At the 15:42 mark, what happened to the “is” part when he sang “Although our love still special” instead of using “Although our love still is special” or “Although our love’s still special”? Was it muffled out?
On their own, backing vocals were too phasey and weren't nice to listen to. Put it with those since that's where they were placed with in the surround mix.
Yeah I think that's why so many people have a hard time figuring this one out. John was co-producer so I find it odd that he would have tweaked the pitch but a lot of times they engineer it for the tempo and not the pitch. My tuner says it's flat so maybe it was tuned to A 432
He used to tune one string out of tune to differentiate himself from the rest when he listen to the music after, the producer of this record told this story in a RUclips channel interview.
