Thank you for the explanation. I can't believe no one has commented yet. I have removed the small piece and the blower motor already, but am waiting for the evaporator and expansion valve to arrive before going any further:) I did manage to get the upper right screw out with about 12 inches of extensions and a wobble bit but the screw fell behind the trim to the right of your foot well. Luckily I fished it out blind with a long magnet. I didn't notice that you can put your hand up there to reinstall it so I hope that I can also. I had planned to magnetize a socket and try starting it first then zip it on with my impact driver. Thanks again.
What did you do with that center pin on the expansion valve did you remove it first to get it out seems like it's going to be in the way if so do you know how you removed it
@@chriskolar hi Chris you really helped out with that seventh screw I could not find where it was at got another question for you the old evaporator has a electrical connection with to prongs stuck into the evaporator do I transfer to new evapiratir?
Hi there! Trying to get to evaporator but gone stuck with the cover.i’ve removed all screws, cover seems to be loose it is moving a bit (about haf inch ) but not coming off. Any idea please?
Was the expansion valve bad? Or the evaporator. If it was the valve, how do you figure out it was the valve. I’m trying to diagnose my own 07 CRV and want to make sure it’s the expansion valve before I do. But the issue I’m having is cool to warm air and also a hissing noise while the a/c is on. No leaks, compressor and fan kicks on but my pressures are off. The high side is about 150psi but my low side is way too high at above 120psi or more. At first I thought a bad valve then after rethinking everything, I’m beginning to think a compressor that’s pumping just enough but not sucking enough through the system.
My pressure readings were off. Low too low high too high. You may have a bad compressor because the low side should not be that high, it's like the compressor differential valve internally has failed. If replacing compressor replace the other components too like the expansion valve, dryer, and condenser.
Chris Kolar Yea I was thinking the Compressor also, but I just wanted a few other tech’s opinion. I’m on a tight budget and will probably just go with the compressor and receiver drier hoping that the compressor didn’t break any pieces internally and that the receiver drier caught all/any debris, Gonna do the compressor and receiver drier for now. Thanks!
Hi , i have a honda accord 2006 the evaporator is blocked up by dirt becuase it was without a cabin filter so i need to clean it without removing it , do you have any idea if you can help?
Ok this is a little off the beaten path. To properly clean a evaporator is a difficult job at best. There are a few foamy spray cleaners that will work great. The main problem is the ability to spray water thru the evaporator in reverse. If you remove the fan and use a vaccum with a extension to reach up into the plenum area you can vacuum the dirt off. You will prolly waste a lot of time on this and be frustrated. I have tried to clean them before.
Ang pangunahing singaw ay nagkakahalaga ng $ 120 dolyar Dapat palitan din ang TXV o expansion balbula. The evaporator core cost $120 dollar. The TXV or expansion valve should be replaced too.
I love you for this video. I wasted like 2 hours trying to figure this out on my own!

Cool, glad this helped
Thank you! I was pulling my hair out...
Hello sir,
I want to change the evaporator core. for this, I have to detach the expansion valve screws?
Yes
Did you do all dash out or just remove glove box?
Just removed the glove box
@chriskolar Thanks bro one mechanic suggested me it should remove dash out but this model no need

It was not a problem. Not in the way.

If the screws are all out, wiggle it around a bit it will come off

Chris Kolar guess i have to remove it and do the work then , thanks for the advice 👍🏼
@@ghanimalenezi2462 it will be much better if you replace it.
It would be cheaper if you just replace the whole condenser
