The original DMZ tracks were so great. Even Americans seem to appreciate it. As an American myself, I really dug deep to understand the complete history of dubstep, and now I love classic (real) dubstep over Brostep. What I previously thought to be “dubstep” I have now given the name “Brostep” like it deserves. I’m still diving deep regarding real dubstep, and I hope one day, I’ll have 90% of all classic dubstep tracks in my playlist.

When I was younger, I would’ve thought this kind of Dubstep too basic but now I’ve been enlightened. IMO either hate all dubstep or love all dubstep. Don’t pick favorites.

It's definitely an acquired taste when you've been introduced to the genre by brostep, briddim etc... I was around 13 when I started listening to dusbtep and began on the usual suspects of the time (skrillex, excision, knife party etc) and i only started to truly appreciate the classic stuff around age 18.
