. Your best bet would be to try to search for your answer.
little tip: imagine you want a statinoa that is far e.g.107.7 and the auto csan cannnot reach becausse memorize the first 50 , you have to put the antenna down and move in no signal area of your home wait until it memorize less statione and approaching to your favourite put aantenna up again and move in area with signal
if it is totally dead it will fully charge in under 4 hours. if you bought a rapid charger for it then it will fully charge in less than one hour. make sure when you buy a usb charger that it does a max of 5 volts output and between 500ma to under 1 amp output. if you use anything higher it will cause the supply to over heat and can cause major damage to the radio. hope this helps.
My gram got this from my aunt. Had no cables, luckily I own 4 of the charger cables. I thought I had an aux cord but I can't find the shit. So I'm gonnna have to try and use my flash drive. Haven't yet though
Hi i just bought one. works great. i dont know how long to charge it for though. i charge it on the wall (hole thing), but because it doesnt say how long to charge it. so it you know and reply, that would be amazing :D ill subcribe too
Try a class 10 uSD card or better(U1, U3...etc. see wiki) with different files systems like Fat12, FAT16, FAT32, NTFS...etc. Mine works ok, I think I used FAT32 but it was a class 10 Also try smaller sizes
thanks man just got the newest model the TT-028 and it did not give you this in the manual that came with it. i was going to tear it apart to disable lights and now i do mot have to. may i asked where you got this info?
When you use the charging wire does it run? Try another charging USB cable cause it could be a bad bundled cable. If it runs then you need to open it up and check the lipo battery, it got red and white wires. Maybe you need to replace it if it were damaged or bad. Also use another charging USB cable cause it could be the bundled cable. First look at it, check it, if it is bulged/fat then it could be bad and needs replacement. And if not then measure it with a voltmeter/DMM to check voltage. Check wires, red and white next to each other. Maybe caused by bad packaging issues it caused the wires to snap out of the battery or board.
Thank you for the review! I just received mine and was horrified when there was next to no instructions on the thing. hello i have a newer model the TT-028. you can increase the reception a lot by getting some wire about 6 to 8 feet long and solder a alligator clip to it on one end of wire then hang the wire up and clip the other end of wire to your short antenna coming out if the radio. there you go an awesome antenna which will pick up 5 to 10x more radio stations. hope this helps

Marieah Yes bt?
This is still being sold on AliExpress in 2024 for less than 5.00€.

This is one hell of a radio for $6.70. I ordered one in every color! This radio makes work go by fast!
LOL i ordered one in each color too and a few extra in black so i can tear apart to see what mods i can make with it to improve on it.
Hahaha! Very nice! If you don't mind, update me if you were able to mod it. I bought 13 of these abs gave 7 away as gifts - Kept the remaining 6.
randy z will let you know what i find out
soulkiss31 Could i have one for free as a gift. I would love to review it on my youtube channel
God almighty, mate! You can afford a computer to see these reviews, yet you're begging for a freebie?
I notice that the annoying flashing light on the bottom comes in handy walking down streets at night or jogging if you prefer while listening, it's purpose must be safety for the walker from passing cars to spot you and for that I like it
i'm pretty sure it's real use is that it has absolutely no use.
just fancy battery waste.
You can't beat this for the price. Awesome little radio.
I got nothing against it (for the price that is; worth) but the battery is trash. But there might be a work around, I am researching that.
Hello,
Thanks for review.
Duh ...

Twenty øne 1975 Martinez you save my day.
same thing happen to me lol
Haha
Do you know how to set time and other stuff? (or if ther is other stuff) I've been cracking my head on it. Thanks.
Mine does not charge and I'm doing all the right procedures. What can I do about it? Thanks!
Yeah I've just concluded there's probably quite a few different models of the same model number... Guess mines is just different :/
read above in several posts on this device. i am in the process to see how to deactivate the lights. this is the major cause of the battery life being so short. when i figure it out i will post fix here.
@@randyz7906 I just unscrewed the plastic foot. And I demolished the light with a small hook. I couldn't see if I destroyed the light, or seperated the wire. But it works just fine, without the flashing lights. 👍🏽
Thank you so much for this video. I couldn't figure out how to play music in my phone.
I have a problem with this, since no matter how hard I try, I cant seem to get any of my pen drives to work with it. I formatted 'em with fat32 and put in mp3 files in all ways thinkable. any help?
That's exactly how I put music on mine and it works fine. How big are your flash drives?
***** 2 are 4gb and one is 64gb.
+Ryanfilmproductions2 They're Sanddisk Cruzer Blades (all 3 of them) if that helps.
Beardman555 Sorry, I really wouldn't know what else could be the issue.. maybe a faulty unit?
***** maybe, but all the other options work fine. and it was tested on the store with a pendrive and it worked. I'm not sure of what i'm doing wrong.
Does it play from a flash drive in random order, alphabetical or numerical?
That is NOT al LCD display.
It's a simple led display.
please help me.at first i put the pendrive then its work.after a few minute i took out the pendrive.then i put it back its does not work like the first. Its just showing PC and back to fm and show PC again.PLEASE HELP ME!!
I recently got my speaker for Christmas model TD-V26 and I want to know how long should I leave it to charge? p.s my speaker is the same as yours
The battery is around 200~300 mAh if not even less, so supposing it is charging at 100mAh (it could even be more) I think around 3 hours or less.
***** You are right about super cheap, the return one I got has a headphone plug hole but no headphone plug, at least the speaker works
It also says "external high-sensitive MIC works with sound storage chip, which restores your voice perfectly."
Any idea how to access these features? I tried holding all the buttons, but nothing changes. Also, I don't know if it's supposed to, but my computer doesn't see it as a device when I connect it through the cable. Any suggestions?
Thank you!
Mini usb is only for charging
this is a great cheap little portable radio / mp3 player. for the radio, it will auto scan for the available channels, do remember to extend the antenna. the microsd mp3 will auto play from the last song played, good function. the flashing lights are very annoying so I just black tape the bottom part, lights covered and issue solved.
radio stations seem to scan but can't get any volume from did gadget?? any suggestions?
Long press next - prev buttons for volume
Thanks for the detailed review ,please tell me one more time how to get the fm station i want, mine is playing only what ever in the memory, thanks.
Avoid touching the 2nd button to the left, that scans and stores FM stations into memory and I've never figured out how to use it properly. Power off the radio and turn it back on and the memory should be wiped. Now you can use the two buttons on the right to select a station.
Thankyou well explained, one more thing some ppl say keep holding the menu button to turned the light off ,i tried but does't work no effect on light.
Thankyou.
well first off read earlier posts on how to increase radio reception. do this easy fix first see how that works. as far as tuning in exact radio stations you can not the way this radio is made. this radio has a PLL chip in it which means phase lock loop. this means when button is pushed to change station it scans to next strongest station. so that is about it. now do the antenna fix i mentioned above in another post it will allow your radio to pick up more stations therefore you would have a better chance in getting a station you want. hope this helps. randy
this is a great player for the money, but how in the heck do you thread the haylard?
so how to know when its fully charge?
is there any way to find out, battery need to be charged more or its fully charged when we plug in for charging, thanks.
Thankyou.
just look in upper right side of the display while radio is on and it will show battery status with a picture of the battery with lines in it. it will charge while playing radio. as far as the power supply goes make sure it takes a usb connector and that it puts out 5 volts dc and make sure it is under 1 amp. if you use the wrong power supply - the supply will get warm to very hot. this is very hard on supply and can cause internal damage to the radio. so make sure no more than 5 volts dc and under 1 amp output or say goodbye to radio and supply. hope this helps.
Thanks Randy
randy z Just wanted to step in here to say that the TD-V26 model that is featured in the video doesn't have a battery display at all.
Then once I finish research I will tell you on how to change the battery to a better one or enhance it maybe by doubling(putting 2) same as the original one which is probably a lipo of 200~300mAh if not even less.
how can i turn off the flashing light???
hi how long would it last if sound on nearly full allso how loud is it or does it go is it 5 watts
can u explain how the mp3 works i plug it into speaker nothing happens
when i stick my flash drive in, the cube says "line" but doesn´t play the music..
any idea?
Do you have a supported music file format in the flash drive?
problem solved: i used an old 128mb stick, just for trying. later i used a newer 8gb stick and it worked. but thanks for the help!
I can’t stop the light flashing even when radio is turned off, any ideas how to turn it off and stop it draining the battery?
me too
Does it have to be on or off when charging? Thanks!
Why write SCH or SCX or SCK ? this is error or not? Please help! Thanks! :)
***** Ahhh, their not much money so I might take a chance and get one anyway. Thanks anyway.
well i bought a cheap usb charger from our local dollar store for 3 dollars. make sure the supply does 5v then you are OK. i download relaxation music that lasts between 6 to 12 hours and save it to mp3 format then save it for your radio.. being plugged in it will play until you shut it off. if you run it on just battery then pending what model you have will play a min. of 1 hour to a total of 9 hrs. but like i said pending on your model on how long it plays on battery. now this is going by the model i have which is TT-028 this model has a clear back half of the device so you can see inside the device. they put in a few led lights that flash multiple colors while it is turned on. i find this suck as it is bright and if you want to go to sleep you have to cover the device so you will not see it blink all night. i am going to look at it closer to see if i can disable this flashing light. this is what uses up most of the battery. disable lite then it will operate much longer on the battery. hope this helps you. oh read above i gave a tip to increase your radio reception.
Wow! so much detailed review, thank you for all your information!! ...
I have that product but i cant change stations that way, it only change to preset stations and not an especific station.
I have the same issue, anyone knows how to change it? Also, mine wont leave FM mode.
there is one think i could not do and that is setting the clock can you do a video on that?
There isn't a clock on the model I am reviewing (TD-V26).
ok i just recently bought my radio and yours looked like mine. but looking at the front of mine it is a different model mine is TT-028 i would of thought the radios would look different between models. well if anyone would know how to set the clock please let me know.
i just got a new speaker/radio/mp3 player and it is a Music Angel SD-102 but the TT-028 is much better because the tt-028 has better radio reception. the sd-102 has no antenna like the T-028 does. does anyone know how to get better radio reception by adding or making an antenna for the sd=102?
I see there is version of this "player" that hasn't got an FM antenna. All the FM radios I've seen without antennas use the headphone/line out wiring to do the job. This usually cuts out the speaker if it has one, it's sometimes possible to push the plug in just enough to do one and not the other, I've wound cotton around the plug base to stop it at the right spot ;-)
@@randyz7906 would have* thought
Thankyou! BTW, that'd be LED not LCD display JOOI.
Every time I press to switch the station it say PO1 then goes to PO2. No music comes out just static noice. Someone help!
Little question, does it have bluetooth?
no bluetooth
No bluetooth?
Is this good radio?is sound is good.Tell me the battery life.
Hi, is it possible to preset favorite radio stations?
From playing around with it, there is no way to preset the stations - When you hit the play button, it scans for the stations it's able to pick up but that's it.
I got one a while back, and it does autoscan and saves all the channels it finds.
Now it got a dead battery which I am fixing, I forgot how to do it, I think you press and hold down the mode button or the one next to it. Maybe they updated the firmware on latter batches.
Is there any mini speakers in keigley
Hi everyone !! :) Which device I connect the other end of the mini USB cable to recharge the mini speaker?
How can I charge / plug the mini speaker? Thanks so much
+Trucos de Belleza Every single phone charger in the universe, maybe?
@@Furyrulez wrong. try again
Sometimes it varies what kind of speaker they use..
Duh...
Maybe I should have mentioned that I removed the old dead battery before I put in the replacement lipo. That puffed one was a bit of a worry!
Thank you for the info! I'll try that too one of these days.
Does anyone knows will it start Autoplay songs from Microsd card when I turn on power?
I charge this for one hour and it gives me one hour of play with the mp3. as for the flashing light, i opened the box and removed it, will see if that allows longer playback time.
is there a random function?
How long does it take to charge?-John in Texas
Say if you have an mp3 file that is over 30 minutes, will it play that?
I've never tried, but I have played about 8 hours worth of music using a flash drive on this radio and it worked great!
Thanks, I have lessons on MP3 and most of them are over 40 minutes
i get mp3 files that are between 8 to 12 hours long. relaxation music that i play at bed time and it even plays the 12 hour one fine.
Very useful device ....have a lot of fun using it :)
ho to reset the radio preset and turn on the manual scan?
I just turn mine off and the presets go away the next time I switch it on.
mine not. it remembers
I love this tiny radio but is a bear bug regarding the volume.
Could you tell me how to use it as a speaker for my ipad
I don't know if you've found the answer yet, but you need a lead with a 3.5mm jack plug on both ends. One end in the iPad, or whatever, the other in the A [auxiliary] IN socket.
Hi worked out a week after I posted that but thanks anyway

Maybe the wires need resoldering. Open it up and see. Unscrew the bottom 3 screws (+) with a screwdriver. then with a plastic ruler try to remove the face plate a little from each side then from the USB side remove the face plate. If you can not solder just join the wires with some other wire like a phone wire(of the wall not the external thin one) and use any quality tape scotch or electrical so it stays in place. I mean just use the phone wire, not connect to phone line or phone. Or you can use any other kinda wire.
www.bdc.co.uk/image/cache/data/Cables/2-pair-telephone-cable-11-800x500.gif
Speaker wires are red and black
battery wires are red and white
antenna wire is red
You might need to remove the battery to check the speaker wire, it is held in by a double-sided tape. so remove gently by any tool, maybe use a metal hanger cut and bend to form a pulling tool like the letter J.
Good luck
does it have clock and alarm?
Mohammada Aprilianto No
Mate, your video was all over the place!! Also you didn't cover the FM presets??
I didn't cover the FM presets because they wouldn't work very well for me. It doesn't even remember the presets when you power it off. I rushed this video a bit so I'll admit it was all over the place.

how many hours it takes to charge the battery?
3-4 hours at the most.
if it is totally dead it will fully charge in under 4 hours. if you bought a rapid charger for it then it will fully charge in less than one hour. make sure when you buy a usb charger that it does a max of 5 volts output and between 500ma to under 1 amp output. if you use anything higher it will cause the supply to over heat and can cause major damage to the radio. hope this helps.

Man thanks a lot, that is a great tip.
I was thinking about taping it with black tape or making a switch for it!
Just bought but not charging; it is not turned on.
