+Milo Septett Yea pls expect character from teenagers who are sacrificing their future to play video games and just lost after practicing countless hours.
+Alt U you dont have to study lawschool to have some principles. These kids are making 5-6 digits salary which I'd quit my job to do atleast one year before returning to studies.
The Dade one was just a cultural difference, Koreans didn't shake hands after matches in their region, and up to that point I don't think he ever had to. But that no namer who denied the SKT handshakes was pretty bad.
Yeah, the Dade handshake miss with Gambit was a few years ago before Korea seriously got into the major international scenes, it was a cultural thing. But that OMG player who was too salty to do a handshake was just that. Salty disrespect. I think that was like 2014?
Cultural difference? both korea and china don't shake hands. Gambit guy tapped Dade on the shoulder, he ignored him. Faker just stood next to the OMG guy and looked at his screen.
+Dick Bump Seems I need to explain more, the kid was teased in game. okay, not cool but so what? Instead of being the bigger man he had a tantrum like a little kid and brought it into reality. It's called sportsmanship, him reacting the way he did just worsens his reputation. And yes, it's disrespectful, it's called common courtesy, I don't know how some of you people don't understand that. Even if you would've reacted the same way and agree with him, he was still in the wrong, both of them were.
+Ana Ahn For the first one the guy apologized for it (“Oh My God, I was really shocked after the game. I was still think about the game after the Defeat. When I turned my head around, SKT was already gone. I am so sorry that I did not shake hands with them. I will try to remember to shake hands next time.) and I could understand that one since Faker never tapped his shoulder plus noise canceling headphones and he could've easily mistaken him out of the corner of the eye for one of his team mates but the second one was 100% inexcusable @_@ EDIT: I just watched the full video of the last one and I'm pretty sure he didn't actually realize they were meant to shake hands, since in most Asian regions they don't do that after the game. He may have thought they were just walking past them for something since no one after the first guy tried to shake his hand, but then Alex (Who was last) went to shake his hand and Dade shook it and bowed. Also on Gambits facebook they said he went to them later that day and apologized for it
Mavis They didn't even attempt to bow or handshake, and I have seen multiple other teams bow even when playing against team from the West. That is no excuse for them not attempting to do anything but sit there and be angry.
Abbe Mårtensson if someone did to my team what alliance did to dig. Just dancing at out fountain and not ending the game. I would not shake their hands. That is fun and games for the winning team, but you know what that must feel like as the loosing team, its down right disrespectful, I know that's what the video is called, but its uncalled for.
nummer of the sky Dig is shit, so that's okay. If they have a problem with that attitude, they should improve their game instead of being whiny little bitches.
Actually that in very untrue. In fact in Korea. They shake hands with people whom they meet and greet. Also it's a sign or respect. I'm sure in every culture a hand shake means the same. Just as a hello and thank you means the same. Yes I myself am Asian. It's rude either way
TheFlyingslug umm well if you dont do well and win game you can lose your job/place on the team very quickly, so playing "4fun" i think for these people is a little bit of an understatement
You can disrespect in game and shit, that's funny, you do it for crowd or just to get into minds that you're so far stronger/outplayed them, but after game when you ignore someone when they want to shake hands or just sit there etc, that's just being a douche and not (e)sportsmanlike (Sorry if I wrote something wrong, not best with english).
Hand shaking after a match isn't very common in Eastern cultures. I'm not sure about the first one but the second one with dade he actually apologised as he didn't realise what was going on.

+Declan Ellis They're called protocols. Everyone has to adapt to them according to the circumstance.
***** you dont see any NA players bowing when they play China though do you? Maybe someone should have told them, their just teenagers playing videogames though

Declan Ellis Yeah, but the game was like, you know, created by people from the western world. So I think they have to adapt to this.
***** its not the same for koreans to shake hands after games you know. regardless, salty or not, he's gonna win world's this season so who gives a fuck.
MrFaggotyfagg have you watched OGN at all this season ? samsung blue is number 1, already qualified for world's and dade even beat faker in a 1v1 with a 2-0. Dade is the best mid in the world right now and Samsung Blue is by far the best team right now.
OGN and LPL players do not usually shake hands after a match in there home matches so it is uncommon and they are not used to it happening to them so they get confused or are focusing on the screen.
Sun Yang Well. I think a lot of people aren't mad about them not handshaking. Usually when you get tapped on the shoulder you turn around. He tapped his shoulder twice and got response which I find interesting.
xXdimmitsarasXx he got 25 fucking ad for 2200 gold. He doesnt get ANYTHING ELSE. Its an item that unnecessarily prolongs the game, thus is fineable. Meanwhile Morgana gets 3 hp per sec, 120 ad, mana reg on autoattacks and cooldown reduction. All stats that actually work on morgana. But sure, thats fineable. Meanwhile Darien is a swaglord.
***** Morg with tiamat, wasting flashes, literally wasting them, like doing drake, then flashing, or flashing to the corpse of a teammate. Notice that there were no enemy champs near, they did it for "fun" and etc.
AdrianSpain1 They didnt waste flashes. Kog Maw did one disrespect on a teammate. That was all. And its not against the rules. The REASON they got fined was "unsportsmanlike behavior", which is not associated with disrepecting teammates.
Lee Sin PH How is this offensive? lol European and American people can't tell the difference between Chinese and let's say Korean, so we say asian. And they should slap them, that's rude.
They should not slap them because in the OGN and LPL players do not shake hands after a match so it is uncommon and they are not used to it happening to them so they get confused or are focusing on the screen.
the end was a missunderstanding. he didnt know he should shake hand. after he saw what his teammates do, he shook hands with alex and even bowed as you can see here: ruclips.net/video/QKizSnfnztA/видео.htmlm25s

GPL and OGN teams don't really shake hands after the game. They're usually talking about the game or watching the stats. Don't look at them as assholes lol the world doesn't revolve around the western culture
In my opinion, what Soaz does was for fun, its in the middle of the game and they are still competing in equal position for a game. If the games ends, like in the game Dig vs Alliance, start dancing in front of them knowing that they lose (smashed, by the way) an important match for both, it isnt for fun (look the face of all dig and the face of Froggen).
It looks like the guy who "refused to shake hands" actually didn't know. I mean at 3:18 the guy has headphones on and he even turns around after and is surprised when he sees them. You people saying he's salty when he just wasn't paying attention... damn.

I can kind of agree with the players not wanting to shake hands after a game. The winners do this because they have to. It almost has nothing to do with showing respect anymore but taking the time to type a shortcut during game just to show-off and purposely pissing the enemy off, that is real unsportsmanship. Sacha Rodier It's a lot more screwed up when in dignitas vs alliance, dig was stuck in base and alliance wouldn't finish the game, that's something I find horribly disrespectful. I would definitely not shake hands with alliance if I were dignitas after that bullshit.
lol yeah, it's that kind of disrespect that would make me mad enough to not shake hands with them and in that case I would trashtalk them to death. That's bringing BM to a whole lew level

Disrespect in game is funny but not shaking hands is reserved for worst kind of shitty human beings.
Or... For cultures that don't do handshakes... I'm sorry the world doesn't revolve around the western culture
They obviously didn't know that they had to shake their hand at the end. Its not common in Asian countries whereas they usually bow instead.
Big talk coming from the Red Ribbon Army.

its not really just a game to them though, this is their jobs
TylerBetterDanU Football and basketball players have jobs and they still enjoy them selves from time to time
TylerBetterDanU Doesn't mean they can't enjoy themselves.

If a pro football/soccer player walked up to the enemy and laughed at their faces, nobody would be surprised if they got a good punch in the face.
***** Maybe you're right and I am just easily offended. Dunno, it just seems really disrespectful.
Sacha Rodier yes you are way too easily offended. you should harden up
Sacha Rodier It's a lot more screwed up when in dignitas vs alliance, dig was stuck in base and alliance wouldn't finish the game, that's something I find horribly disrespectful. I would definitely not shake hands with alliance if I were dignitas after that bullshit.
lol yeah, it's that kind of disrespect that would make me mad enough to not shake hands with them and in that case I would trashtalk them to death. That's bringing BM to a whole lew level
