They are staff copies, I have hundreds over the years with working with Disney, paramount and dvd publishers like 2 entertain. All the companies at Christmas used to exchange their titles with the other companies as a staff benefit. They are often not copies that would’ve be sold on shelves and sometimes the films themselves have time codes running throughout the film as they are test copies.

I used to work for HMV and this lot looks to have come from when they held conferences for management across the company.
We were all given goody bags and we came away with about 30-40 DVDs/Blu rays each.

I would be tempted to "open" one of the sealed games, and double check the game is inside. It's so easy to re-seal a game and put the official PS strip in it. You will be suprised how far counterfeiters will go to.
I can remember when I had 20+ games I owned, all unplayed and sealed, brand new from various supermarkets - I took them to GAME store to trade in, and the guy behind the counter said its company policy to "take the wrappers" off and check the contents, because soo many bad traders were using these "re-wrap" machines, and taking the game DVD out

      @@doubledeckercouch6251 that’s messed up.
I’m guessing all your sealed games was in the box, or you’d have probably mentioned it but imagine if some was missing?
      Awful position to be in.
You reminded me that I’ve read a few reviews on Amazon where the customer states that the box was empty and had no game or whatever they was expecting to be in there and to be honest, I always just thought they was lying to try and get a refund and keep the item for free.

Would have at least given her something in the region of £50. I do that a lot with charity shops if I get something good and makes me a tidy profit will donate something back

@@adamatraore9583 I said the same thing.
I’ve done the opposite to this bloke, many times.
1 time I was on Discogs music website, see a record that I own, going for £70 and only 1 copy.
I owned the record and absolutely didn’t care for it, anymore and I listed it for 1p.
In December 2020 I found a bag on park bench with many items inside and 1 was iPhone 12 Pro Max brand new .
I handed it to police to try get back to rightful owner.
I was on a broken iPhone 4 and I still couldn’t keep the found phone, especially as it was just before Christmas and could have ruined it for someone, if it was a gift.
If this guy found that same phone, Christians would have came early for him and he would have sold the phone worth £1250 for about £1200 with a big grin on his face 😭
But check this for bad karma, I recently bought my first brand new iPhone and someone stole it before I even received it.
I was really pissed off and also really hurt. Especially as I’ve not had a properly working phone in years.
Plus I spent the hottest week of the year at home waiting for a package that Amazon kept promising will arrive tomorrow for about 8 days.

@@mariejeamar605 that’s a lovely thing to do. 1 thing I really don’t like about some people, going too bootsales garage sales etc, the item is incredibly cheap and yet they still try and haggle the price down and usually it works.

I'm not sure what's up with that GTA pricing on eBay, I see people paying as much as £60 for it yet there's several sellers selling new UK sealed for under £20. That £110 auction is really strange. Someone seriously overpaid there!

    • @NicHills

I looked at the cheap £20 ones and they are re-seals - In my opinion they shouldn't be listed as 'New' - but that is why they are so much less, they are not technically new and won't have the factory sealed sony strip.

He runs a business, no business would pay more for a product then the seller is asking. Would you go into Primark and offer £20 for a £4 T-shirt because Nike sell it for £40? DVDs rarely have value and the amount of work to be put in to sell individually or in pairs is immense. The DVDs were a fair price no more no less. The games were a great deal but only one or two worth over £20, yes the GTA may fetch £100 but it may take time to sell. Time costs money. It’s a great deal yes but nothing dishonest about it, he paid what they wanted and will make slightly more for his business by putting time and effort in to sell.
