I just got my first tarantula, and it's a greenbottle blue! Its about the size of a dime. My husband has always been a tarantula fan, and I never in a million years thought I'd like them.
As soon as I saw the skull I thought of Petko, and then 10 seconds later you say "and it'll annoy Petko".
HAHAHA.
My gbb used her dried moss as a door to her hide so maybe yours would've liked some moss too😂
I'm gonna be honest, 99% of the reason I watch tarantula/snake/insect keepers/breeder videos is for rehousings, enclosures, just watching the creatures, etc. It's always so cool to see what people do to create mini environments and what the animals do in them.

secretly I think the reason tarantula owners never stop buying more is because they love getting the setups ready and decorating. that's really what it's all about haha.

Kat..... I rehoused my sling as you suggested and I've seen no sign of mites anymore. I'm gonna start heating me substrate before I use it from now on. the mites were in a NEW bag of soil I bought straight from the pet store. I heated it to 450 ° let it cool and BAM! no more mites!!! So everyone out there....check you new bags of substrate before you use it !!!

Skulls look really cool in enclosures, even though it is something that's been done to death. ESPECIALLY if it's one that webs a lot. Maybe it's my love for old horror movies, but the combo of skulls and webs is just awesome.

Great job rehousing your T's Kat, looking forward to more of them as ik from watching the live stream you have many more to come 🤣. They are very nice enclosures too. They look very well made. I bought one something like them on etsy a few months ago. It was supposed to have been for an arboreal but it is a terrestrial enclosure. I was pretty disappointed. When I tried to get in touch with them it came back daemon delivery failure so I am stuck with it. Oh well..that's life I guess. I don't think it was one of T cribs because it didn't say that is where it's from. Tyfs God bless you

I don’t have Tarantulas, but I love all spiders. I love to find them around my home, and they are left to do there thing. My husband loves them too, however he is a pest control tech. He saves what I call writing spiders, and other types of orb weavers, black widows, etc., and brings them home to me. I get more excited over spiders he brings me than the most expensive purse out there. I’m sorry I don’t know all the scientific names of the spiders. I call them what I’ve grown up calling them living on a farm in Tennessee. When he brings them to me, they are then turned loose outside my very wooded home to live happily, at least I hope. At least they are given a chance to live instead of being killed by home owners that just don’t care or know any better. Also, he brings egg sacks which I love. I watch them, learn from them and love it. I’ve been this way since I was a child, picked up from my Mom, “you don’t kill spiders or any other insect.” He also bring home glue boards that we use olive oil to save many different things, like lizards, baby snakes and frogs. It’s something we enjoy together, trying to save them and turn them loose to live. The love and care you show your babies is so precious. I just happen to come across your videos, and I’m hooked. I’ve already learned a lot. Thank you.

I just got one of the 12x8x8 Tarantula Cribs for my P. auratus. I'm interested to see what you think long run. So far, I think they are made very well, but they seem to blemish and scratch really easily. Much more easily than my cheap DIY Hobby Lobby acrylic enclosures do.

None of my Ts like going for hand strolls. Closest thing was my P.cambridgei bolting up the wall onto the ceiling. It was so nerve wracking getting it down. Praying while on a ladder with a catch cup that it didn't fall or end up on my face.

Omg finally someone who also hates PETCOOO YESSSSS! They had a dead mouse in the cage last time I went,all the fish we get from there have a sickness, they keep bettas in tiny deli containers, they have glofish which they inject with color, and they don’t care about dead fish floating in the tanks. UGH I HATE THEM

That's funny because my L. stratipes, who is about the size of yours, is the calmest T I own and she hasn't ever thought to burrow once.

Hi, new subscriber ☺️, the enclosure that you use, do they come in a size for adult Ts? If not which enclosure would you recommend? I’m having a hard time finding a good one. My Ts are Titan who’s a bird eater, Lilith who’s a albiplosom and shadow who’s a pulchra (I know our Ts have the same name!) 😂😂
