Because the Conservative member quite carefully _didn't_ make that accusation. He asked the question, so that way if it's proved incorrect he doesn't get lumbered with throwing false accusations around.

i myself last year had a harassment claim which was total BS. Went out for a quiet drink with a friend and was hit on. The woman was clearly drunk and was way out of my league. And im smart enough (or paranoid) to know if id said yes and taken her home, by morning it would be a rape case. I've read that happen in the past. So politely said no, my friend was recording me because he thought it was hilarious. The woman then asked if i thought i was too good for her. Told her, no, if anything you (she) is too good for me. You're drunk and will probably, certainly regret it in the morning. Im having a quiet drink out and thats all. Sorry if you thought i was interested. Please excuse me." Joined my friend, had our pint and we left. Not half hour later, had the police at the house claiming i was harassing her and being threatening. My friend showed them the phone footage and we gave statements. I was given a warning for hate speech, drunken conduct (even though id not even had my drink by that point) and was told the owner has bared me and I need to be more careful who I talk to.
I actually went to a lawyer about this and even she said it was stupid. Her advise was the warning wouldnt effect my new job and it would be a waste of time, money and energy to appeal it.

What Raynor did was against parliamentary procedures, classed as "unparliamentary language". The speaker should have directed her to withdraw insult.
If Raynor refused, then she could be named and suspended from the house for 5 sitting days under standing order 44.
So in this case, the speaker has failed to execute her duties properly, but as we saw with Bercow, there is no comeback for a failure by the speaker, except in reputation.

@Michael Jones Nice idea but I really doubt it would work. Healthcare workers currently have this system and they have been repeatedly screwed over by it. I do not do my job in the NHS for the money, if I was looking for money I wouldn’t be in the U.K. when my skill set is the same for working in Dubai with 3 times the annual salary. Even then, healthcare workers protest for reasonable pay.
Now imagine what politicians, people who have literally no compassion, no care, and are driven by only power, would do for better pay? I don’t think there would be any politicians left at all. They don’t have the emotional capacity to do their job for anything other than the good wage.
If you knew the history, not so long ago it was unpaid. This kept the working class rifff raff out. Do you think that is good then? Government run by wealthy landlords...start thinking.

@Michael Jones - They should be paid the average wage of their constituents, the people who they supposedly represent, whose lives and needs they are supposed to understand.
An MP living on £80k+, not to mention the all important 'expenses', is in no position to 'represent' a constituency where 90%+ OF THE EMPLOYED are on less than a quarter of that, even those that actually attempt to, and it would provide that incentive to work in their constituents' interests, not those of the 'party line'. That still seems to be distinctly lacking, despite repeated promises over recent years of reform and accountability.
Raynor uses that language online, she just forgot where she was and that it was loud enough to be picked up. The entire Labour front bench have become a nasty, toxic piece of work. To think I once voted for the shambles that has become modern, angry, flip flopping, shouty, sweary Labour makes me sick to my stomach!

Unfortunately, despite it being all over social media, the swamp was never drained. Too many of the "old guard" from the worst "parliament" (2019) remain ensconced in the House.
