I'm literally blown away at the sheer power and COOLNESS of World Creator 2. So happy to have purchased it. THANK YOU for such an amazing tool. The filters blew my mind. WC2 is everything I've been looking for!
Thank you :) - but this video is so so old :P - the UI and the features list has been extended a lot and improved so much. Make sure to check our tutorial videos on our website ;)
I just learned about this program from looking up the Worlds challenge on cubebrush and I have to say I'm totally blown away, this is the most powerful terrain editor and landscape builder that I've ever seen, this is amazing! This can really be a game changer for level design in games with how you can build up such a detailed and extensive terrain in the program itself and then integrate that with game engines like UE4 and Unity, and it looks a lot more easy, more intuitive and more fun to generate, sculpt and paint terrain in World Creator than in those engines themselves, I've always loved to tinker around with map editors in games and this one looks like the ultimate map editor. I'm wondering if you have plans to release a demo or trail version in the future? For those people like me who can't afford even the Standard version currently, but don't do any game design or work in that field but just want to mess around, sculpting maps and terrain in World Creator itself, because its just the dream program for someone like that - which no other terrain engine or map editor can provide and certainly not with such an intuitive UI and powerful features. I've been looking for and dreaming of a world editor like this for so long! Nothing else comes close!
Thank you :) - actually this video is very old. The new looks is way better, same for the features. Also, World Creator 3 is just around the corner and that one is not only faster than the current version, but also has a real-time path-tracer included and tons of new features with also many improved existing features :) (BTW: if you purchase now, you get version 3 for free because it is included in the maintenance plan).
@@worldcreator3d Awesome! Yeah I noticed how old the vid is when I commented haha - How are the prices? I am no professional by any means and would be just showing more creations off to my audience, this would make my life so much easier haha
Hi, for me more interesting integration feature with other software like 3ds max, maya etc for photo realistic rendering in close view of terrain, not real time game engines. Can you make video about that? What format for export, textures, props etc. Or it's only via geoTIFF displacement? How to make huge areas of terrain from separate zones?
Since World Creator supports all known formats that are usually used to import height-maps, splat-maps, color-maps and more, tools such as 3DS Max and other are fully supported. We will do videos about that and also ask our community to create one on their own. World Creator just got released and it will grow and grow and grow :)
The software is great, but you have to know that you can't export vegetation in your 3D app, trees, grass, flowers etc.. (3ds max etc...), this is only written in the documentation, so this is quite misleading, and sad. Besides a one click export option would be more than welcome, right now exporting one map at a time doesn't give good results... So World Creator is great to play with but quite useless in production (apart from games), let's hope they fix this.
Well this video is so old showcasing a really completely outdated version :D - you should check www.world-creator.com for the latest version and on our Discord server you can get an idea of how World Creator 3 will look like as we posted some screenshots :) - texture repetition can be solved by selecting "Eliminate Tiling". Hope that helps :)
@@worldcreator3d meanwhile I found it indeed! I bought a copy from your shop and it looks very good. Though there are some issues with the assets, but I will address this later on - it's off topic here 🙃
it would be nice if some of the World Creator 2 for unity features worked like this. I spent a lot of money for that extension and it kind of feels like it's been abandoned for this... 8(
The textures are included, same for Grasses. Trees and other 3D objects (as well as water) is also included in the Standalone version BUT you cannot export them out of World Creator.
The assets are only available inside World Creator (except the textures) and you cannot export them. With the new release we have removed them and replaced them by the new Asset Library which is open for everybody (you can export them and also import your own custom assets). That new Asset Library was just released a couple of days ago and it will grow more and more within the next few weeks.
Hi. The Unity plugin is different from the Standalone version of World Creator 2 since it is more Unity specific. The Standalone version is by far more powerful and also supports exporting data to Unity, Unreal and other well known tools. We do offer 30% discount codes when upgrading to the Standalone version. Please contact support@bitethebytes.com for further information or any further requests. Thank you :)
Thank you very much :) - a DEMO will be available very very soon :D - but that demo will have no support of exporting any kind of data but all features will be unlocked.
The Paths Filter actually takes the place for this but splines are intended as well and will function as filters, offering the same power and madness :P
World Creator i mean.. i dont have Those option at all. I got general, effects, Alien, Canyon etc.. but noone of the categories has spline or path or anything
Let me get that straight. You offer a very good product which costs between 200+ $ (for the limited version) and 550 $ (at least, for the full version) and all i see in the video is Minecraft, Minecraft, Minecraft and... Minecraft. It's so annoying. You really believe that someone who wants to make a terrain for Minecraft will spend that money ? There are gazillion ways to make Minecraft terrains for free. And you think that someone will buy a high end terrain software which even makes espresso coffee in real time, to make a terrain of blocks for Minecraft ? It's like buying Cryengine which costed more than a million dollars a few years back, to create a Pacman. WOW !
Really? I actually showed not only the Minecraft filter but other filters as well. And as said in the video, the Mincraft filter was choosen for some special features because it is the most obvious to recognize on the terrain. Sorry if this annoys you but there are a couple of other videos around :) Kind regards, Stefan
ok Stefan, I apologise if i was harsh. As i said, it really is a very good piece of software (it will be even better when the rest of the features are ready). Too bad it doesnt make espresso too. :)
How the heck did you people manage to read my mind?!! This is *exactly* what I've always wanted terrain editors to be like.
:P

the options are great, simple and very specific.

Really awesome! Is it possible to eliminate the texture repetitions (for instance the ground/grass textures)?

6:25 can you make endless terrains in 3ds max with octane ?
How does the Unity version of this tool stack up against the standalone? Really awesome tool btw.
Just about to purchase WC3. Once I have made a terrain map is it possible to import it into RustEdit? TIA.
Can you make a floating land mass in this? Just curious. Looks like an awesome world building tool.
But first! Must get new comp! :D
Great tutorial. But you didn't mention how to export those trees, ocean to another 3d program.
Could you show me how to make a perfect 45Degree Slopes?
I'm trying to make this work on other packages, but the workflow was a real hassle.
You're a genius !!
OMG! Awesome
Can you please do a tutorial on how you would use WC2 with Cinema 4D,, I need to do fly through and animation.
it would be nice if some of the World Creator 2 for unity features worked like this. I spent a lot of money for that extension and it kind of feels like it's been abandoned for this... 8(
Please, is there going to be some new tutorials on this channel?
We are on it :) - the next update is coming by the end of January with tons of new powerful features :)
Perfect, cant wait, I recently bought WC2 and fell in love with it, awesome job!
Could you please tell us your system specs that you used while recording this?
At that time it was a 970 GTX GPU but this video is a very very old version of World Creator :) - you should check www.world-creator.com
Are the Textures/Water/Trees/Grasses inclusive in the World Creator Package?
The textures are included, same for Grasses. Trees and other 3D objects (as well as water) is also included in the Standalone version BUT you cannot export them out of World Creator.
Thanks for the fast answer! Is there a chance to upgrade from the WC2 Standard (Unity) to the Standalone Version?
Yes, sure :) - please write to support@bitethebytes.com and send them your invoice number (of the Unity purchase).
Sure :) - please contact support@bitethebytes.com and send them your invoice number (that you have received from Unity after your purchase).
Where are all those trees and assets? I downloaded the assets package and it has just a few meshes (one dead tree)
The assets are only available inside World Creator (except the textures) and you cannot export them. does world creator 2 have infinity world option or is there place to add one? :)
Sure :) - just disable Real-Time mode and there you go :D (still GPU powered)
wow for my game I need this. Can I import full scene with trees and grass into UE4 ?
That's my question
Can I creat caves ?
ETA on tiled landscapes>?
Already included :) - the tiled export can be found under the Export options inside World Creator.
Blown away from all I’ve seen of your software. Do you offer a trial period at all?
Thank you very much :) - a DEMO will be available very very soon :D - but that demo will have no support of exporting any kind of data but all features will be unlocked.

Can I use this for unreal engine
Absolutely - check www.world-creator.com - the Tutorial page shows some Unreal stuff :)
Hmm why dont i have the "design" tab in the filters?
Because even the design tools are filters :)
World Creator i mean.. i cant see the splinetools
The Paths Filter actually takes the place for this but splines are intended as well and will function as filters, offering the same power and madness :P
World Creator i mean.. i dont have Those option at all. I got general, effects, Alien, Canyon etc.. but noone of the categories has spline or path or anything
Maybe because you own the Standard version instead of the Professional version ;)
How to export the whole scene?
The scene cannot be exported as a single mesh but you can export the heightmap, splatmap and more and also the terrain itself as a single mesh.
Is this able to generate infinite terrains?
Sure :)
?can you save it as an obj file
The terrain shape can be also saved to an OBJ file :)
can we use it for unreal engine 4
Yes :)
Yes, of course :)
