    There are a couple of problems with this video.
    Queue 1 gets renamed to LAN - but that is not explained in the video
    Queue2 later magically gets renamed to Server.
    Just to be clear, there are three queues: LAN, Server, Other; where LAN is the first one created, Server is the second and Other is the last. Other than that, very simple tutorial. Thank you!

    • @mikrotik
      @mikrotik  Год назад +5

      Yes, but names don’t matter, as the order of child and parent queues are explained, if you are following along

    • @japanstation1
      @japanstation1 Год назад +6

      @@mikrotik While I agree with you, since names are mere tokens, and have no intrinsic value when the software is running, but that said, someone unfamiliar with this might get a little confused. Thank you for your reply.

    Queues have always been one of my favourite features of RouterOS, even though I'm not an complete pro at setting them up and there seems to still be a few minor issues with queues in certain situations. If you spend a good amount of time fine-tuning your queues you could really benefit in the long run, especially on busy links or slower or contended internet connections

    Hello, after disabling fasttrack, I have high CPU usage and from the available 800mbit, 70mbit remains with 100% CPU load. I am using bridge with vlan enabled. Is there any magical solution to fix this (I use hex s)

      More than likely you didn't setup any mangle rules so the firewall is busy processing every packet passing through it. Need to setup rules for the initial packet and marking the connection.

    Well yeah, but disabling fasttrack makes my router to max out at 200mbps, when I have 1gbps downstream. Can this be fixed in the config?

    • @mikrotik
      @mikrotik  Год назад

      Disabling fasttrack makes the traffic be processed by the CPU. If it is making your download slow, it means you need a faster CPU, to do queues and other CPU intensive tasks.

      Agree there seems something is amiss when one uses simple queues. once concurrnet users are above 40 despite no using even 10% of resources there is latency.
