He was manipulative, yeah but in the end all his lying and shit was kind of understandable. Especially considering even with his own motives, he was using lies to uncover a truth which would protect everyone else that he COULD protect within the games rules.

But at the end of the 2nd main game, he's realized you aren't a monster, and are just a good person. But when you kill Kanna, the person in the game he cares the most about, who is a literal child, he thinks he was right about you to start, that you're a monster that puts on a facade of caring about others but will throw others away for your own benefit.

It's kinda sad the song is trying to point at Sarah like the bad guy though in a way its accurate in her mind. She despised herself for what happened so this song could represent what she sees herself as even if others didnt including Joe. This game gives serious feels and I think everyone should like this then go play the game! It's really amazing even if it can get annoying at times.

This literally captures every aspect of the game, every ending, and the emotional pain it put me through. I’m literally in love with an animatic I didn’t know this was possible.
Seriously, the symbolism here is AMAZING! The "deceipt so natural" part is amazing. It shows Alice and Kai, which makes perfect sense since Kai hides the fact that he's associated with the kidnappers and Alice hides that he's a murderer. For the "A wolf in sheep's clothing is more than a warning" part, it shows Sou. I don't have to explain. The "Baa baa black sheep, have you any soul?" part is nice since it shows when Mishima is voted, the reason why it's there is because they indirectly killed him, in which the question, "Have you any soul?" "Telling all your lies like second nature" part is also very good. Because it's indeed a second nature. But, it's not actually him, just a masquerade by him due to "the list". The "Karma's gonna come collect your debt!" part also is great with the scene, since it shows Sara's guilt in getting two people killed. "Aware, aware you stalk your pray with criminal mentality" also fits well, since the hallucinations always stalk Sara until the perfect time, in which they strike. The "petty little coward" part also fits, since the fake Reko is begging for her life, and doesn't actually stand up for herself and just tries to get sympathy. I'm tired of rambling lol, TL;DR: The symbolism is great and it adds so many depth, unlike most animation memes.
“so, could you tell me how you’re sleeping easy, how you’re only thinking of yourself?” with gin and qtaro also fits pretty well,, from the final attraction when qtaro hesitated to push the button to sacrifice himself and save gin. also how in the whole damn game qtaro accuses the kids

this is so beautiful! the way you portrayed all the routes was masterful. the color coding really really helped the bright saturated red of the hallucinations stand out! especially with the black background and the softer colors. the small details on how when halucination joe pops up the camera shakes so much more mwah mwah! amazing! the way you made the characters pure white when dead is amazing! and how when joe had his back facing sara and he was white. only for him to turn around and turn into his light blue color like normal!! ahhh its so cool! And dont even get me started on the song choice. My God. Every Single word was used so well. you made it feel like this song was made for this game. this is my personal favorite part : The Expressions. holy moly I dont have words that can describe how in love with them i am in. keiji, sara, and sou especially when keiji is fighting midori. when sou is on the keyboard for the joe ai. whenever sara is with joe or having her hallucinations consume her. ah! its so gooood!!!! and all the symbolism was beautiful too! ok sorry for the long comment I just really REALLY love this. in conclusion THIS IS SEXY. I know nothing about YTTD, and only checked this out because of how it was. But after watching this, I'm actually tempted to look YTTD up. Edit: I've looked it up and I'm playing the game! And I'm so glad I did, I love it (until my favorite character dies haha)! Edit 2: I finished everything in the main storyline so far! I'm really really *really* glad I saw this animatic, otherwise, I probably never would have become interested in YTTD enough to look it up and realize how truly amazing it is. Thank you!
Okay, this might be long so I'm sorry- This is just amazing, there's just no words in any language that can describe how well put together this is. Not only is the flow of the animatic itself fluent, but how it perfectly flows with the song too. Not to mention the your art style is so clean. Especially the facial expressions. I especially love how you perfectly timed things, even the small parts. It just fits so we'll. You used every lyric to your advantage and it shows. Also, the way you sort of color coded the characters is really nice. You captured the story and emotion extremely well. Overall everything about this video is just spectacular in every way. Nice job.

Spoilers up ahead(or ig below): When I saw the Sou death scene play- which was also the scenario I got in my playthrough- I was half depressed and excited to see the Kana ending Joe turn to Sou ending Joe(aha ha ha QuQ y did Sou have to die to get happy conclusion to scary Joe). It hurts so much more as chapter 2 ends with Sara erasing her memories of Joe after waking up from that mental shock(not sure if that’s the right words for it). I’m just waiting in chapter 3 for her to finally remember the person missing in her memories ToT Honestly though, I can imagine if we went in that direction, Sara might not even remember Joe as the game ends.
I REALLY like how not only is this a really nice summary of the plot, but you actually managed to make the lyrics match up with the story at some points. Like the "only thinking about yourself" with Qtaro being a coward and suggesting they kill Gin, Keiji screaming "You will pay!" at Midori, or even how that breakdown matches up surprisingly well with the malevolent Joe AI's speech to Sara. And on the other side, the most upbeat part of the song being paired with the reunion with the nicer Joe AI. I don't watch AMVs really but out of the few I've seen this is one of my favorites.
I watched this before I knew what the game was I somehow thought Joe was Sara’s dead brother or boyfriend and Mishima seems liked a villain who they “defeat”
If I watched it without knowing about YTTD I'd be the same except id think sou and nao were the villains, and ranmaru was her new boyfriend after joe ( which I mean, he is in a way )
I watched this for the first time, loving the animatic but having no idea what YTTD was about. It made me look into it. Now, knowing what happens, I appreciate this so much more. It’s incredible.

Spoilers, even though this video is full of them. 1:36 / I love the frame of Nao smiling as she's dying. One side of her face is clear, while one is blurred out. It shows how she's scared of dying, however, she puts on a smile for her friends. She was killed unfairly, but rather then just accept it, she uses it as a temple to convey a sort of hope. It's her way of telling the group to move forward, especially Sara and Reko. I know this isn't in the actual game, it is however a great showing of what you believe, and now what I believe. Good job.

Like the "only thinking about yourself" with Qtaro being a coward and suggesting they kill Gin, Keiji screaming "You will pay!" at Midori, or even how that breakdown matches up surprisingly well with the malevolent Joe AI's speech to Sara. And on the other side, the most upbeat part of the song being paired with the reunion with the nicer Joe AI. I don't watch AMVs really but out of the few I've seen this is one of my favorites.

1:36 / I love the frame of Nao smiling as she's dying. One side of her face is clear, while one is blurred out. It shows how she's scared of dying, however, she puts on a smile for her friends. She was killed unfairly, but rather then just accept it, she uses it as a temple to convey a sort of hope. It's her way of telling the group to move forward, especially Sara and Reko. I know this isn't in the actual game, it is however a great showing of what you believe, and now what I believe. Good job.
