@@jankesbmwu aren't wrong about DMEC, but its a complety diferent car, 400 pounds less, more weight in the back plus the tires are semislick they run on DMEC in FD just sport tires. Plus it was rainy that put's diferent perspective
i remember aasbo being one of the first guys you got drawn with in your first round of pro and he wiped the floor with you so it was really cool to see you a few years later making him look like a complete rookie

Im gonna be honest, I never understood the hype about Adam before but watching him behind the wheel of the e36, I’ve become a fan. Dude can drive that car consistently well
he's always had really high highs. he throws big angle and makes fast, snappy transitions. the problem has always been that driving like that is very difficult and very very risky, so he's had consistency issues, and broke the s15 a couple of times getting into walls. the s15's drivetrain was also not the most reliable, so it broke on its own a couple of times as well. he's been driving the e36 with a smaller turbo and less power in small series like klutch kickers and weekend shootouts for years, he and the team are super comfortable with it, they just put a bigger turbo on it this year and said "what if we just ran THIS in FD?" FD has lots of drivers that can fill the zones, go fast, and not make too many mistakes, but watching drivers that throw huge angle and get hyper aggressive on the chase is what's actually exciting about watching competitive drifting

The foot camera really shows how much help the nitrous is. The left foot is much less busy than it used to be looks more like the rtr foot camera. He definitely learned a lot with his time with Vaughn and James Dean.

This is awesome 20 years ago we used to go to track rentals Englishtown to drag race our e36. I remember being able to hear people drifting at a spot close to the strip. Im from Southern Maryland but majority of our car friends and biggest sponsor was from Connecticut so alot of atco and Englishtown back then.R.I.P. 😢

I’m not trying to “hate” on your regular mechanics, AT ALL. I myself was once a casual member on a team that ran up to 7 cars at the peak of the business. It was an arrive and drive business for people with deep pockets (entrepreneurs looking for “marketing” tax credits). There is a big difference between a crew member that does this for the love of it and a small side hustle and a member who’s built a career out of it.

I'm not into drift (SCCA road racing is my thing) but I must say this BMW was putting down some smoke. I assume this due to the power it's making which you looked faster in the first and last turns. You smoked everyone out in practice, racing, everywhere. This thing was really hooked up but that tire smoke was on another level.
