I laughed so hard when I realized it was actually Guillermo del Toro as The Toro.
Unbelievable good cameo
I knew he’d be in the show and still didn’t notice him😂
When he first appeared in the long shot I thought, look, they've cast a Guillermo del Toro lookalike and they call him Toro, like it was a tongue and cheek homage or maybe they tried to convince Del Toro and didn't work out, etc.
Bro, Del Toro's glasses make his eyes so big, I would've never realized it was him by myself.
It was weard because I was immidiatelly that: "That's Guillermo Del Toro" and then convinced myself that it isn't because of his eyes. It was just that he didn't have glasses on 😅
The foreshadowing that Fred Armisen's pen was one of the faulty gadgets from the podcast was genius!
Makes so much sense that Hader would be friend with Cuaron, the influence is definitely there in the filmmaking. No wonder there's so many great shots in this show!
This scene was where we saw Hank be Hank again,(when he argued with Toro about not being able to see the tech devices because it’s a podcast) it was delightful.
What a great cameo. Guillermo Del Toro always shouting out and supporting other directors is one of the things I love about him.
This and Pappy McPoyle are iconic cameos. This guy has really epic taste lmao.
Fred Armisen cameo was best imho
@@ICNiJuShihis face had me dying lol
I like how Hank questions podcasters as assassins and Toro thinks it is because Hank is concerned about it interfering with the podcast...
All I want is for Bill Hader to direct (and ideally write) a horror. i'm not even a horror guy but he would be incredibleee. he's been directing this season and its been awesome
Your so so fucking right he would be a FANTASTIC horror director
You're lucky 'cause that's what he wants to direct next
Them having a podcast is pretty funny, and kind of reflects Barry for "assassins wanting to do a kind of high profile thing that assassins probably shouldn't do."
Best comedy tv shows of late .
To be honest, I'm waiting for this podcast episodes as much as for a show itself 😍
I hear ya! I was REALLY hoping that Hader would return to the podcast for each episode for S04 and I was over the moon when they revealed that he's doing all episodes :)
Me too
Even though Toro may tease him about being an inexperienced director, Hader's sense and instincts directing are superb.
Bill casually dropping that he’s besties with Alfonso Cuarón lmao
I’m looking forward to Bill Harder’s future feature length films🤞🏽
I think this two minute scene is priceless! I watched this bit that opens S4E3 five times.
Guillermo and Fred Armison threw me off guard😅
He was amazing, maybe we get another short scene with him
As soon as he came in I was like is that him??? Then heard him talk… oh shit.. that’s him?!? Lmao
I just realized this is the guy that was in Death Stranding. Looked up some movies he made and I actually cant believe I didnt know who he was. This guy is brilliant!
"They record on Thursdays." 😆
Let Bill know I just how he delivers punchlines. The pay off with Fred Armisen. As soon as I saw him. Full on belly laugh. Incredible
I was like “that looks like del toro, nahh why would deltoro be acting” turns out it was
So many great moments seem to be written on the fly, I wonder if the show's ending is what they planned all along or if it changed along the course of making the show.
Barry is the most underrated show since The Wire
Watching Ted Lasso's episode yesterday I can't comprehend how it's more awarded, maybe due to being family-friendly and easy to digest.
This man looks so fucking different with out his glasses Omg💀
He was hilarious as Pappy O’Poyle on its always sunny
Apparently I didn't love him enough so Bill decided to let me know he's friends with Alfonso Cuarón and now I can't stop thinking about it.
WTF I DIDNT EVEN REALIZE IT WAS HIM 🤣 🤣 🤣
Loved the scene 😂😂😂😂
The hit was the funniest shit. It was so good.
Caught me off guard when Bill said him and Alfonso are friends?? Thats so cool
I feel like an idiot for not realizing it was Guillermo. Doh!
when are the new ones podcasts coming out
I just realized he was Pappy McPoyle on Sunny. I knew he looked familiar lol.
Between del Toro and David Lynch, all these auteur directors are going to put character actors out of work.
I thought the whole thing with the podcast and the assassination attempt was the funniest thing this season so far. So when did he get the idea to have the assassin gadget malfunction? And when did he get the idea to have Fred play Nestor? And since Fred survives the scene do we get to see him again?
0:50
Of course he brought his own cane. Of course he did. He probably has a whole room full of canes in Bleak House!
Now I am curious of how Bill Hader is friends with Alfonso Cuaron?
He just wandered onto the set and started eating everything on the craft services table.
Please, GDT...... this is in no way "fat shaming" but please watch your weight.... we need you to be around for a looooooong time and healthy enough to helm tons of great movies then become an "éminence grise" to empower future budding auteurs.
Season 4 …. Where did the humor go? The first couple seasons were magical. It’s like some characters knew they were in a comedy, and other characters (like Barry) had no idea comedy was happening around them.
Season four is just all drama and it’s dry as hell.
It’s a lot less fun to watch.
i thought that scene was really awkward ...
Kinda agree. I like the idea of the scene more than the actual scene itself but that's fine. I'm glad that they had super fun making it!
