The umbrella is designed to not get you wet while getting out of a car, I guess you didn’t notice it flips out opposite from any other umbrella. I have one, a different brand from sears outlet that has the same mechanism .
Yeah that's basically the whole innovation of it. Maybe the manufacturer didn't make that clear enough on the packaging. It should tell its own story from the shelf.
I think you should do more Amazon products whether you do a normal full review or mini-reviews. The reviews on Amazon are such a mixed bag and there are so many reviews that are not trustworthy. Also, very BA rocking out with slippers. 😂 Give us a P.O. Box to send you stuff ourselves ❤️
I love your reviews. My new son-in-law is in a heavy metal band and my daughter has a bad neck and back. I think I'll get her the massager and him the slippers! Then I'll be the cool mother-in-law right? lol I'm having fun with my new Range Mate Pro. It's great, thanks for your honest and entertaining reviews.
I think the point of that umbrella is that it was inverted so it would open in a way to keep you dry when it closes or opens. He missed that part. As a Seattle native, that is important. If it’s windy it will probably start closing as normal.
I have a massager just like that one and I love it. I have issues with my rotator cuff and it helps to loosen the muscles for me between trips to the massage therapist. I way overpaid for mine I got it started home and garden show but they caught me at the exact right moment when I was dealing with some hardcore pain so I was desperate for relief. I love mine!
I have a $60 Junpro projector from 2 years ago. It's 480p, but in a dark room it's serviceable. Spending a little more on the projector screen by having one out of polyester or vinyl with a higher gain benefits the quality of budget projectors
When we lived near Seattle good umbrellas were hard to come by. A good test would be rain so fine it soaks you in a second along with wind gusts that turn your umbrella inside out and snap the inside hinges. RIP so many umbrellas who died that way. 😂
I recently bought one of the neck massage items. I would recommend just looping your thumbs thru the hoops. Start on your neck and raise your arms outwards and you can easily walk it down your back since only your thumbs are in the loops. I hope that makes sense!
I have a projector I have use it for kids party's for xbox and movies also for lights at x-mass time so it shows things on the wall like your other projectors that has red and green lights and snowman.we get snow where i am so i project it on the snow out the window just find what you like and load it up .I also take it out at night and use the side of the house and I have the 120 volt in car inverted so i can take it out and do my own movie night where ever I want I picked up mine about 8 years I paid $700 for it and got my moneys worth so the $70 one you have is a good deal I almost picked one up at the store here for $70 when they did a clearance sale I recommend this for sure
I know this is an older video but I've been using buckwheat pillows for a few years after I had neck pain randomly on and off for years. Not once has my neck hurt from the buckwheat though. I always thought my family was crazy when I was a kid but I see now why they loved them lol.. My dad still has his that he uses from the 90s lol
I love that you buy all that stuff on TV to try out and get them to real-world tests. Quite frankly I hate returning stuff so it's really good to get an opinion beforehand. That's a ton of stuff that you review.
Does that umbrella close in reverse? It looks like a compack version of the BetterBrella. I wonder if its good at stopping rain from dripping on you when you open and close it.
I absolutely hate buckwheat pillows. My favorite "pillow" (I think it's supposed to function more as a back rest because it's so big) is probably a little under twice the size of a regular pillow and fluffy. Very easy to manipulate, I like to sleep on my side with one arm partially under the pillow and it conforms to pretty much any shape I want it to. My second favorite is the good old heavy feather pillow.
I have a Fraylon pillow from amazon. You can add and take out foam. I like it very much. The only thing is, it runs hot. I put a flat down pillow on it.
The thing I like about that umbrella is the reinforcing around the outside edge. Also, its hard to tell but it didn't look like it had the pokey things sticking out either, I hate those. I live in Florida, hurricane capital of the world, we have one passing by as I type this in fact (Michael) so I have a large assortment of umbrellas. So for a folding umbrella, that seems to be really good quality and larger than the typical folder.
Did anybody else get the impression that that was his first encounter with a compact umbrella or potentially any type of umbrella? He seemed genuinely amazed by it. I even rewatched the segment to see if I missed something remarkable. Nope.
I've never seen something like that umbrella. I guess it may just be me treating umbrellas as something of a fashion statement (I'm fond of old and luxurious ones) but I can't say that I've encountered something that small.
Thanks for the reviews. Re: the massager, I clicked on your Amazon link and found photos of a female with both her hand in those loops so you were correct. Their photos also show how to use it on your legs and abdomen. We may purchase this one and maybe the projector. Please comment on the screen you attached to your wall. Keep up the great reviews!
If you don't like the sound of buckwheat you could just remove most or all of it then replace with only foam...of course this wouldn't make it any different than a regular shredded foam pillow that can be bought for a lot cheaper than $50. I have several shredded memory foam pillows that I absolutely adore because they are the perfect balance of soft & firm for me and they don't go flat over time. I bought them at Walmart for around $12 each.
I love my massager . I use it often and have had it over a year. I also like that I can take it on long road trips and use it in my car when shoulders get really knotted from driving .( I dont use it while driving )
I love my neck massager! Mine is different design but same settings and it only works for neck. I have chronic migraines so it helps relieve the tension and stiffness
I know this upload is old, but for the projector, that screen should be drum tight, so no lines or multiple glare points. That screen should have come with a frame, be it used on a stand, or wall hangable. The focus would be hd quality. I did audio visual set ups for concerts and events, so I know how it should look. However, your screen is a baby compared to the ones I set up, but same concept. All those snaps around the border of the he screen, snap onto a frame so tight it's almost impossible to snap them all, but when snapped, wow, it's like a solid wall for projectors, and look amazing. I wouldn't mind having one.
One thing you missed with the umbrella (because you live in Las Vegas), is that when it closes, the outside looks like it folds up instead of down. So imagine it raining hard, you enter your car and shut the umbrella, the water won't drip down into your car and your clothes, especially as you close the car door and move the umbrella to the floor board on the passenger side (that is where I put my umbrella to keep stuff from getting wet).

RCA makes an identical projector. Runs about same price and can find at walmart. It performs just like the one you reviewed. 1080p but it's rather pixelated but that could just because how close i was to it. About 10 feet away.
6:12 I've gone thru a lot of similar massagers - they feel great, but they don't last long. I think at most, I've gotten 6 mos after one of these things before one or both heads stop being able to spin
I personally love projectors. Flat screens are cool and sh*t, but I think projectors are the future. They need to make them last longer though, but the potential is most certainly there. I think the largest commercially available TV is 80-some inches, and with every projector i've ever come across, you can get 200 inches easily, and some up to 300. Those 80-some inch TV's cost thousands, whereas you can get your hands on a projector that usually costs about the same as a 40-50 inch tv.
I live in phoenix which is fairly close to LV. Its interesting that your recent videos have the same weather as we are having here. Does vegas have a monsoon season too? I think we are getting your rain
My Birthday is in May. I'm telling my kids and husband about the back massager I normally hate getting presents but, this may be one I won't mind getting.
you really want to test a projector out watch something that has a lot of dark scenes like night time action if you can't make out what's going on its a horrible projector as a computer or tv screen you can actually make out what's going on. Me and my sister tried watching the CW show Supernatural on a projector and it might as well have been a radio with the night scenes. reviewing the same scenes on the normal computer screen it was easy to see what was going on.
I haven't seen a projector that I'm all that impressed with. I suppose they're nice for seminars and events where larger groups of people are watching something, but I think I'd rather just use my $15 Anycast & mirror it to my TV. The whole point of the umbrella is that you're not supposed to have to leave it open to dry. I've got a bit of interest in it, because my cat tears regular umbrellas up if I put them in the tub to dry. How did it work for that purpose? Could you update us, James?
The projector in this review was complete garbage and a scam, but the main pro of projectors is sizing of the 'screen', You can get a 75"+ image for cheaper than a 75" TV, however consumer projectors are behind in image quality, the one in the review was a piss poor 480p, most decent projectors are 1080p ($300+), and if you have over $1,500 you can get 4k.
Wish you had a list of items you recommend--it is hard to co way back and check all the videos. For instance--what sunglases did you decide you like???
Would you be willing to do another test with the projector for me? Due to my bedroom constraints, I don't have a place for a TV, but I also have nowhere to put a projector screen. So in my head, I'm seeing projecting my PS3 (yes, three) onto my ceiling directly. I could lay in bed and play that way. Please let me know either way. Thanks.
I bet somebody asked already but I'm curious about replacement bulbs and the cost of that projector. I've been shopping for projectors and it turns out the replacement bulbs don't last and that ends up being an ongoing annual expense at least. Did you continue to use this projector and discover any lifespan for the light bulb? Thank you for this awesome review by the way! I'm in Vegas also and we've sure had a couple days that umbrella would have been handy :-) surprise!
Hey James, Thanks for the video reviews. One question on the projector. How far away from the wall did you have it placed? I have been shopping for one. Thought it would be cool to project a movie in my back yard against my Garage. I do have retractable screens but no projector. Be Safe
Omg, i wish that company would send me that massager! Chronic pain is debilitating. I'd review it all over my social media! I am a 45yr old with too much Day to day, 24/7 pain - who would so benefit from this! Can you put in a good word for me James? A Canadian review? I am in Ontraro! Lol same with umbrella - it rains here a lot! 😂 Thanks James, great video!
The umbrella is designed to not get you wet while getting out of a car, I guess you didn’t notice it flips out opposite from any other umbrella. I have one, a different brand from sears outlet that has the same mechanism .
josh maier yeah I was kinda disappointed that he didn't notice that
Yeah that's basically the whole innovation of it. Maybe the manufacturer didn't make that clear enough on the packaging. It should tell its own story from the shelf.
I thought it was for the wind not destroying it when catching a strong gust from below.
He lives in Las Vegas. Probably doesn't know much about umbrellas! 😎
10:13 That kick with the slippers though! lol
I was very impressed I thought it was going to end badly but it didn’t
I think you should do more Amazon products whether you do a normal full review or mini-reviews. The reviews on Amazon are such a mixed bag and there are so many reviews that are not trustworthy.
Also, very BA rocking out with slippers. 😂 Give us a P.O. Box to send you stuff ourselves ❤️
I'm definitely going to keep doing this as a series every month or two. (There's a PO Box in my 'about' tab)
The problem I have with umbrellas is that the invert when the winds are high enough. I'm really interested to see if the umbrella would invert.
I think the point of that umbrella is that it was inverted so it would open in a way to keep you dry when it closes or opens. He missed that part. As a Seattle native, that is important. If it’s windy it will probably start closing as normal.
I like this IDEA, you should keep it up, Like once a month you review 5 items you received in one video. LOVE IT!!!
Kathy S Thanks for the input!
I love my buckwheat/foam pillow. I had to add more foam than buckwheat because I found the buckwheat a little sharp.
The “Watchdog 2” footage was great! Bam on the back of the head twice and then bam on the back of the van, i had a good laugh 😆
I have a $60 Junpro projector from 2 years ago. It's 480p, but in a dark room it's serviceable. Spending a little more on the projector screen by having one out of polyester or vinyl with a higher gain benefits the quality of budget projectors

Pretty cool? It’s a regular umbrella as we use in rainy Copenhagen.
Does that umbrella close in reverse? It looks like a compack version of the BetterBrella. I wonder if its good at stopping rain from dripping on you when you open and close it.

'OHW'

Seems that the umbrella does not have wind vents like most umbrellas do nowadays - so if it were windy, it could invert if it caught a gust.
Awesome James! Thanks for testing out the abundance of products you buy. ✌️👍
Did anybody else get the impression that that was his first encounter with a compact umbrella or potentially any type of umbrella? He seemed genuinely amazed by it. I even rewatched the segment to see if I missed something remarkable. Nope.

That pillow sounds like it's filled with cereal.
Haha!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
It kind of is...
the sound is suppose to mimic rain to help you fall asleep but for some it's annoying
Thanks for the reviews. Re: the massager, I clicked on your Amazon link and found photos of a female with both her hand in those loops so you were correct. Thanks for your sharing, yes, the slippers are indoor shoes, lovely to play music with a home slippers.LOL
Umbrella looks like it closes inside out. Massager looks really good. Good mini reviews, worth checking out
"...it's only 180 degrees outside. I need it warmer in here.". 🤣🤣🤣
I loved the fact you watched Seinfeld with the projector my favorite show hats off to you.
Really like the amazon reviews please do more. What are you projecting this on?
Rock on Mr. James! I liked the projector I think I will look into it now that I have seen your review.
I know this upload is old, but for the projector, that screen should be drum tight, so no lines or multiple glare points. I love your reviews they are fun with info TY 😊
That massager thing seems pretty cool
I like these reviews, do more of them. I'm seriously considering the pillow and massager.
I like the Dad band.

Never wear those slippers in public again! 😂
2¢ Chicks 😂🤣
Rawb Nyce No, James is one of my closest friends. If he wears those out in public he will never get a date! Lol I was just trying to help him out.
2¢ Chicks - lmao, especially with socks!
😂😂
I would wear them out in public. I have no shame! 😄

I have the Umbrella. I live in Erie Pa. We get a lot of rain and it works real good,
Can you do a wind test for the umbrella?
Massager is simply amazing. For the headaches perfect
Wow I can’t believe your a rockstar seemingly out of no where
This is the first time I've thought "Ooh, I kinda want one" more than once in one of your videos =)
6:12 I've gone thru a lot of similar massagers - they feel great, but they don't last long. I think at most, I've gotten 6 mos after one of these things before one or both heads stop being able to spin
I use an umbrella when I'm walking in the sun.
The ultimate test for an umbrella is wind. So many break at the first gust of wind.
Good Morning from Golden Valley Arizona watching your freakin review in this freakin storm lolol

Oh yes, every summer around July-August we get these crazy monsoon storms (like a rainy dust storm we're having today).
Easily my favorite RUclipsr cracks me up😂😎
My Birthday is in May. I'm telling my kids and husband about the back massager I normally hate getting presents but, this may be one I won't mind getting.
Stupid question: Are umbrellas that size unusual in America? In Germany they are the norm and larger ones are used sorta as a fashon accesour.
Actually, they are quite common in the USA, and have been for many years.
You're the best review channel.
Candice Adams thanks
Digging the VGK shirt, hockey season is almost back

i want that umbrella
I've had this massager in my Amazon basket for about a month. Looks like I may be placing an order tonight.

ac3ofspades878
Exactly what I'm saying. For the price of home projectors, the quality sucks.
Those slippers are designed to jump off your marshal or ampeg stack!
Wish you had a list of items you recommend--it is hard to co way back and check all the videos. For instance--what sunglases did you decide you like???
He has a link at bottom of the description to a Amazon list
Link the band tho sounded pretty good
Omg the neck massager review made me laugh out loud
I am very excited to see more of the massage therapy.
Every video I've seen of yours, your beard always looking good
How does the umbrella work in the wind? That's the true test
that perfect throw at 6:13 though
Ive had small umbrellas like that for years.. nothing new about that design
The way it opens and closes is the new and innovative part
Would you be willing to do another test with the projector for me? Due to my bedroom constraints, I don't have a place for a TV, but I also have nowhere to put a projector screen. So in my head, I'm seeing projecting my PS3 (yes, three) onto my ceiling directly. I could lay in bed and play that way.

Looks like a large canopy on this umbrella. 👍

I want a vid of you just rocking out. Like jamming to some classic rock.
Hey James, Thanks for the video reviews. One question on the projector. How far away from the wall did you have it placed? I have been shopping for one. Thought it would be cool to project a movie in my back yard against my Garage. I do have retractable screens but no projector. Be Safe
I'm diggin that Golden Knights shirt Go Knights Go!!
The umbrella closes out so you don't drip water when closing it
Idk how people sleep on their back I wake up clogged up or cant even sleep on back
10:51 MAD BARS
for the umbrella push the button to open or close it.
@6:14 that spinning toss landed amazingly.
It would be nice to be able to go to the review of one of the products featured in this video, ie time stamps keep up the good work 👍👍👍
Like in australia--It might rain or, 6 yrs later, it might not.
That product looked very interesting shown on the projector
We need a RUclips channel for the band
Omg, i wish that company would send me that massager! Chronic pain is debilitating. I'd review it all over my social media! I am a 45yr old with too much Day to day, 24/7 pain - who would so benefit from this!
Can you put in a good word for me James? A Canadian review? I am in Ontraro!
Lol same with umbrella - it rains here a lot! 😂
Thanks James, great video!
Rock on, James!
That song was sounding pretty good.
You and my dad look very similar. He’s an exceptionally good bassist. Which made me wonder if you were a bass player, no need to wonder anymore.
cool amazon mail time talk james white
Hey how do I hear your music? I like that song. It sounds good.
Good video man, I love it
👍🏾. I have a similar neck/back massager. I love it. My daughter and I fight over it.
I had no expectations but it is pretty nice.
Does the pillow retain heat? Is there any odors?
Awesome mini-reviews!
Where van I check out your band??
Wow...it rains in Las Vegas? lol
Hah yeah, especially in the summer!
Now that I know you play a guitar I find you even cooler :)
Sun B Bass*
Nathaniel Rodriguez a bass guitar is still a guitar
guthber is not a guitar is a BASS guitar totally different
Bass
he plays bass, it makes him less cool
Have you done a review on As Seen on TV Instagone Pro?
