      @@hhabill although i have already written multiple replies, RUclips somehow happened to delete them🤦🏽‍♀️I am writing this reply one more last time. I took private IELTS lessons which contained speaking classes every Sunday. There i had a chance to use the phrases and tips i learned from Keith. IELTS preparation, to my mind, shouldn't last more than 2 months or 3. So that you don't get tired of it. Good luck

    Activity 14:33 to take up (a hobby)=to begin 14:45 to take to (a hobby)=to enjoy a lot and doing well. My daughter started ailido. She took to it really well. 15:19 to show off= to do sth,trying to show others how good you are.(in an annoying day) 15:37 to rub you rub someone up= to annoy someone. You rub them up the wrong way.= you annoy them. 16:21 to nod off=to fall asleep

    1- We thought to drop in on to the pub after office hours but it didn't worked out.
    2- Usually, I knock off at 6 pm but yesterday I knocked off at 10 pm.
    3- Me and my friend thought to hash out the trip planning.
    4- My senior has a habit of chipping in.
    5- I have done up my house with beautiful paintings and show pieces.
    Are these sentences correct sir?

    People. 6:24 to wind someone up=to annoy or upset somebody;let’s wind up=let’s finish 7:10 to make something out=to see or hear sth clearly, To make someone out= to understand clearly, I can’t make her out=I can’t understand her. 9:28 to do up a room/place=to decorate 10:21 to drop in on =to visit someone or place without a planned invitation.

    Work or study related :
    To knock off means to reduce the price.
    To knock off someone means to murder or kill someone.
    To knock off means to finish work.
    I knock off at 7 pm.
    On Friday I knocked of early.
    To push on means to continue forward.
    To rabbit on means to talk incessantly.
    To chip in means to interrupt by adding a comment.
    Can I just chip in?
    He chipped in with some good Ideas.
    To chime in means to interrupt by adding a comment.
    To move on means to continue the next place.
    To hash out something means to talk about something with someone in order to reach an agreement.
    We need to hash out the details of our presentation.
    Last night we spent hours hashing out our holiday plans.
    What do you need tp hash out?
    People related phrasal verb :
    Let's wind up means Let's finish.
    To wind somebody up means to annoy or upset so.
    Whenever we speak about teaching, she winds me up.
    To make something out means to see or hear something clearly.
    I can't make it out means I don’t understand it.
    I can't make out your handwriting.
    To make someone out means to don't understand somebody.
    I can't make her out means I don’t understand her.
    When learning vocabulary, use a picture to help you remember.
    Places related vocabulary :
    To do up ( room or house)
    To do up means to decorate
    I have Just done up the bathroom and it looks as good as new.
    To drop in ( on) means to visit someone / place, usually without a planned invitation.
    I am visiting Dhaka city next week, I might drop in on you.
    We could drop in on the pub on the way home after work.
    Can I drop in on you tomorrow?
    I dropped in on jacob.
    I went round to jacob's house.
    I went to jacob's.
    I propped round to jacob's
    I popped over to jacob's.

    Events related vocabulary :
    May be or party or presentation.
    To turn out means to happen in a certain way.

    Make a phrase in the present and the past.

      Every IELTS examiner must be a band 9, so they must be proficient in English and will know these.

    My cambly tutor suggested that it’s quite old and youth nowadays won’t understand what I meant

      It is very similar, 'weigh in' is to add your ideas or advice to a conversation, but not necessarily interrupting.
