She is definitely in the chorus, also I thought that it is Camz in the pre-chorus singing 'clap clap clap', "we don't need hands for that', even on Genius it is written that it's her, but I don't really trust this site when it comes to groups and their vocals, and knowing that this is Normani shocked me. Maybe it's Ally herself doing this vocals, since in Me & My Girls post-chorus sung by her in a baby-like voice?
i'm shocked that Normani sings at the pre-chorus! also i don't really hear Camila at 1st chorus but i think she's there since it's like unison and she could be hidden by the ot4 voices
Camila leads the bgv of the chorus, her voice is the most prominent. Lauren is also pretty clear, and you can hear Ally here and there. I don't particularly hear Dinah or Normani, but they could be stacked. This chorus reminds me of That's My Girl: lead vocals by Camila and bgv led by Camila with harmonies from everyone. Not everyone is heard, but the 5 are there. Could be the same case scenario. Also, in this song, sometimes it seems like there are more voices in parts, it sounds thicker; other parts, sounds like there ain't 5 vocals singing... Could be, for instance, Norminah's vocals cut or someone else's multiple vocals? I guess it's one of those songs we won't know until we have the stems :/
@@wlas4146 Ally kinda already did hers so it would make more sense for Dinah to have it but at this time they kinda made Camila look like the lead singer. So she would likely going to get the more lead type of vocals
@@wlas4146 Ally definitely proved it should’ve been hers after Camila left. Dinah’s voice on a note like this might’ve been a little too heavy to really fit the EDM vibe. But they really tried to force Camila to be the belter on this album and it just did not fit at all. Her high note on BHB is one that’s also hard to listen to esp live.
Am I crazy or does the main vocal of “we’ll be sexy sexy” sound very much like Normani? It’s been jarring me since I first heard the song like I really don’t think that’s Mila.
@@clandfam2238 it’s not even just the throatiness. She usually hisses her Ss more. Like me thinks they just mixed up the vocal tracks in post-production or randomly placed Mani’s bite in there. Maybe it is Camila but it sounds more like Mani than her if I had to pick. It wouldn’t be the first time the producers randomly stuck one of their voices between another girl’s lines.

You can tell it must have been a hard vocal for her to do, thise producers probably had to do multiple takes.
