Great Info...worked on these for years found many problems associated with moisture that would get into the unit due to exposure over time. Cabling also an issue that would corrode and cause intermittent or no water conditions. The biggest issue I've seen with this controller is the Ckt Breaker that would wear down with time causing unit to lose power if six or more stations turned on.
Made a comment about the Ckt Breaker issues : If you are handy with a soldering iron carefully remove the back screws of the unit and carefully remove the Ckt Board (Held in By Clips). Locate the Ckt Breaker remove the device and replace with a Resettable Fuse.
