fun fact : okay is the most frequently used konglish word by koreans
But I think you say oke everywhere. I live in the Netherlands and we also use it. I also use it a lot and everyone I know use it too.
oh i see why my country use oke instead of okay perhaps it's because your country colonized my country back then
@@mirfanfirmansyah9094 where are you from because I know people and they type it like okey but I always type it like oke 😊
i'm from wkwkland but it's oke because i was born decades after independence day
@@mirfanfirmansyah9094 I've never heard of that country before
The chopstick bit was cute when they said “let’s learn this” - very respectful to Ni-ki and his culture
Jake gives me the most MATERIAL GOWRL vibes lol
Lmaooo he's a girlboss
💅🏻
swagger material growll
Jake is so babygorl
From the very beginning, them not realizing that he learned taekwondo in the U.S. because he was already here. Lmao
Ni-ki: okay okay
jay: for the love of God SHUT YOUR MOUTH!!!
ni-ki: 알았어요 okay
Jay:don't open your mouth!
Ni-ki:Ok ok
lmao
as someone who was born in seattle and currently lives near washington dc I FEEL YOU JAY 😭
jay i suppose?
@@Eleanor-uz7gf CRAP THANKS I DIDN'T EVEN REALIZE
SAMEEE edit: lol I just realized not living in dc but still
Having to specify "washington *STATE"* 😭 WA things
Agreed
0:12 wow they would totally be in different countries
0:51 He looked so traumatized.
Edit: For those that don’t know the reason Ni-ki reacted like that is because in Japan they have a cultural tradition where they pass the bones of the dead from chopstick to chopstick. So Ni-ki was literally reminded of dead bodies, funerals, & anything to do with death. Imagine being reminded of those horrid images while trying to eat in peace poor kid.
Niki was too stunned to speak😭😂
wait like literal bones of dead people?
@@peachsunooat3ambcwhynot831 Yes, after they cremate the body, relatives will pick the bones from the ashes and pass them from chopstick to chopstick to put in the urn.
I doubt it’s that deep. I gasped too but that’s from the trauma of my Japanese mother scolding me when I did some kind of unacceptable table manners as a kid 😂
It’s the same in Vietnam. At first I thought that Korea would have the same custom as us (Vietnam, Japan, China) but surprisingly, it doesn’t. In Vietnam, when you pass food around from chopsticks to chopsticks, it is believed to bring you bad luck, that is why Niki reacted like that
actually i think its the same in Korea too but they just don't know😭
No he reacted like that because he remembered funerals and death. In Japan they pass the bones of the dead from chopstick to chopstick. Poor kid was trying to eat in peace only to be reminded of those horrid images
@@justvibing2171 oh thank u for letting me know
France is same with Japan for the elbow
@@roastbeeff what? I used to be scolded badly by my aunt for doing that 😥
0:52 niki: ”gasps in japanese”
2:38 LMAO SUNGHOONS FACE
For all foreigners to 🇺🇸, just refer Washington, DC as "DC". That's our local way. Ta-da!
ugh that chopsticks scene got me goosebumps too, being japanese and trying to pull that move 1 single time makes you have only 1 single try
the dreaded number quatro
As someone living in Seattle Washington, the end KILLED ME 😭🤣🤣
jay explaining washington & washington dc is so funny to me as an american haha
2:24
Sunghoon: "Don't even answer"
Ni-ki: "ok"
Everyone one of them is almost good in English whenever they use English
I didn’t know a fellow Washingtonian was in enhypen! Let’s go!!
purr
there combacks be getting me 🤣
Holy shit Jake went the school in the same city as me. That weirdly blows my mind.
As a fellow person from Washington. You literally have to say you're from Washington State or people will think you're from DC 😂
Not if you say the town or city in Washington you are from, I would know if you said Seattle, but I am American though.
Koreans don't often know of Washington State. I had a really interesting conversation with a taxi driver where I tried to explain where Washington was and he had no idea. He just kept asking if it was near random cities (LA, New York, Chicago) LOL.
They really have no concept of how big the US is, so I don't even try.
But if they know Jay Park, they might know Seattle lol
4:36 i almost fell at jungwon's scream
When someone asks me where I’m from I just say seattle instead of Washington
they are material gworrlls
"Being girlbosses" I'M DEAD
I was Niki at 4:58 - having grew up with Japanese culture at home (parents worked in Japan for a long time and growing up there are always Japanese folk at home) I learned not to do this so I was like "NOOOOO"
Jay explaining that Washington and Washington D.C. are different states is so funny to me and idk why but probably because im also from Washington 😭
which one though 👀
@@enajemWashington is a State and its capital is Seattle (west coast). Then we have Washington D.C which is, as Jay said, a place far away from Seattle. It is on the other side of the country (east coast) and is the U.S. capital city and is in the state of Maryland (if I'm not wrong. Sorry, I'm not north american)
@@karolcadenaarciria5863Washington DC is bordered by Maryland and Virginia (that area is called DMV), but it’s not in either state. It’s not a state itself either, it’s considered a district (DC stands for District of Columbia)
Lol ni-Kis face when he was telling his older members how to eat correctly lol ni-ki:*gasps*
Ni - ki's reaction😭😭😭😭
that foot volleyball legit frustrated me bc of their "OK" party 🤣
I'm sorry but I keep on repeat that gasp at 00:51. It was so... I don't even know. 🤣 But I thought the "not pass food from chopsticks to chopsticks" and "no elbows on the table while eating" is a common knowledge. Guess it's not. 😭
Edit: Also o think OK is so common now that it actually is a part of every language. 🤣 I don't even consider it English anymore, since even elders use it on a daily basis, lol.
There's no such thing as common knowledge. There's thousands of cultures with totally different customs.
@@braddgenie2294 Yeah, I know that. But there are also things that most (not all ofc) people know no matter where they are from and that's what I think when I say "common knowledge". 🤗

_Jungwon said nice tho🧐_
Slayy 💅🏼✨
It’s okay Jungwon I too don’t know why Washington D.C. isn’t in Washington state😂
President George Washington declared that the US Capital was to be in federal District and Since Washington D.C. is the only federal District in the US .I learned this in my 4th grade US History Class
@@marydavis5234 ah okay. I didn’t have history in grade school also it’s been a long time since 4th grade and a long time since I had a history/geography class

Jake is my main bias. Heeseung is my second, btw. Jay could be my BFF. Ni-ki could be my second best friend. I usually have an American accent since I grew up with American English but for some reason I have a mix of Australian and English accent probably because I grew up watching content creators with many accents and I have a good ear for listening without subtitles and also, I grew up triliangual. I learned Hiragana Japanese when I was in Elementary for 3 years. Basic Japanese. I was always in first place since it was very easy and I have a thing with learning languages quickly and imitating others a lot helping me learn. Jake became my bias since that one time I watch that short video of him speaking English and his vibes, oh, his vibes, man. Jay, I love the way he speaks, so cool. Riki sounds like an anime character. All of them feel like main characters in a very nice drama, let’s go.
I am so sorry for making you guys read so much but I’m a bit bored so yeah. Take a cookie. 🍪
Niki and his Japanese etiquettes...
😁🙈🙈🙈😑
Jay, you totally know about the capital city of America is Washington DC but when HYBE Fams gathering when Na PD ask you, you say Washington instead of Washington DC 🤣 this boyyyyy really soooo cute 🤭🤭🤭
as an american growing up in america the washington state vs washington dc thing confused me for many years of my childhood
I was today years old when I found out Seattle isn’t in Washington DC 👀
Yeah Seattle is in the state of Washington on the west coast. While Washington D.C. is in the state of Virginia on the east coast.
I didn't know Jake went to that school 😭 ITs so close to mine
Ok but why is no one talking about that scream of Jungwon 💀 4:35
As someone living in Washington everyone always thinks you're in Washington DC
As a Washingtonian I find it funny the only Washingtonian they know is Washington DC
Everyone saying the chopstick thing. There's no reason to expect a different culture to have any of the same customs as you
Of course not, nobody said that. But there’s no harm in being accepting of other cultures especially when it comes at literally no expense to you. Not passing from chopstick to chopstick was a simple thing that the boys could do in the same amount of time. What a weird thing to say 🤨
No harm in still being respectful
Taai ol
JAY IS AMERICAN!?!?!?!
Sorry I’m just a casual enhypen listener and I’m shookith😂I didn’t know that

Wait the education was free I live in Brisbane I want to go to a school where the educations free 😭😭😭 school fees are so damn expensive
in europe, in most countries the education fee before college is free i believe, in france it's the case at least (except if you go to a private school obviously) then you have to pay for the school food for lunch bc most kids eat at school and for school furniture
@@ilohoa yeah that’s the same here but you have your school fees you pack your own lunch unless you want food from the tuck shop which then you have to also pay for food you also have textbook fees and then and excursions, incursions, camps, uniforms this is for high school and primary school anyways uni is even more expensive it’s thousands
@@yoisme6695 textbooks are free in France because it's the education minister that finances it, we don't do excursions, at least mostly just like once each idk how many years, we don't do camps and we don't have uniform
@@ilohoa yeah that why the education you get In australia is good just the education system sucks and it’s so goddamn expensive and now with fluctuations
How is this "girlbosses" tho
2:36 his face when he realizes omg hahaha
in episode 26 of Invincible Youth (about 6:15) - there was a quiz between Kim Jong-min and Han Seon Hwa - the question was "what is the capital of the US" - Jong-min answered "Washington" - which was judged correct - Seon Hwa thought it should be "Washington DC" - which is correct - but the judgement wasn't changed
for americans - "Washington" can be used to represent the US capital - as long as it is clear that is what is meant - if there is the possibility of confusion - americans will distinguish them by adding "DC" for the capital - or saying "Washington State" or "State of Washington" for the other
The «OK» thing 😂 😂 😂 😂
Why jungwon scream sound like Q
What is 'girlbosses' mean here? I don't understand
Nice edit😊👏

SO WASHINGTON AND WASHINGTON DC IS DIFFERENT?????
Yes Washington is a state while Washington D.C. is in Virginia and is a distric. It's actually the capital of the USA. It's called Washington district of Columbia hence Washington D.C.
@@danielabeverly41 ohhh i always say washington dc whenever someone would ask me what's the capital of usa. now i feel bad for giving wrong info 😂
@@eggceptionalskz4021 it's not the wrong info Washington D.C. is the capital of the USA. It's just in the state of Virginia. While Washington is a state on the other side of the country near California (west coast) Virginia is on the east coast.
@@danielabeverly41 OH RIGHT. i mixed it up lol. thanks for the info! 🥰
Washington DC - which is the capital of the entire U.S. - is a city on the east coast of the US
Washington is a state on the west coast of the US - and one of the cities within it is the city of Seattle
Washington DC is not part of Virginia - it is independent of all states because it is the capital of the U.S. - it is located on the border between the State of Virginia and the State of Maryland - but it not part of either state
