When I leave the ramp , my biggest question is do I go left or right . I'm one of those old guys with a 10' John boat and no electronics . I am rarely skunked , knock on wood . You must always thank the fish for being part of your day . The gods of fishing are always watching !

As a "young guy" 36, I see the whole field. Don't underestimate the old angler: don't underestimate them be cause of what you mentioned but also some are also good a livescope as well. In the same regard, don't underestimate the young guns. They may be good at technology but they understand a lot more than you think about the different factors. They understand where to set their boat down, the angles, how and why fish setup where they do, not because of livescope. YOU taught them! (Aka internet videos) Livescope simply gives them the ability to put the bait on those quality fish but YOU taught them where to go and how they set up (again internet videos). Randy, your teaching videos are great. Don't think for a second the younger generation isn't listening to your instruction, they are. What you don't realize is they are gathering all of this great info and pairing it with technology. I've said this a lot but YOU STILL HAVE TO KNOW WHERE TO PUTTING THE TROLLING MOTOR IN THE WATER! It's no accident that the young guys that weighed 31# on table rock this spring landed on those fish. They put in the work in, livescope just let them put a bait where it needed to be. They still had to figure out where to stop the boat and start fishing.

I agree with you on the live scope. They are catching all the big crappie out of our lakes. And the game and fish will end up putting a slot limit on them and that means if you fishing with out a live scope and you catch a real nice crappie you have to turn it back

Scopers are cleaning out the lakes, no doubt....As well, there are plenty of dishonest anglers (many are scopers) that will keep illegal amounts of fish too...100% fact...plenty of trophy bass are being caught with Cheatscope & those same anglers are keeping them...Result....another reproducing fish taken away because of FFS a.k a. It's also more rewarding when you have to put work in and learn a lake and how to fish it. FFS is taking that away as well. I am always intrigued by just how different lakes are and how you have to approach them, even ones that are local to each other. To me, that's part of the fun.

I know several guys personally who struggled to go out and catch crappie. Now that they have live scope and have spent a little time with it, they go out and catch limits consistently. They all say the same thing, “it makes it easy!” One of my best friends is one of those guys!! They don’t care about the future of fishing, all they care about is catching as many fish as possible so they can brag about it and try to feel good about themselves!! I am sick and tired of watching guys pull up to the lake, put a TV screen of the front of their boat, put the boat in and take off trolling around the middle of the lake staring down at the screen.

Now the kids of great older bass fishermen that are interested in bass fishing are hammers early also because they have fished with their dads since they could walk. Also everyone on RUclips has a little button called Fast Forward for anyone complaining about housekeeping tips so don’t worry about those guys. I live in Nebraska. Very few large impoundments. Most lakes are Sandpits, NRD mudholes and Sandhills natural shallow ponds. Most mudholes would be cleaned in an 8 hour day. Sand pits are relativly sterile and shaped like bowls with the only baitfish being blue or crappie. Those lakes the fish have nowhere to hide and are few. Bass suspend just off subtle structure.
10 Spot lighters could degrad every lake in Nebraska if they were allowed in to them.
