    Nice floor pans. Your pretty good at this. Almost 5,000 subs. You should have a lot more before its over with. I love old hot rod channels like this. Iron trap Garage, This old hot rod, Bad chad, and Half Ass kustums, there are so many old ford guys. So many good channels to watch.

    Excellent work on the floors! 90% of building a car is cleaning, grinding, scraping and sanding...it's always a treat when someone else has done that part.

      Big fan! Noted on your 3W corners, you mentioned fabbing them. Dont quote me on the source, but I bought corners a few years back from Brookville ( I think!🤨)

    Thanks for sharing, Travis! 'Beautiful job on the floor panels! Watching you work with rust-free metal was entertaining, but seeing how you work with rusty panels is truly educational! Respect! Enjoy! Be safe!

    Travis one FYI when you’re putting both those panels together to weld them should put weld proof primer on both sides before you put it together you’re putting bare steel the bare steel I know they probably won’t rust in your lifetime but but well true primer would be the way to go I overthink things did a great job on the floor I was really impressed junkman do

    • @CarterAutoRestyling
      @CarterAutoRestyling 2 года назад +1

      Just my .02 but weld thru primer is akin to snake oil. When I worked in a collision shop I'd occasionally fix cars that had been previously repaired and the seams where weld through primer had been used were all rusting after only a couple years. The zinc stuff holds up a little better than the copper, but it's still not all it's cracked up to be. The best protection is seam sealer, epoxy primer and wax oil in all the crevices after paint. As long as the seam isn't exposed to moisture it won't rust, I've cut apart cars that had been sitting in a field 70 years and even though the entire body was covered in surface rust the seams still had clean bare metal. Anyway that's my rant on weld through primer.

I bought a Pullmax 3 years ago but due to moving and a new shop build have not gotten the chance to play with it yet..

    You made the floors but what about floor braces to support the floor with mounts and bolts

    • @RACGARAGE
      @RACGARAGE  2 года назад

      The bitchin floor pans are much thicker than stock and since I don’t know where the seat is going to be mounted I didn’t make any braces. I don’t believe that kit comes with floor braces anyway. I’ll make sure to remind kris to tell the next owner about the braces.

    Nice clean work, your a very talented young man. Just a suggestion, you need to slow your videos down when you come to bending and folding,( say your corners) so that your audience will understand your drawings on paper and how they are applied to sheetmetal.
    Thanks for sharing keep up the great work!

    Travis, you do some mighty fine work!! I have a question, after bead rolling a panel, how do you stop "oil canning"? Should the panel have been stress relieved on the English Wheel?

    • @RACGARAGE
      @RACGARAGE  2 года назад

      Yes you should always pre stretch beads on an English wheel or a planishing hammer or even a hammer and dolly. So you don’t have to fix it afterwards. As you saw I did my pre stretching on my English wheel. Hope that helps!

  • @billkahl1147
    @billkahl1147 2 года назад

    That's some nice work you did, but I'm definitely not a fan of over lapping panel. No matter how well you seal them moisture will eventually get in between the panels and rust them out.

    • @RACGARAGE
      @RACGARAGE  2 года назад

      Yeah overlapping isn’t my favorite either but sometimes it’s useful

    • @timboyle2499

      Besides, the factory overlapped areas and this won't rust away in any of our lifetime

    Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view !"
    Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam."
    Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!"
    Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..."
    Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!"
    Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky."
    Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction."
    Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment?
