  • The Camino del Norte is the perfect alternative to the crowded Camino Frances: less people, spectacular views in great northern landscapes of the Spanish north. The St. James Way at it’s best.

      Im Vergleich zum Frances ist es leer. Aber: die Zahlen steigen jedes Jahr, wie auch auf den anderen Wegen. Und je weiter du nach Westen kommst, um so voller wird es. Der Primitivo ist da noch deutlich entspannter.

    Great video. I'm planning Camino del Northe in the begining of May, but I'll carry camping equipment, including tent (i can't handle snoring). What is the average night temperature in May, did you notice that? I have some doubt about sleeping bag, that's why I'm asking.

    • @Caminotips
      @Caminotips  5 лет назад +1

      Snezana Radojicic It is pretty cold in the night, you need a very good sleeping bag. carrying a tent is a pain, when every single gram counts. I wouldn’t do it. Think about staying in cheap hotels and pensions, you will find rooms from 20 Euros upwards.

    • @Biciklom_oko_sveta
      @Biciklom_oko_sveta 5 лет назад +1

      @@Caminotips thank you a lot, I checked average temperatures, but it's always better to ask. My quilt has comfort zone up to -6 C, so it will be fine. Thank you for advice, and yes, I know that, but we always sacrifise something to get something more important for us. For me, it's my rest and private space :) My base backpack weight is only 6 kg (tent by itself is 900 gr) excluding water and food... I guess I will carry less weight than many pilgrimes. I am 7 yrs on the road, living like a nomad, and I am quite obsesive about every single gram, as well as every single penny, cos my daily budget is ~10$ (for Camino it will be ~20$) on the road ;)

      Hi Meltari! I am using a Sonny AX53 4K Camcorder. It's a great cam, with a very good stabilizer mechanism. At home I am using Vegas Pro for cutting, that software has a plugin called "Mercalli" which is a de-shaker. I always carry a tripod but I never use it, because I am too lazy :)

      Hey Ben, I did it July-August 2017 alone. I met loads of people along the way but I can't imagine not being on your own to start. You definitely won't be lonely but you'll not have to deal with the crowds of other caminos. I can only recommend it. Buen Camino!

      Practice the hills, there are a lot of climbs and the descents are even worse. Expect to loose your big toe nails. Great journey, fantastic scenery, as always fantastic pilgrims and great food. I got as far as Nueva and had to stop because of tendonitis (which is still painful, since last May). Really afraid I won't be able to complete it. You're never alone on Camino. Buen Camino
