SXS Recovery And Semi Bumper

- We took Old Blue and the recovery trailer up to Hells Revenge to grab the sxs used by the Sand Flats Recreation Area to check and maintain the trails. It was having running issues and had died on them that morning. We grabbed it and took it to the repair shop. Then we had a call for a tractor-trailer that the front bumper had broke and needed welded. It was right up the road from the shop so we took both trucks. One to weld and one to hold the bumper. We got that all handled fairly smoothly. Thank you everyone for watching and supporting us.
Shirts are available on www.trailmater.com. We are reordering now, but check back often for availability. Did not expect them to sell out so fast. Thank you all for the support. - Авто/Мото
First time ever, nearly 88 years, I ever heard a 3/4” wrench caller a “three outa four”. Where have I been? Great!
Good thing you unhooked the battery from the bumper to avoid burning up the Bumper Control Module during welding. Top Notch Work :)
glad to see you get these fine gentleman back on the road and making America happen truck drivers dont get enough credit for what they do for this country thanks for another great video
For sure, truckers are the ones that keep everything going. And not just in this country, but around the world.

VC DISSE A GRANDE VERDADE DO MUNDO PARABENS..............BELO HORIZONTE BRASIL....TERRA DE CAMINHONEIROS SOFRIDOS.......
Rory & Sean are the Batman & Robin of Recovery & Towing.
Very entertaining Dynamic Duo ----------
I want to give a huge shout out to all you truckers, you guys and gals keep the US. from coming to a grinding halt. 👊👍🙏
Shawn is like the 60% half of that team so often. His dry humor is unmatched!
It was great to see Shawn be able to help others from his tribe😀 Lighten up
Call me crazy, but there is something soothing about the slow chirping of mud terrain tires on Utah sandstone.
Recoveries or repairs happen all over. Never a dull moment because you never know what is next. Thanks for sharing.
14:15 “I would definitely get that replaced soon”
You know that’s staying like that until it falls off again 🤣
Hey perfect timing! Another towing adventure with Rory and Sean! Thanks for taking us with you.
Glad to see that the angles on the front toolboxes (ammo cans) works great and stays naturally out of the way....
Nice job on that repair, I'm a retired welder/ fabricator, great to see that repair done right. Joints beveled, not surface welded, vertical up not down. Great videos!
You guys really are the best at "field" repairs. Always very professionally done! !! !!!
Trail mater? Rory and the guys? Any time! Always a great time with you all !Just don't go all "corporate" on us, please!!
All has been said great video
I don't think Rory is capable of going corpo, he's too much Real American - works hard to support his family and his fellow man, whether they're male, female, white, brown, whatever in between.
I was thinking the same. "The love of mammon is the root of all evil." In today's English it means: Getting our sense of value from what we possess. I see Rory getting his sense of value from who he helps.
@@novax4me Agreed, there are several that have been sellng out ,and they know who they are
I don't think we have to worry about that- thank GOD. Rory is too much his own man and capable of thinking for himself. He's also very capable of instructing someone of which train to catch and which station to depart at... sadly too many have never learned or have lost that attribute. 😉
Rory’s challenge for the tow truck Olympics. A car sitting on flat asphalt and absolutely nothing wrong with it. Tank full. Battery good. Not stuck. Under a shade tree. Then and only then maybe the others might have a chance 💁🏻♂️
Rory’s videos never fail…always a new scenario, entertaining, and educational all at the same time. Keep it up Moab team!
Always a pleasure Rory and Crew love you guys ❤️👍✌️💪🏻
Frieghtliner repairman. Excellent.
Had a 76 stepside with a straight 6, when I was a boy in Georgia. 35’s on a 8 inch lift. She went through anything. Except that ravine I drove her into in the dark when I was drunk. Fun times.
Not only is it entertaining but always educational 😁
the truck job was a fun change from the norm, nice work guys. keep those truckers moving 🤠😎
Those guys seemed very grateful ,just like I am for all the truck drivers and people in the service industry . like the old Alabama song said. you work a 40hr(plus many more) week for a living just to keep this country moving along.
Another great video. ❤️❤️👍👍🌟🌟❤️❤️🙏🙏
That trailer is badass. You and your team do great work. It is always a pleasure to see you work.
Your channel just gets better & better, & they always do . You’ve gotta start somewhere. In the beginning with you doing everything it was alittle ruff but I’m loving what you do & the great progress.
Yeah if all the truckers stopped Trucking, Life as we know it would stop also. 👍
Crazy how much views you're getting now. Almost 7000 people watched this in less than an hour. That makes me so happy to see
Every little detail of equipment design- pure genius!
Lap done lapped over your Belts !! LMAO. Its got GAS in it ........ Shawn is the bomb !!
Great video the mobile welding set up is amazing to watch. Stay safe
Great recovery for the new wrecker! Also great assist for getting the truckers back on the road. We need all the trucks running to get this economy a little help.
Getting the UTV back to the shop, with some tenuous up climbs, was a final OK. The surgery & repair on the semi-bumper was interesting & informative; lift, weld, bend, weld, scrape, weld, then bolted back on so the gentleman could be on their 'trucking way". Truckers and trains (outside of oceans & waterways) delivering most products to America these days. And Rory there in 'quick mode" to help the fellows out. Impressive!
Nice recovery! Nice repair on the bumper too!! Love the attention to safety by disconnecting all the electrical on the bumper before beginning work!! LOL!!
Another good video from Rory. When He first began to post I thought “I don’t care how bad the videos are I’m gonna tune in because he is the type to not accept mediocre.” And my how they have improved. Way to go Rory.
A relatively stock dually, without lockers, towing a trailer ... and then there folks with custom built rigs struggling.... Rory's driving skills are Top Notch!
Nice repair on the Semi! Keep on rolling guys!
Thanks for sharing 🇨🇦
To bad for Matt and Paul but we all know trail mater is gonna win the towing olympics
That 3 out of 4 wrench never ceases to impress. Sean just latches it on to a breaker bar to use as a breaker bar extension. That one tool probably has stories to tell...
Is there anything you Don't Do? Wow!!!! You are the Man
A good crew gets the job done...again.
This is how you know Rory is a real welder. Uphill weld with 7018. I cringe when I see folks on other well known RUclips channels building structural stuff and welding it downhill with mig.
Blue Chevy with Trailermater to the rescue, and then "sticking" bumper mounts back together with ease...Classic! Thanks for sharing with us, always entertaining. Much love and respect, God bless.
Team work, a universal win. Thanx 4 sharing
When I watch these videos and others where folks actually make/fabricate and fix things-- it reassures me that we are not YET a country of sissies... that can't do crap... keep up the excellent videos and the great work that your team does!
I can't figure out how to do a direct reply.
Hey Rory we sent him your way. That broke off on blue hill south of town at 1 am that morning. We hauled the bumper on our Wreaker to that parking lot
Thanks for helping the trucker
Impressive camera rolling shots !! Success recovery once again.
I love that blue wrecker. Got to see more of it!
Awesome job, awesome video. You and your Crew make it look easy . Thanks for sharing your videos.
Nice repair on the truck, as a truck driver I can say they really appreciated it and you probably saved them a huge bill from a rip off shop
Edit: and that was one hell of a good weld job, that wasn't a temporary fix that was permanent
You'd like to think that. But vibration will crack the weld over time.
Better than a trail fix, but yeah that bumper needs to be replaced or properly fixed in the near future.
@@1one3_Racing I think they have rest of the welds on that bumper to worry about before Rory's weld crack
Shawn, never ever use a grinder without safety glasses. I've learned that lesson the HARD way. I was thinking that the bumper was going to break again. It needs vertical gussets. So I was pleased when Rory said something to the customer about that.
So many of these lads don’t bother with ear/eye pro for the “simple” things... and when your channel reaches so many viewers, it only encourages more folks to skip the safety. Sure, “nothing has happened” .... yet. Until a shaving destroys their eye one day and it’s all over.
Be safe, be responsible and encourage proper PPE
Nice job guys. it's always nice to have the right tool for the right job
Thumbs up Rory on saturday morning rocovering the side by side
The bumper incident reminds me of the time a wheel fell off just as I turned into the parking lot of the wheel alignment shop. Thanks for sharing.
Nice recoveries and repairs. I can't help but notice how much Rory respects the guys, Shawn, the others, who work with him. They make his job much easier and he recognizes that. You're a good man, Rory,
Real world people doing real world work. Well done guys thanks for sharing.
Love the tow truck..can’t go wrong with a square body.
IMHO, made just the way a You tube video should be made. Not a lot of jibber jabber, and get the job done. Roy, I really appreciate your content and skills.
Love your nothing fancy getter done attitude.
Not only do you have a multi-purpose record but you're a jack of all trades.👌🏽💪🏽👍🏽👏🏽👏🏽🤷🏽♂️🚛🛣🙋🏽♂️😁😊😎. On the road again. You know they're going to ride like that until that falls off again.
as an ex truck driver, you did good, very. ty gentlemen.
Great quality upload ,content and editing / Wonderfull mess in the workshop and on the work benches ! World wide trade mark of talent . Jonny UK
As soon as you started welding on the bumper I was ready to put did you disconnect the semi batteries. LOL I'm glad you added that at the end LMAO
Great video as always, be sure to unhook the battery from the bumper so you don't burn up the bumper computer lol.
richard--Thanks. guy! That is FUNNY!
Welcome to Moab! T-2 did fine, knowing Rory it's a work in progress with continuous upgrades. The trucker was very happy to get on his way. Having a really great crew sure helps! Another Good Show! 👍
The old-school way !! I like IT👑🇩🇰⚒️🇺🇸
Jack of all trades. Rory can do it all. Awesome job.
Nice video, thanks for posting.
Shawn is AWESOME 👍 needs to be in the vids MORE 👍😁 love your CHANNEL, found you from Matt's off road🔧🛠👍
You continue to impress me with what you do and how you treat people you interact with! You are a good person.
Another fine job doing what is needed to get the trucker back on the road, so he can make money for his family.
Boy Did You SAVE THEIR BACON, They Were in A Major JAM, & They Were SO TOTALLY Appreciated For You Guy's Doing That
Another GREAT Job 👍 👌
Rory and his team keeping semis rolling down the road. Sweet !
The belly dun lap over the lap belt
You and your friend Shawn are really the good at this ! I will probably never put myself that far out to need your type of help , but thanks for entertaining me
Was a nice surprise to see you posted this today.
That was smart to take both trucks
Hard working truckers! Safe travels 🙏
Another awesome recovery of side by side and semi bumper weld job
Thanks from England.
Only guy to make a square body attractive too me. I have witnessed a 94’ 3/4 suburban in 4L pulling my buddys slid off the edge f100 long bed. I mean it was like it was flat street amazing torque really impressive.
"I know what's wrong with it, It aint got no gas in it". Come on Guys, It's the wrong color to be Matt's. :D
I will say Rory, when that SxS started, I half expected some tourist to come screaming. :D:D:D
Always a shout out to Sean and Justin for some AWESOME camera work.
Awesome welding as always Rory.
What's the difference between toilet paper and a curtain?
I don't know.
So it WAS YOU! :D:D:D
Great to see Sean again.
Rory and Shawn to the rescue again! Amazingly competent rescue & repair guys!
Nice recovery and welding. Moab a yabba dabba doo! I’ll show myself out.
Professionally done
Nice work. Get ‘em Back on the road.
Nice upgrades on the trailer works just like ya designed it, great video thank's for sharing ❤😉👍
Hey Rory //Shawn & ""NEW"" cameraman !!! Great recovery & Weld job !!! Maybe lockers for ""OL"" Blue in the works along with ""A/C "" ??? Have a good week & ""STAY SAFE "" !!!! 🙂🙃😛👍👍👍👍👍
Two tools makes perfect sense to me. Maybe have a charging station in your shop. Upon returning, plug all your batteries in so that you are ready for the next job. Just a reminder; know you know this.
TRAIL MATER IS MOST SKILLED OFFROAD RECOVERY SERVICE IN U.S. WE SHOULD HELP HIM EXPAND HIS SERVICE ALL OF U.S.
An easy thing you can do is to get a "smaller" 12" radiator fan-- like for a honda civic, and mount it to the top of your cab like a ceiling fan, (center cab, where it's not really gonna bump your heads)- and just put it on a simple switch-- and when it gets extra hot, you can just blast that fan and get some airflow on your sweat. It works well when you really need it and you can't use your wing windows because you're going slow or idling. It's an easy upgrade.
What can I say !! Another good one.
Nice scenery with video of recovery! Best....I loved the “bolt” joke at the “real ending”! It’s ALWAYS fun to tagalong with you guys!! WISCONSIN
We disconnected all batteries and electricital from this bumper before start welding. Kool!!!
I love old square body Chevys. They are just so nice
No longer just one Swiss Army truck - you're on way to two with Blue, whohoo!
Hey Rory, I am really enjoying your videos. Been watching from the beginning. You guys have made great progress since your first video. Keep up the great job.
That trailer design is unmatched, solid tool indeed! 🤙🏽
🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 Truck drivers needed
Sooo glad to see someone weld vertical uphill , not downhill for once. Great job.
Another trucker out on the highways of America, thanks to Rory, trail mater and ole blue, plus Rory’s welder helper, trail partner and handler! Great job guys!
