He is not only an excellent rugby player but also a great ambassador for Argentina, please let them back into Super Rugby Pacific.....and also play a whole round in Argentina, it would be an an amazing country to tour. I know logistics and finances are a burden but this is what the world governing body is for.....All I see is the NH cashed up teams enticing players from the SH and everywhere else to fill up their coffers ...time to put someone from the SH in charge of international rugby
You complain about NH rugby but it was SANZAR that kicked Los Jaguares out of Super rugby after they finished 2nd and the Crusaders brought their best player to the Crusaders. Hmmm. Up until Fijian Drua was established this year and for as long as super rugby has existed SANZAR teams and their underage school systems have been enticing Pacific Islanders on scholarships and professional contracts rather than helping in any way develop self sufficient professional structures in those countries through participation in pro leagues. You could look closer to home rather than the NH for positive reform.
Ah, banging the old drum of the 'evil' Northern Hemisphere, sure to harvest likes from Kiwi supporters. NH rugby will always be relatively 'cashed-up' given the economic and cultural power of the relative countries and region where they're located. Rather than complaining incessantly about these realities I'd ask how you could do more with what you have.
As an All Blacks & Los Pumas fan, I really enjoyed the video. Great to see two excellent players share their food and culture. Go All Blacks! Vamos Los Pumas carajo! 🇦🇷🤝🇳🇿
We need to extend Pablo's contact for next season. He has been a great addition to the team. Guys like Cullen Grace, Ethan Blackadder and Tom Christie are learning so much from him
I absolutely love this vid. What a fantastic interview. Both men represented their countries very well. A perfect example of the thugs game played by gentlemen!!
Great to hear his story of travelling with Rugby, hell of a rugby player and cool guy to go with it. Thanks for sharing, hope to see more like it- maybe even follow an international player like Matera as he goes through his journey with playing and living in NZ, but regardless, thanks for this.
What a fantastic mix of cultures, as an argentinian die hard rugby fan this filled my heart. Many thanks, hope we have in the future more interchange like this.
its good seeing different players play for nz teams i hope there's more of it in future, you play here to play the best domestic comp in the world more should come for the experience instead of chasing money in europe, pablo's going to be such a better player for it probably argentina's best player ever
I love rugby, two players opposite ends of the earth enjoying a meal. As a wallabies supporter they wear the wrong jersey for me but would have a steak and a beer with them any day.
Been to NZ many many times, absolutely loved every time spent there... but I have to say, you guys have nothing tipycal from your own country to eat, its all international food... I even asked what a tipycal kiwi dish would be and no one seemed to know
You're right there sir. That's what happens when you colonize an entire country and the people in it. We end up being almost another countries clone. Fish and chips a UK dish. Pies once again not a kiwi dish, sausages german. Whitebait is the only thing in this and bluff oysters are the only thing authentic to NZ. We do have a dish authentic to the indigenous culture which is the Hangi a underground oven which cooks meat and veges over hot rocks and is buried beneath the ground. It is delicious but takes hours to prepare. If your in NZ again travel to rotorua and go to a place called the Mitai Māori village. They cook a Hangi and do performances for you that's authentic as to NZ.
@@wiremumatenga883 yesssss, forgot about those, my apologies... been to Rotorua with my girl, they told me about that way of cooking but I guess i was not in the mood for it that day... i Will try it next time i go. Cheers bro
@@PB22559 what the hell are you talking about 🤣🤣 I said that due to colonisation NZ so called signature dishes are not authetic to NZ. Yeah fair play!, we don't really have our own 'NZ Cuisine". Maybe the Hangi, but it's pretty hard to get a hold of. I'd like to think that we have put some positive spin on other cultures' food.
All Blacks need a Pablo Matera type captain. We haven’t had that kind of leadership since McCaw. Read is a notable mention though as he benefited from being heavily exposed to McCaws leadership. Matera would be in the mix for current “best 6 in the world” and “best international captain” conversations…
No need to maintain all the extra muscle and weight. Very common in retired athletes and just healthier in general. You should have a look at former NFL linemen for some really dramatic weight changes, such as Joe Thomas.

Pablo was outstanding against the Brumbies. Physically dominant. Wonderful Rugby talent.
Most scripted show ever… and no one care about talking about rugby… no wonder NZ teams are now losing games to Australian teams

What would putting someone from the SH in charge of International Rugby do in changing "cashed up" NH clubs. Literally different organisations
