  • Testing different shift control modulators for a Ford C6 3-speed transmission on a 1986 F250 with a rebuilt top end for more torq and flow, thus more vacuum. In this case the higher-vacuum, black, modulator seemed to do the trick.

    Surprised there is no retainer clip for that vacuum line??

      There isn’t. It’s a pretty snug fit and I suppose the negative vacuum pressure helps keep it tight.

    I screwed mine in too much and I can't get it back to anything normal. Only move it 1/4 of a turn.....

      Bummer. It’s only $35. Probably cheaper at local parts store.
