I LOVE that RUclips pushes your videos to the top. I do try to incorporate your advice into my cycling and fitness plans. I fail most times, but I keep trying.
From the 1st July I’m going to do ten minutes of breath work each morning and evening and only use social media between 8 and 8 for 30 days…let’s see how that impacts me!
Great video again, in the lead up to my race this Sunday ( 17th ) I stopped drinking for 6 weeks just to see the difference in performance ect, I've shed 6kg in weight, reduced my calorie in take slowly and if I only had 1 hour to get a session in it was quality not quantity 👍 thanks coach.
Coach, your guidance is so on the money, spot on! Late last year, I set a goal, to ride 500 miles across the state of Iowa in 7 days (RAGBRAI). At the beginning of the year, I contracted Covid. In March, I spent 2 weeks with my Dad in the hospital. In May and June, I had to undergo a series of vascular procedures. The FOCUS, and CONSISTENCY with adaptability, on an important goal was/is paramount. My training is namely on a trainer for the sake of parent care. Equipment not nearly as important as quality time in a saddle. My goal is 7 consecutive days, 5 hours in the saddle. Today is day 4, and from day 7 taper the hours to RAGBRAI in 3 weeks. Thank you for your ongoing motivation and guidance!
5 hours on the trainer a day. Ouch. I’m riding Ragbrai and I agree consistency is most important and back to back training days. However you can triple your average training day during Ragbrai. So if you can do 30 miles as a training day you can do 90 miles on Ragbrai, due to the number of rest stops and food. Have a great ride.
@rondickinson3963 So awesome to hear from a fellow Ragbrai rider. Training has been a challenge, but I am hoping that the focused saddle time has prepared me. Have a great ride; hope to meet you along the route! ✌️
Never ever give up...... but i quit a bike race once...then it got easier and easier to quit... it took a LONG time to unlearn this... in the field of business i relearned to never quit.
Hey Coach, I loved watching and riding to your old videos on catch up…. Base builder, VO2, Christmas pie… etc, how can I get access to those old videos ?

I think you are prepared and will do great. Have fun
I know what mine is. Nutrition. I get the exercise. I get the sleep. I don't drink. I'm a good weight. But I really struggle with nutrition.
You nailed it!
You have certainly made a difference to my cycling since having a bike fit and taking on board a lot of you points ?
