I don't know his name and I'm just gonna assume that he's playing rhythm, but I wish the long haired dudes guitar was a bit louder cause it feels like the other dude is the star of the show. Still, doe I LOVE THIS FUCKING SONG AND THE ALBUM IT'S ON AND THIS LIVE PERFORMANCE AND THIS DVD AND THIS BAND THEY ARE MY FAVORITE BAND EVAAAAAWWR!!!!!
I saw Envy about three times in my life... Three fucking kicks in my face, I'm in love with their sound, and I'm just sad about Tetsua Fukagawa's actual voice...he lost a big piece of his musical signature... But Kongfuzi Booking confirmed me that a new album for 2010 ! This is my best musical news this year...
@FrobblOo Yeah I was disappointed too when I played it for the first time...But I found that their sound texture, the way to make it "being epic" has disappeared more than their ideas. "A Hint and the Incapacity", "Last Hours Of Eternity" etc.are songs that contain the "envy touch'", these contrasts between calm and fury. But levels are just too close between clean and saturate sounds. And even their guitar sound has changed (they're not using only telecasters anymore)it's a manufacturing mistake
@LAdumpsterbaby I mean that his voice has changed now...she's less powerfull...as time goes by i think he gets older...the two last shows that I saw, he wasn't able to scream so loud...i was a little bit disappointed...but maybe that it's getting back...anyway, I hope so ! They come back in France this autumn...! héhéhé.
@FrobblOo Yeah...the last time i saw envy live (Paris @ Glaz'art, his voice was really bad...I can't scream anymore...now he plays with the gain of his mic, but doesn't really screamo as he could do it 5 or 6 years before...this is life...but on "Recitation" (I knew there was a new album coming up!) he's good...!!! They're coming back in Europe on Summer 2011 ! It will be my 4st time !
@acolyte27 how did he lost a big piece of his musical signature? i dont get it what you mean. are you serious with the new album? that would be so awesome! but i also heard no new releases in the next time. :/
@acolyte27 I see.... you cant scream forever I guess. I just hope I get the chance to see them live before they stop touring. Truly amazing band. Take some videos when you see them!
Missed them everytime after my third time... Was sad when Tetsuya went away, was happy when he came back. But the last songs don't make me really happy, I miss the time they were really into anger/despair. But I'm glad they still do music. (Missing Dairoku Seiki tho)
@acolyte27 tbh I'm pretty disappointed with recitation. :/ its lacking of the typical "massive, epic" envy songs like scene or thousand scars. but looking forward to the next album.
They play this song a few different ways and this particular way is my favorite..
@ZeRoO4478 I must say.....yeah.....but we're all lucky to know that such a great band exists !
This song is so fucking epic!!
That just ripped my body apart.
