His passing still gives me a headache bcoz he was not just a phenomenal musician but he also taught us how to play this song b4 he passed away he was giving back to emerging musicians.
Absolutely love the transitional progression from 2:05-2:13 Parris! Nice Bro, Nice! This tune just rolls from one key to the next...sort of like the circle of 5th's. Love the drummer's pocket lock, he does a nice job.
This tune just blew my mind when I first heard it about a year ago. The voicings are just so beautiful and is one of those pieces that I can now take through 12 keys regularly to get the chords under my fingers for recall when I need them. It’s taken a few months admittedly but I have got it now. However upon listening again I am reminded of the layers and layers of improvising that he added to this. So amazing, I am grateful to Mr Bowen’s musical legacy which he has left to us.
Late to the table, as I know he was on the music scene for years in a major way....its only been the past few weeks that I've become intentionally familiar with this sensational gift of a musician...prayers and His Peace to all who knew and loved him

it's layered if you pay close attention you can see that the organ section was on.
