TIP! I recommend going to a salon and having a stylist apply your clip ins and trim them to layer/blend with your hair! Saves so much time trying to make them not look fake
Great tip, Mae - we totally agree! We also recommend coming up with a numbering system for the wefts, so that you know exactly where each weft is supposed to be clipped in for future uses. 💗
Loved this tutorial! I just started wearing hair extensions and this has helped me out, especially that ponytail trick. By the way busy Mimi, I miss your tutorials! 💖 Hope to see you pop up on an upcoming video!
omg this video was SO helpful. i have my sisters wedding coming up and i really wanted to wear extensions but i just didn’t know how it could possibly stay in because my hair is so thin. literally that first tip of braiding my hair was the best tip ever.
I just want to thank you for sharing such a valuable information. I was so frustrated not knowing how to use my extensions in a pony tail until I watch your video. I love my pony tail. Thank you ❤️
I LOVE hack 5! I bought hair extensions that were single weft, which does not work with my thick ass hair. I purchased more that are triple weft and I will use this tip when blending the two different ones!
Hardest thing to get used to is the weight of hair when you have fine hair thin as frog hair. Tip: you don't always have to use the entire set of clip ins. Sometimes half will do the job.
Just wanna say -I’ve teased my clips onto my head for a very long time so that my extensions don’t slip out during the day. But having the clip hold on that tight has caused me to have bald spots where the clip was.
You may want to skip the extensions for awhile while you rebuild the strength of your hair. Clip ins can be a disaster for people with brittle and or damaged hair
Thank you! The #4 opened my eyes literally! Haha it’s so simple that I didn’t think about it before, I’ll start using hair extensions and hour video helped me a lot for ❤
I’ve done it without backcombing, and had it hold up well throughout the day. I just used some dry shampoo 🤷♀️ALSO, I highly recommend creating small braids under the spot where you want to put your wefts in. It’s essentially the benefits of backcombing without just right off breaking your hair. Good luck!
If you didn't want to tease your hair, you can spray each section with either a hairspray, sea salt spray, or volumizing spray (you may even use a dry shampoo). This will help create a better surface for your Luxies to attach to and should eliminate any slippage. You can also try to 'twist' your hair around like a twirl, so that there is a large amount of hair for the clips to clip on to. If that doesn't work, you can even try softly braiding the section of hair where you want your Luxies to clip in so that the clips can catch onto the braid for support. 💗
Hi love! Luxy Hair extensions are made of 100% human remy hair. Just like your own hair, Luxy Hair extensions can be straightened, blow-dried, styled and curled. You can us out at luxyhair.com! 💗
Hi beautiful! We're currently sold out of our Carrier Cases, however, we'll be re-stocking in the next couple of months. To stay up to date, we recommend to subscribe to our newsletter: www.bit.ly/luxynewsletter 💗
the best is the tape in extensions - does not break the hair - is much better to make it so I find the best way to do it soon I'll make a video as it can then yes stop by
Your company could really get a jump on the game if you provided hair rings, for like 20 bucks so we could touch and feel the hair, bring it to our stylist to see what shade he or she would choose- as in which shade would be the easiest to add color, etc to for the perfect match. My friend and I were looking at your company, along with 3 others. We both went with ones that had good ratings and offered hair rings. This is a big investment. Your company needs hair rings! Plus, I've gotten compliments on my extensions every time I wear them, I've let friends use my color ring, and they've ended up ordering from the same brand. Your customer service is so sweet, butts rather pay more and have a hair ring than go off a picture.
We understand that it can be hard determining your perfect Luxy color match from a computer screen. Clip-in hair extensions are an investment for many people, and we want your purchase to be risk-free and anxiety-free. This is why we designed our packaging to be divided up into two compartments. One of the compartments holding your main set of extensions, and the other compartment holding your sample weft. We're also happy to offer a maximum of two color sample swatches to our customers within the U.S. and Canada for a flat rate of $10 (shipping only). 💗
Any one heard of the clipping wavy extension microwave method if so please let me know I just subscribed to your channel and I'm about to share it on Facebook because I did a bad bleaching job box dye has never failed me Sally's but maybe I did something wrong so I'm not going to blame sallys
Sorry, easiest way to curl extentions is to dip them into boiling water for 5 seconds, then immediately wrap around a pencil for corkscrew curls or a paper towel roll for larger curls.
At approx 34 seconds in to this video it was an automatic thumbs down!👎🏽 This is because everything was mentioned about this product you are obviously selling, including what to hang them on which was ass-a-nine...
Yeah okay but... I still would have wanted to see what you do with the rest of your hair once you braided it and clipped it...? Do you release the rest of the upper/top crown hair? I'm just saying I would have liked to see how you blend/blended the rest! 🤦🤦 🤦
What's your BIGGEST tip for wearing hair extensions? Let us know! xo
This was BY FAR the most useful video on hair extensions I've ever watched. And girl, I've watched A LOT of them lol
Wow, we're delighted to hear this! 💗
Same! I was mindblown for most of the hacks! Especially the ponytail hack
I could not agree more. Mind is BLOWN yet I feel so stupid because they’re just so simple and basic. Like what in the world ? Oy! Thank you so much
Pre-curling the extensions the night before SAVES SO MUCH TIME
It most definitely does ;) xx
I'm African American and yes braids is a must for clip in extensions. Love your hair color❤❤❤
I’m a long time extension user, and this was by far one of my favorite videos with some fabulous tips. Well done and thank you!
That's fantastic to hear, thank you, love! 💗
Loved this tutorial! I just started wearing hair extensions and this has helped me out, especially that ponytail trick.
By the way busy Mimi, I miss your tutorials! 💖 Hope to see you pop up on an upcoming video!

Yay, we're so happy to hear that! Congratulations to your sister on her upcoming wedding. 💗
I just want to thank you for sharing such a valuable information. I was so frustrated not knowing how to use my extensions in a pony tail until I watch your video. I love my pony tail. Thank you ❤️

Great tip! Yes, you do not need to use all the wefts, all the time. Put some aside and this also increases the lifespan of your set. 💗
The Wet N Dry brush works really well too. 😊
These are actually pretty good hacks
Thanks!
So happy you found these helpful, thank you for taking the time to comment. If you have any video requests, please be sure to let us know. xo
These were great tips. Thank you do much. The cute/funny faces are very cool too
This video helped me to decide if I wanted to invest in hair extensions with clips. Thank You!
We're so delighted to hear that this was helpful to you! 💗
The short hair hack is so good!! Thank you!!
Yay, we're happy to hear your great feedback! 💗
Just wanna say -I’ve teased my clips onto my head for a very long time so that my extensions don’t slip out during the day. But having the clip hold on that tight has caused me to have bald spots where the clip was.
Try spritzing a bit of dry shampoo to the roots instead of teasing. 💗
You may want to skip the extensions for awhile while you rebuild the strength of your hair. Clip ins can be a disaster for people with brittle and or damaged hair
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE PONYTAIL TIP 😩💗
Glad this was helpful to you. 💗
Thank you! The #4 opened my eyes literally! Haha it’s so simple that I didn’t think about it before, I’ll start using hair extensions and hour video helped me a lot for ❤
This vid actually gave some good tips thankq
We're thrilled to hear this video was helpful to you! 💗
Backcombing damages my thinning hair. Everyone always gives that advice and I hate it. Is there anything else I can do?
I’ve done it without backcombing, and had it hold up well throughout the day. I just used some dry shampoo 🤷♀️ALSO, I highly recommend creating small braids under the spot where you want to put your wefts in. It’s essentially the benefits of backcombing without just right off breaking your hair. Good luck!

If that doesn't work, you can even try softly braiding the section of hair where you want your Luxies to clip in so that the clips can catch onto the braid for support. 💗
You can also use volumizing powder at the roots. It is a bit sticky and will help the clips grip.
So you can make a little mini mini braid or twist and it’ll keep it in place.
This seriously helped SO much, I just received mine about a week ago and I’ve been struggling with hiding them!!
So glad this video could help!💗
Smart and amazing!
We think so too! 💗
Oh, I must have that brush! I always get pull my extensions when trying to blend with my fine thin hair!
How did you stick two of them together? With tape? It’s a great idea 💡
Hi love! You can stack your wefts by clipping one weft to the strands on a second weft 💗
This was a really great video good job 👍😁
We're happy to hear that this was helpful! 💗
Thank you
Great job
Thank you, Amber! We appreciate you watching. 💗
i need to try these hacks. ❤️❤️❤️
Definitely give them a try! Let us know which ones worked for you the best. xx
Hack #1 is the best one. Once I learned that, my hair extensions blended in perfectly.
We're happy to hear this! 💗

But then you have a lump in the bottom of your hair when you braid your hair and put it up and then add the extensions to it
2nd ... love you mimi
Nice! Would love to hear more of your tips if you wear extensions xx
Now this is a Horses A _ _ :o)
this whole video feels like an ad
Sorry, easiest way to curl extentions is to dip them into boiling water for 5 seconds, then immediately wrap around a pencil for corkscrew curls or a paper towel roll for larger curls.
So weird how this has no views, 10 comments and 61 likes as of me posting this comment? Is there some sort of glitch?
We were wondering the same thing!! Definitely a RUclips glitch. xo
This would have been better if she shown the back of her hair as well
We appreciate your suggestion, Melissa! Thanks for reaching out. 💗
She have long hair why she need extension
For extra volume! 💗
O
This was half an add lol
Was this just a Luxie ad? No new info. Wasted my time
We're sorry to hear this. Thank you for your feedback here. 💗
Teasing your hair makes your hair break, so I don’t suggest doing it!
