I love you two. You have found the secret to a happy, full life. At the age of 71, I can tell you that your life is rich with life. I have so many friends, who retired and have had no idea who they are, what makes them tick, and they have no hobbies. Never stop being true to yourselves. This is what I wish for my 4 beautiful, grown granddaughters!
What clever sensible guys you are. I bought my first RV at 50 after working to buy 4 rental houses (plus my own) and spent the next 25 years and 3 better and bigger RVs travelling from my home near Manchester England to Germany in the summer and Morocco in winter. I look back on those years as magical ! The places and the people and experiences ! Good Luck!

There is an affiliate group of younger people, like you, who are working and raising families etc. They're the Escapers. They would be a great resource and a source of much info. I spent 20 years working at a soul killer job and only got out of it because I needed an emergency quad bypass……you guys made such an incredibly brave and wonderful decision. Watching you these last few months has made me so happy. Living vicariously I suppose but hey, at least I lived thru it and I’ve found you and now I’m determined to be happy in my retirement. You made a decision that so many of us wish we had made. Love you both so much.

The picture of my westie is from 2020, and at 15 and half we had to put him down because his life had become unliveable for him, and we miss him everyday!

Wow! I can so relate! We sold our home, bought an RV and left a year ago across Canada and back. We have now spent the winter in our RV in the lower mainland and it wasn't much fun! 😅 The walls really begin to close in around you. I had a meltdown last week, missing my home but more so, my yard and garden and was questioning whether we made the right move. We do plan to buy again when the time is right so just need to focus on the future and enjoy these moments now. Spring is upon us and being able to get outside makes everything seem brighter again. @@tylerandtodd Terrified. I didn't know if we could manage. We went from high income earners to living of our investments. We now grow most of our own food, make are own wine and manage quite well on much less. The first year was the scariest but once we realised we could do without all the things we used to buy just to impress or because we thought we had to have, we realized we could do it. I love you two off this first episode. A really good friend from work recommend that I watch your channel if I have not already. I was like, "Okay, seriously I will because we have the same interest and I know I would miss out if I didn't." I probably text him too long of a book on how happy I am that he told me about this channel. So he just got a big piece of beautiful land in South Carolina that he closed on today. That brought us super close together because my husband and I got 70 acres a few years ago and have enjoyed the joys of owning lots of land for many of the same reasons my good friend wanted his land for. I am so exited for my friend, hearing him talk about his hopes and dreams for his land is energizing, and fun to hear about. Which brings me to loving what I am seeing with you two. Plus a bonus, you two are so cute with your playful banter and flirting. The whole time my husband and I were like, "Yes, oh my gosh that is us! We can relate." Ect ect. Goodness. You are really smart! I just retired from a very (rat-race) job. I was able to retire early (58) which gives me time for me. BUT WOW at your ages and taking ahold of your lives and living on your terms now. It makes me teary-eyed knowing how awesome your lives are and will be.

In December of 2014 I sold everything I had, bought a 1995 Class C motorhome I affectionately named Eleanor, made a spot for my dog on the bed/dinette and headed down the Pacific Coast Highway. Stormy nights on the Oregon coast at one of only RV parks with a hot tub on a deck that I have seen (the other was in San Diego), beautiful Pacific Ocean scenes in Malibu at the only RV park in the area (watch for snakes!), the headed further South to the Santee Lakes. It was the best trip I have ever taken and after five years I moved back into a condo. It took me 44 years to decide to do that trip (and I had to raise a child first to do it), but it was the best thing I ever did. My only regret was that I didn't have anyone in my life to share the journey with. Enjoy the time, and each other, as there is never a better time to do what you are doing, then right now..
Wow Andre, that sounds like an incredible trip. I hear you on the stormy nights on the Oregon Coast, there’s something so magical about them isn’t it? We’ve been slowly making our way down the coast but have spent over a month in Oregon...the state parks are just unreal here

I love you two off this first episode. A really good friend from work recommend that I watch your channel if I have not already. I was like, "Okay, seriously I will because we have the same interest and I know I would miss out if I didn't." I probably text him too long of a book on how happy I am that he told me about this channel.
So he just got a big piece of beautiful land in South Carolina that he closed on today. That brought us super close together because my husband and I got 70 acres a few years ago and have enjoyed the joys of owning lots of land for many of the same reasons my good friend wanted his land for.
I am so exited for my friend, hearing him talk about his hopes and dreams for his land is energizing, and fun to hear about. Which brings me to loving what I am seeing with you two. Plus a bonus, you two are so cute with your playful banter and flirting.
The whole time my husband and I were like, "Yes, oh my gosh that is us! We can relate." Ect ect. Amazing job on your video editing and the way you two put your video together all the way through. When you played the song it hit me hard, we used that same one in our first true journey video. I am excited to keep up with your journey and see it happen. I also watch, Red Poppy Ranch. Now you both got me glued to your channel. Keep it up and thanks for sharing this!

Goodness. You are really smart! I just retired from a very (rat-race) job. I was able to retire early (58) which gives me time for me. BUT WOW at your ages and taking ahold of your lives and living on your terms now. It makes me teary-eyed knowing how awesome your lives are and will be.

In December of 2014 I sold everything I had, bought a 1995 Class C motorhome I affectionately named Eleanor, made a spot for my dog on the bed/dinette and headed down the Pacific Coast Highway. Stormy nights on the Oregon coast at one of only RV parks with a hot tub on a deck that I have seen (the other was in San Diego), beautiful Pacific Ocean scenes in Malibu at the only RV park in the area (watch for snakes!), the headed further South to the Santee Lakes. It was the best trip I have ever taken and after five years I moved back into a condo. It took me 44 years to decide to do that trip (and I had to raise a child first to do it), but it was the best thing I ever did. My only regret was that I didn't have anyone in my life to share the journey with. Enjoy the time, and each other, as there is never a better time to do what you are doing, then right now..
Wow Andre, that sounds like an incredible trip. I hear you on the stormy nights on the Oregon Coast, there’s something so magical about them isn’t it? We’ve been slowly making our way down the coast but have spent over a month in Oregon...the state parks are just unreal here
