فائزہ شاہین ایک لمبے وقت سے لیبر پارٹی سے منسلک ہیں اور ان انتخابات میں ایک بار پھر میدان میں اترنے کی تیاری کر رہی تھی کہ تبھی الیکشن سے چند ہفتے پہلے ان کا انتخابی ٹکٹ واپس لے لیا گيا۔ وجہ ان کی سوشل میڈیا سرگرمیاں اور غزہ کی جنگ پر ان کا موقف بتایا گيا۔ فائزہ کی جگہ لیبر پارٹی نے انڈین نژاد شمع ٹیٹلر کو ٹکٹ دیا۔ لیکن فائزہ کی ڈی سلیکشن پر برطانوی میڈیا اور سیاسی حلقوں میں خوب بحث ہوئی۔
