Thank you for showing the tip change procedure, I was wondering what the little tips thread into since I didn't realize the "tip" actually splits into two pieces but it was just so tight initially that it needed one of the spanners to get open. I'm in love with this iron.
I have multiple fancy irons that heat up in seconds and ones that are battery powered etc. but I think this is always going to be my go-to iron for quick soldering tasks, usually my rechargeable ones have flat batteries after weeks of not using them and wires and soldering stations are just always in the way. Plus my hot air station is really bulky and it's so good that this thing actually has a hot air tip so that it's more controllable than an open flame from a torch

How safe is it to use ?
Is there a possibility of unexpected explosion or uncontroled fire ?
Is it normal the propane odor while using the tool ?

I bought one of these a few months ago thinking it would be ideal as I didn't want to be tethered to a cord. They are OK but one down side and I think its worth mentioning is the heat exhaust. You have to be mindful of this particularly if you are working close to other parts or structures which can ignite, melt or burn easily, including your fingers! I on sold mine unit and went for a 50w lithium battery soldering iron. 100% better.

Can you give a link to the one you bought? After reading your review i realized this is not what I'm looking for.

Gotta say I expected more from Dremel and I’m a fan of butane solder irons for portability. But that’s lacking for tip selection for soldering electronics with one useable tip really. I don’t know the price but there’s better options out there I think... I have a VERY old bernzamatic that was cheaper and has more useful bits that don’t need 2 wrenches to change. But, otherwise nice video... very detailed

You can buy extra tips. I have one and I would say its for light projects.

Your example work at 6 functions is excellent. I think that you don‘t show the seventh function as welding see your package-picture about welding.

@@Kaylah_Slays No, something else was the issue. I ended up swapping it out and so far it seems to work.

Is there a likelihood that the plastic of the handle will melt?

I don't think so, not in normal use. I've had it for years and it's not an issue!

snap on sells one for $260 and comes with less attachments, Dermal $30 bucks hats off and Derma's a good brand the one thing Snap-On had going is you hot swap with dropping them in a tin can and you just twist and switch i tould pay an extra $the if Dermal did that.

You should zoom in closer when doing that, your focus is off and hard to see it working well.

Got one of these but i think its has a faulty filling nipple, after filling with lighter / butane fuel during 5 minutes all the gas you can hear leaking out again. So I can't use it... Is this a problem you're aware of?
