  • The Turkish foreign ministry has reacted to UEFA's disciplinary investigation against a Turkish national footballer. It's summoned the German ambassador, after Germany's interior minister made a statement targeting Merih Demiral.
    In a statement, the Turkish Foreign Ministry says the targeting of Demiral's hand gesture, after his team's victory against Austria, was xenophobic. Demiral says it was an innocent expression of his national pride.
    The gesture is a national sign that's been used by Turks for thousands of years.

    In Turkish sagas dire wolves are mentioned many times, guiding and helping Turks in times of need. Even in ancient chinese records Turks are described as half human and half wolf, perhaps because of it. So it isn't something new at all rather thousands of years old, those chinese records are from 200 BC for example. And wolf is a national symbol for us like bear for Russians or bald eagle for Americans etc. It isn't something political etc, whoever started that investigation must be very ignorant or worse trying to disturb Turkish national team. In both cases shame on german government..

      Its true - the first definite references to the Turks is Chinese /as Tujue, which referred to the Göktürks/ from 6th century. First reference to Turchia, meaning "the land of the Turks", had begun to be used for Anatolia by 12th century's. All other is fairy tails. There is not Chinese records references Turks before 6th century. Not even 1 /one/.

    • @ggoddkkiller1342
      @ggoddkkiller1342 3 месяца назад +6

      @@enbo1728 You are completely clueless about what you are talking about, there are Chinese records from 200 BC about 'Xiongnu people' that they are described as former slaves, half Han chinese and half wolf, having extraordinary smiting skills etc. The earliest Turkish saga, Ergenekon saga mentions Turks are driven by a superior power and at the edge being wiped out, a dire wolf guides them deep into Altai mountains where they find a valley accessible by a single gate. They block it and remain there for decades if not centuries until they recover. It is also mentioned having extraordinary smiting skills and they get out by melting a metal vein of the mountain.
      Second earliest saga which matches with Chinese records is Oghuz Khagan saga which mentions how Mete Han kills his father to become Khan then uniting nomadic peoples and defeating Chinese. All matching with Maodun records of Chinese including the way he became ruler by killing his father, directions of conquests etc. First noticed by Hyacinth a Russian historian who studied both Chinese records and Persian records of Turkish sagas. So there isn't even a question about 'Xiongnu people' being Turks or at least proto-Turks, in fact later Chinese records assume that way as well and it is accepted as Göktürks were once Han chinese by Chinese themselves.
      So first known usage of 'Türk' word being in 6th century doesn't mean Turks magically appeared in 6th century out of thin air. I really don't know why people claim such a nonsense anyway. Especially while it is proven even some Huns had Turkic names! Nomadic empires were always confederations consisting many different peoples, nomadic Persians, nomadic Chinese, Mongols, Turks so nobody knows for sure if ruling class of Xiongnu or Huns were Turkic but Turks were a part of them for sure. Even Mongol army of Genghis Khan was actually majority Turkic and it was why their empire collapsed so fast..

    This is BS I looked at his celebration after he scored and it very difficult to actually identify the gesture at the time no one mentioned or commented and the goal celebration lasted a matter of second which included teamates jumping on him and hugging him etc. Nancy Faeser's the German Interior Minister complained to UEFA. I wonder if this gesture had been done from a different team would there have been an uproar. I question Nancy Fraeser's motives in this affair. I think she should be spending more time dealing with far more serious issues that are ongoing in Germany. Perhaps finding who actually blew up the Nord Stream pipelin for a starter. She should also ponder the question if any of the billions of EUROS that are being sent to Ukraine arrives in the pockets of AZOZ persons who we know have very extreme right wing leanings. Its ok to make lurid hand and mouth gestures which was beamed all over the world with millions of children watching. Instead of two hands held high making an unrecognisable signal when you look at the video Leading to the player being banned (and may have contributed to The Turkey loss against the Netherlands. The gesture has been blown out of all proportions by still photos that distort the context of the celebration. If i were a German I would be contacting Nancy Freser to explain why she is not concentrating on far more important issue which is her actual job. Not making politics capital out of a football celebration.
