  • Louis Ford is a fifth-generation New Orleans musician, carrying on the traditions passed down to him from a musical family lineage dating back to the late 1890s. A master clarinetist and saxophonist - just as his father, Clarence J. Ford, Sr., was - Mr. Ford was mentored by legends of New Orleans music: Manny Crusto, Willie Humphrey, Sweet Emma Barrett and countless others.
The #CourtyardConversations video series continues the tradition of oral storytelling for the Preservation Hall archives, documenting and preserving the history of New Orleans music and culture - as told by culture bearers and elder musicians who make up the Preservation Hall Foundation Legacy Program.
