the idea that fryno is a man of justice and will fight an entire biker gang just to return stolen goods but he’s not behind killing said gang is hilarious and I want it to be real

You forgot to mention that Eon was concerned enough to have Ghost roaster vow "not to turn Hex into a hamburger". Like the skylanders literally have a guy that constantly has to restrain himself from eating his fellow undead teammates.
I always took Ghost Roaster's status as a Skylander as a purely pragmatic choice on Eon's end. He noticed this clearly dangerous glorified wendigo, and simply offered him a job: Doing so directs Ghost Roaster at Eon's enemies, and joining nets Ghost Roaster free meals. It's a dark, if effective, win-win.
I think the reason why rattle shake is in the undead element is because of the fear factor. rattle snakes are pretty feared in the parts they reside and the undead element also is not only dead things, but also spooky stuff.
Exactly, I never understand when people try to say skylanders don't fit their elements/ are only vaguely tied to them, not every skylander in an element has to be an exact, 100% fit, otherwise every undead skylander would be a skeleton/ ghost, every water skylander would be a fish, every tech skylander a robot ect
It allows for more unique and interesting designs when you are allowed to play around with what makes a skylander their element
Ghost Roaster’s backstory is legitimately one of the darkest backstories to any video game hero I can recall.
I mean, just LOOK at him.
I feel like the only reason ghost roaster was even considered was the fact that no one else was willing to join the skylanders (assuming the cores joined in game order, ssa to tt). Think about it, the last team Eon led assumedly died on their last mission, and if the myths at the time were to be believed, 8 people who shared that purpose died fighting the Arkeyan King 9,900 years prior.
Ghost roaster was also a level dlc pack exclusive so he would’ve been one of the last to join in SSA
I think the reason Olaf ate the ghosts is because he was so famished he went into a hunger induced rage. Also I’m more concerned about how the hell eon FOUND ghost roaster. Was he just roaming the land of the undead and just so happened to se ghost roaster and say to himself “that’s the one I need.”
And this kinda goes back to my point in the boomer video (go watch that if you haven’t already) that being that previous skylanders have been killed. Like eon could have just sicked ghost roaster on anyone who betrayed them and they would be dead, eaten, and disposed of in a matter of minutes.
If only Batterson found Ghost Roaster at that time. The ghosts in the Darklight Crypt liked Batterson’s pies so much that they stopped eating the brains of the living and only would eat his pies.
On the subject of Rattle Shake being in the Undead element, my guess is how certain cultures view snakes and associate them with death. When you think of venom a snake is probably one of the first animals you think of and what does venom do, kills you. Now, snakes can represent other things like health, rebirth, enlightenment, trickery etc. but I think in the context of this franchise they probably just needed another Undead swapper during their time in production and figured it wasn't too much of a stretch to have a venomous reptile as an undead Skylander. Idk, I'm just spit balling here.
On the subject of what Fryno did to his former biker gang members, I lean more towards Fryno killing them. Reason number one because even though Skylanders is a franchise aimed at kids, there is some pretty brutal and messed up elements of the lore you can find if you look in the right places. Second reason, I don't know if you noticed but Fryno has a bit of a temper, so I have no trouble believing in his enraged state, he got carried away, so to speak. Also yeah, I'm kinda disappointed Fryno didn't become a Supercharger. Like, he already has a vehicle and both fire vehicles in Superchargers drive land vehicles, why the heck did Eruptor of all characters become a Supercharger!? Part of me wants to think it's because Eruptor is a fan favorite character but then that begs the question, why did Roller Brawl (who was also introduced in Swap Force) become a supercharger instead of fan favorite undead cores like Chop Chop or Hex? But anyway, I'm getting off topic.
Wanna know a funny thing? apparently in superchargers there is a line of skylanders called Eon's elites who are, and i quote: "The selected few that have displayed courage and bravery against all odds - and are revered by their fellow Skylanders for their inspiration and unwavering commitment to defend Skylands!".
And guess what? Ghost Roaster is one of them! i mean, it's likely that "out of game" he was only chosen because he was popular, but the fact that "in game" Eon decided that the guy who double bretayed him was one of his more trustworthy warrior is something that makes think.
Maybe Eon didn't choose GR out of pity, maybe he's seeing something in him that no one can see.
Eon’s elite were actually introduced in trapteam, but ghostroaster’s EE was made during superchargers.

I mean when you think about it, ghost roaster is similar to red hood, they both died, got resurrected, did bad things, and eventually was given a second chance to do something good.
I like that idea. Considering Ghost Roaster is a ghoul, it's not 100% his fault that he wants to eat things that should not be eaten, so the idea of him being recruited for the sake of redemption is cool
I think fryno was originally liked being a criminal and/or just liked his friends. Didn't want to loose that but overtime realised that it wasn't a life for him and decided turn clean. Thats my explaination why he stayed for so long.

Hex never became a criminal from malefor’s influence, people are simply scared of her
I think I remember reading somewhere that Ghost Roaster used to be a Mabu and when he fell into the Undead valley, it transformed him into his current state (and this has appeared in other backstories-Hex used to be an Elf before her time in the Realm of the Undead fighting Malefor lead to her transforming) . Not sure about the eating ghost thing though
Being tied to the undead element doesn't mean you have to ne an undead creature. Rattle Shake literally throws Snake Skulls. Meaning he is more of a necromancer-aske type of character. Also elemental energy, having control over and element and physically being part of it is very diffrent.

honestly, I got this idea from the superchargers, but I feel like some islands in Skylands are the size of continents and some are the size of small islands. It’s just that overtime the bigger islands break so the necessity of having a fair amount of vehicles actually does make sense because most of the time there wasn’t a whole lot of island hopping like you’re going to Island Island unless you’re traveling and my theory of islands being the size of continents at one point would make sense because of water vehicles and that water does seem to float a fair amount at the time in Skylanders comes to either the water levels or certain levels in general
Ya know, after hearing his backstory, I don't think it's a surprise that Ghost Roaster was the one guy in the comic book that wouldn't mind becoming evil.
I mean tbh that's an overstatement, he wasn't "fine" with it per se, he just didn't exactly see a different option for himself, it was either be a forgotten Skylander not being credited for his work or be an actually respected and well known villain, and tbh considering his lore that isn't mentioned in the video... yeah the Skylanders didn't always treat him with respect, especially Camo lol, I can go in detail on that if you want
I think there are 2 reasons why Rattle Shake is part of the undead element. The first is that his secondary attack can summon bones. The second and the more likely reason to me is that creatures of the undead element aren’t necessarily undead and instead typical fantasy scary monsters. They’re the type of creatures associated with Halloween. That’s why Wolfgang, many of the spider enemies, and originally Hood Sickle were part of the undead element. It’s not because they’re literally undead, it’s because they’re stereotypical monsters associated with supernatural horror. And while snakes are not that closely tied with Halloween, they still fit that general freaky monster trope that people are afraid of. At least that’s how I view it.

I have a theory that Ghost Roaster is the same species as Eon and Kaos (i'll be referring to them as humans for lack of a better term) the main reason I believe this is because of his skull shape which looks like a human's, albeit lacking a nose, which could potentially be due to him becoming a ghoul.
The reason rattle shake is an undead could least inmy opinion either be because of the DEAD bush that always rolls by in cowboy movies or what is kinda common for cowboys to say "dead man walking" when referring to someone in danger
I always thought it was because the Undead element encompassed all things spooky and scary, including snakes(the only snake Skylanders that isn't of the Undead Element is Cobra Cadabra, who's of the Magic Element)
Snakes can kill people so it's no wonder he'd be in the undead element

My guess for Rattle Shake being Undead is because of a thing called ouroborus, which I probably misspelled. Basically, it's a symbol relating to the cycle of life and rebirth.

When ghostroaster fell into the underworld, he transformed into whatever he is now. That’s why he went out of his way to eat ghosts. Also, he made sheepwool *pies* not stew.

@@trapx5909 I have a book from 2012, it says pies. This book came out before Swap-force, and has all the lore for all the Skylanders up till that point. Maybe they changer the lore slightly, maybe someone miss-read something and said 'stew' on the wiki, who knows? But as far as I know, it should be pies. (the book came with Gill Runt)
@spiritomb8 In a book I have that had all the skylanders up to trap team, it says stew. I think some bio writers just get some info mixed up. In the same book, it says that Eon found spyro in the dragon realms, and in a comic, spyro just appeared in skylands out of nowhere.

You know how about doing a video on some of the sky landers which were scrapped, with a series that has a roster of over 170 playable characters it be a cool idea to see what characters were chucked

aight, so one thing that caught my attention, while I do agree that Ghost Roaster was once a villain saying he didn't deserve to become a Skylander because of it is a bit of an overstatement, as he also didn't deserve to fall in the Valley and be turned into a ghoul, and despite his actions against that town it wasn't exactly his fault he became what he became, nor is it his fault he couldn't control his appetite
as for the Ethereal Ruler being the last in town, that's false by what the bio itself says, it says that most of the inhabitants were devoured, there still must've been someone to put the ball and chain on him after all
as for saying "Ghost Roaster killed a bunch of people", we honestly don't know that, as... they were Undead, it is unclear if they can actually die again in that state, you can go to the Story Scrolls in SSA for that one where the Philosopher King Mortallanis said that the Undead don't fear the living as they will be on the same team eventually, so again it's unclear and never properly addressed whether or not ghosts can die or if something else happened to them (we know they can be brought back to life and that possibly some ghosts and skeletons are simply born that way but that's another topic). With that in mind, consider the wording in the bio itself, the Ethereal Ruler was "understandably, a little irritated" finding most of the town's inhabitants devoured, and even that still doesn't say they are actually dead and gone, for all we know they could just be inside his belly, go through the digestion process and then just pick themselves up again once that's done, this is still a kid's game
as for possibly some other lore to offer, Ghost Roaster appeared in two of Flynn's Fables in the Book of Life and Undead, in the first one it detailed how Flynn asked him to cater his date with Cali which didn't go that well especially after Ghost Roaster misheard and made "kneed dough" (a literal cake of knees), and in the second he was actually being judged on whether or not he was the best chef in Skylands, if he would prove himself he would gain renown across all of Skylands so he asked Camo, a very handy addition considering his abilities, for help on that matter, only for Camo to promptly mess up all of Roaster's recipes by blowing all the ingredients he grew which caused Roaster to lose the competition, the Fable itself treating destroying Roaster's life long dream as a good thing because "being a Skylander is way cooler". Safe to say Ghost Roaster had it rough despite how everything seems to be framed
