You can play NFS The Run at 60fps if you're on anything other than v1.0. Just disable the in-game Vsync and enable Vsync from the driver control panel (AMD and Nvidia will work, can't say anything about Intel) Sadly the cutscenes are still locked at 30fps.

One thing that I really don't like about NFSU 1 is it's crash physics. Car starts to act like it is in space, it doesn't land. While player is doing break dances, others are pretty normal, they pass you very easily.

It is used for street upgrade for Mitsubishi Eclipse 3000GT/Eclipse 2G and for the pro upgrade of the Audi TT 3.2 Quattro and Hyundai Tiburon. Later in NFS MW 2005 it was used for street upgrade of Toyota Supra MK4 and Mitsubishi Eclipse GT.
