Federal Signal STH-10 noon blast/growl - Ontario, NY - 3/19/24

Here's a video of an STH-10 doing a short noon blast or growl in Ontario, NY. There is also an ACA P-10 at this fire station which is Ginna siren 41. I've recorded it before for growl tests and didn't realize that they had another siren in the cupola of the fire house! Jacob (J&J Entertainment)was nearby recently and told me he heard a 12 port siren go off in attack for a fire call. I went out here to see if it goes off at noon, and sure enough it does! A nice surprise! It was snowing so I recorded this from the car. I'll get a better video of it next time. Anyway, enjoy the video, and feel free to comment, like, and subscribe for more!

I was a member of the Dansville Fire Department in Western New York for two years before I moved and we also have an STH-10 it used to go off everyday at noon, after the fire department stopped doing the noon tests it would go off the first Monday of every month for the monthly siren test, but now it only goes off for calls. Dansville also has two Model 5 sirens located on William Street and another that used to be on Knox Street but those two are no longer active due to complaints from residents who live on the street. The only active one Dansville has is the STH-10 located on a pole behind the fire hall. The fire department in the town I moved to has a Sterling M-10 next to the fire hall and Gamewell Diaphone Horns in a cupola on top of the village hall and police station. They only go off for calls though. That fire department is Geneseo Fire Department.

Yeah I wasn't sure if this one would go off at noon especially since it's close to Ginna. Some fire stations do and some don't do noon tests nowadays.
